Hugo is a 17hh 16yr old (2009) black gelding by Sorento (Sandro Hit) and out of a Fidermark mare. I brought Hugo as a 5 yr old, and in that time we’ve competed successfully in young horse classes (qualifying for the Hickstead young horse semi-final as a 6yr old), BYRDS A squad regional teams including High Profile camps, and more recently 3 successful seasons at Small Tour, accumulating with a top 10 placing in the Inter 1 silver at the 2024 NAF winter championships.

I believe Hugo would make the perfect schoolmaster for a serious dressage amateur looking to progress up through the levels. Although he is still fit and well with many years left to give, I feel he’d excel in a home looking for an Advanced Medium schoolmaster. I also think for the right young rider he would make a cracking junior horse, however bear in mind he is a unit of a 17hh horse, and although he is not strong- he is powerful! He is snaffle mouthed, and great to travel- he’s been to almost every major competition centre in the UK and is a pleasure to take away/ stay over at shows.

I like to do a variety of activities with Hugo, he often does pole work, will pop a little jump for fun and loves to hack out. He hacks out alone or in company, but can be wary of big farm machinery. I’ve taken him out to group rides including one around the Chatsworth Estate which he really enjoyed!

Hugo’s great with the farrier and to clip, and is up to date with his vaccinations and dental checks. I’m happy to disclose his (very small) medical history to interested parties, but presently he only requires a bit of help for some age & work related wear and tear to his SI’s, which I had medicated at the end of 2024. This is reflected in his price, as otherwise a horse of this calibre would be worth significantly more.

Finding the right home is the most important thing, and he is only offered for sale as I have too many and I’m finding it increasingly more difficult to find the time to ride him. He has an extensive wardrobe, Finesse bridle and custom made Albion Unity saddle which I had made for him only last year worth over £4000. He is available with or without his tack.

Tiamo has three quality and balanced gaits. Walk and canter are highlights and the trot is comfortable to sit.

Tiamo has been well started and is eager, trainable, safe, and a pleasure to work with. Currently training through the elementary movements. He is also a very kind and affectionate horse to handle.

Tiamo has recently shown at Prelim level and was perfect in the warm up rings, in the show ring, and around other horses and brought back scores over 70% with lovely comments from both judges.

Welford was started at the age of 5 years old and was ridden for about 2 year until covid and this is when we had him here as a stallion to breed from and he was amazing to cover the mare so easy and soft to the mares also it didn't change his behaviour around mares as you can lead him next to mare and he will still behave nicely. he's been back to riding last year in order to sell him as a ridden stallion.

He can be suitable for someone who loves dressage and black horses with a great movement and can handle a stallion. We believe that with the correct hands WELFORD can reach a very hay level in dressage and can be very successful breeding stallion.

He is very good with leading catching loading farrier and he can be stabled or out.

This young mare is bred in the purple for dressage but would also event.

She benefits from gold plated dressage bloodlines on the sires side - Helium / Millennium / Easy Game (sire of TSF Dalera - multiple medal winner). Her dam was a successful 3* eventer herself by a 4* and Olympic team stallion.

She did her first unaffiliated dressage competition and came away with a win and a 2nd both with well over 70% and she is now registered for BD and has notched up placings in her first outing. Her latest BD outing resulted in a 2nd and a 4th place with just a shade under 70% in both - well done considering the test was done in the pouring rain in a flooded arena. She is now qualified for Regional Finals at Prelim.

She loads well , travels like a saint and will stand in the lorry all day without fretting even when her mates are put in or taken out. Good on the road and to hack generally alone or in company. Easy to do in the stable - clip, shoe etc - or to handle from the ground

Dexter is 16.1, grey, gelding, rising 10 years old. He is a very kind easy going horse that enjoys his job.

He has evented up to intermediate level but more recently has been competing at BD dressage, proving to be very talented and successful. He has won numerous outings at elementary and medium level with scores of 70%+. Last year he qualified for the National championships where he won Elementary National Champion silver section with a score of 71.03%.

At home he is training at adv medium level, showing good changes. He has the ability and brain to continue up the levels.

He would suit an ambitious rider who wants to win and have fun. He could also turn his hoof back to jumping.

Zu is a super safe, low mileage, advanced medium schoolmaster. He is responsive but not sharp and can be ridden with or without spurs. He is easy in the lateral work and has a change both ways. Zu will be the perfect horse for someone to learn the higher level moves on due to his easy-going and forgiving temperament. Can be ridden in both a snaffle or a double bridle.

Veterinary wise, he has mild asthma in the summer which is easy to manage. Previously, he has had ulcers which have been treated and given the all clear. In 2023 he had an accident which resulted in an injury to his hock which he has fully recovered from and has been signed off by his vet.

Zu is good to hack both alone and in company and is experienced doing pole work. He is good to shoe, clip and to travel.
