Big Boy II (aka Boysie). Irish Sports Horse - 15.1hh - 12 year old Bay Gelding.

My daughter started riding him when she was 12. Took a year getting to know each other with unaffiliated shows etc, then his main focus has been British Eventing and starting only last year (2023) at BE80, he has this year, competed at BE100, completing his first 100 with a double clear. A real Badminton/ Bramham grassroots contender but still learning on the job.

Coming from a mainly SJ background, in the last 3 years he has evented, showjumped, been to (unaffiliated) dressage competitions (PB of 23.7%, normally low 30), competed in BRC clinics, champs, teams and individual classes, PC rallies and camps settling really well at any stay away shows. He excels at Arena Eventing, has been to the beach, on the gallops and loves pleasure rides.

Brilliant to hack alone and in company in all kinds of traffic. Also perfect with cantering around woods or in an open field. Doesnt buck, bolt, nap or have any vices. A dream to lunge and has impeccable manners in and out of the stable. Never seen ears back and always greets with a whinny.

Perfect for the farrier, dentist & physio (all of which are up to date), loading & travelling (lorry or trailer), to catch & lead off.

A real people horse and gentleman who will give you his all once he knows you so a confident rider willing to take the lead and hold his hand occasionally, would excel with him.

Finch Fancy (Frenchie) is the best XC horse you will ever ride. She is bold, with massive scope, adjustable, will go off any stride.

She is neat and athletic over Show Jumps, always wanting to jump clear.

Frenchie raced, just a few times on the flat as a six year old in 2018. She has been owned by her current owner since the beginning of 2019. She started her eventing career that season and rapidly progressed up through the levels.

I've ridden my whole life, growing up through PC and eventing up to Intermediate. But now I would like something safe but smart to do low level eventing, clinics and to accompany my young children on rides.

I keep the horses at home and I look after them myself, so they truly become part of the family with one to one bespoke professional care. This could be a life long home for the right horse.

Super smart handsome horse. Rocco has been with us for 3 years ridden competitively by my daughters since they were 14.

He has show jumped to 110 and evented successfully to 100 coming 2nd individually at Offchurch Bury PC champs last year with 32.4 dressage and double clear (xc equireel here: https://vimeo.com/856712855/eff142b4dd). In the winning team at 100 PC show jumping at Gatcombe Park 2023. Double clear at Dauntsey horse trials with low 30's dressage. Numerous winnings and placings at other show jumping and arena eventing competitions NSEA and PC.

Flat work is established with 3 lovely floaty paces, usually low 30s. He loves his show jumping. He is careful and scopey, forward to a fence and frequently placed. He is strong, bold and brave xc. He has never bucked, reared, bitten or kicked and has proved a strong, forward, yet genuine, safe horse.

Rocco is lovely on the ground, loves a scratch and cuddles. Good to catch, shoe, load (travels comfortably in a HB506 smaller size trailer), wash, loves to be clipped and stands happily in the trailer at events. Lives in or out and hacks out alone or in company, is easy in open fields and good in traffic.

He has done little last year due to an injury sustained February '24. He had careful, slow, re-hab and with recent clear scans is now back out competing. (3rd SJ at West Wilts 90cms end Nov) and ready to go on. This is reflected in the price.

Selling Rocco will be very sad for us and the best home is required for this lovely horse. He is currently shared between mother and daughter but with A level commitments and University looming for daughter, he needs competition in his life and current mother does not want to compete.

Having recently sold my own horse, I’m now searching for a new partner to help me rebuild confidence and progress beyond the 90-95 cm level.
