Oh Mio Dio’ - known to us as ‘Mia’
A beautiful mare by ‘Indoctro’
16.1hh, 13yo with no lumps / bumps / nor blemishes
Open to any vetting / instructors etc
She’s as sweet as can be in the stable , really kind and quiet little mare who loves love and attention. Not at all the stereo typical chestnut mare. She was outstanding to clip , golden for the farrier , perfect to catch , load , travel , etc!
Mia really is super easy to own and a genuine pleasure to have on the yard, she’ll live in or out and is a dream
Mia is beautiful on the flat. Really flashy and straightforward. Snaffle mouthed and responsive yet leg on ride. Not at all sharp or spooky. Really attractive paces and the type to make the rider look pretty. A very commercial little horse who oozes class and quality. Established mare with auto changes installed
She is the definition of bold and straight to jump. Really rideable around a course and will always go for you. She’s keen and committed to the fence but uber rideable and correct. The type to get herself out of trouble and always be consistent. There’s loads of jump in the tank , there’s no fence too big for her , equally she’d be happy to jump around the 70cm. Mia loves to have a job and enjoys pleasing you. She’d be an ideal confidence giver or good allrounder / diesel horse in the ring
Mia loves to hack. She’s not at all bothered whether it’s alone or in company , not at all phased by any traffic etc. Again, really straightforward. As talented as she is she’s the sort of mare who’s just happy to worked whether that’s just happy hacking or competing. She’s hacked and schooled by my working pupils who are 13 and 15 and they adore her. We hack her on a 60 mile ans hour road as well as around our open XC fields and of course jumps absolutely everything she’s asked to and has never once been strong nor silly
Mia has been well hunted over in Ireland for many seasons as well as jumping up to 1m unaffiliated and jumped a handful of British Novice classes. At her age now she’s not going to go and jump 1m50’s but would be a great horse for a teen / all rounder home / amateur ride
Was purchased just before Covid hit by a lady who wanted her to go and have some fun and jump BS. As she got her home we went into lockdown so she decided to have a foal from her. She was such a great mother with beautiful offspring she then decided to keep her a broodmare. Due to cutting down on numbers this year was the reason she parted with Mia.
Mia is shod , clipped, and in work ready for a new home
Can be a touch mildly cold when you get on , doesn’t do anything at all can just feel tense and benefits from a two minute quiet walk off before you put her to work. There is absolutely no malice in her at all and is not something that requires any additional measures , she is a very straightforward mare. However , I have reflected this minor trait in her price
This mare does mean a lot to me and is my current yard favourite so please only enquire if you can offer her the home / life she deserves
