Welford started his riding journey at the age of 5 under the training of Shady Horsemanship, where he received an excellent foundation. He then went to his owner and was ridden by her groom approximately four times a week for two years, until the onset of the Covid pandemic. Since then, Welford has been living with us on our land. During the early Covid period, we didn’t do much with him, but in early 2024, we restarted all of his training foundations and he was simply outstanding throughout the process.

For the past six months at least, Welford has been ridden around four times a week. He truly is one of the best and easiest stallions to handle at all times. He can be led anywhere, even around other horses including mares, and remains perfectly well behaved. He is exceptionally good with everything you would expect from a well mannered horse, he is easy to catch, lead, pick out feet, groom, tack up, and change rugs. You can do anything in his stable, and he will never show any signs of aggression in fact he is safer and more reliable than many geldings or mares, never pinning his ears or attempting to bite.

He is excellent with the farrier, vet, and dentist, and is very easy to load, bathe, or wash his legs. Welford is an absolute pleasure to ride, with just the right amount of energy not too much and not too little. He is equally happy living out in the field or being stabled and has even lived in a field next to mares with only a three meter separation without any issues.

Welford is truly an incredibly easy stallion to handle and work with.

Georgio (stable name Guus) is a very kind, gentle soul who enjoys human company. He has a very polite manner.

His full history is known. Present British owners have owned him for 2 years and moved with him from the Netherlands to the UK in the summer of 2024.

Beautifully schooled Georgio enjoys his work. More push than pull type.

Current owners bought him for their teenage daughter to compete and she rode in the equivalent of BD Novice level. He previously competed in the Netherlands at Z1 level, equivalent to BD Advanced Medium. He has also previously competed at 80/90cm Showjumping and arena XC. He also enjoyed clinics including equitation (similar to Trec)

Sadly school commitments have meant that riding and competing are having to take a back seat and the heart breaking decision has been made to find this special horse a home where he will be enjoyed to his full potential.

In the UK Georgio is eligible to start at Prelim. Since moving he has been to unaffiliated dressage competitions and been placed either First or Second in each test- never scoring below 65%.

Georgie has also competed showjumping indoors and outdoors 70/80cm showing to be brave and settled. He would enjoy clinics and combine training.

He is a true schoolmaster who loads well in a box or a trailer. Once at a show he needs minimal warm up and just clicks into show mode.

Georgios only quirk is hacking. He is currently hacked around the livery yard farm land and he will walk, trot and canter alone or in company, but if he does get spooked he can spin and canter off. Because of this we do not feel he is suited to a home with varied hacking in open spaces. He has been priced to reflect this to allow for an understanding home where he will be loved and understood as he is now.

His current owners would love to stay in contact as a good home is their highest priority.
