Direct from the breeder, much loved, wonderful, legendary Phil is a 3yo bay gelding currently standing 15.3hh, to mature around 16hh. By Usher van Overis Z (Untouchable x Ahorn) out of a winning Acclamation x Dubai Destination mare. His proven performance breeding combined with his lovable, sweet, kind and gentle nature makes Phil the ideal amateur event or riding club prospect. He's not going to set the world alight but he is going to do his absolute best at everything he does and make someone very happy.

Phil has decent bone and barrel with good limbs and feet, he isn't a fragile type. I really cannot overstate his temperament - he was just born a good boy. He has the most wonderful quiet, calm, peaceful nature and has been a yard favourite for many since the day he was born. Not a hot or sharp thought in his head, Phil would very happily just be patted all day, ideally in your garden.

Phil has lived out most of his life in a mixed herd but has also been stabled and barned happily for periods of time when required. He isn't clingy and just generally gets on with everyone, human or horse.
Phil has not been faffed with he has been left to be a horse with regular farriery and worming, coming in for winter when it's gotten too wet. He saw poles twice in the summer, showing a lovely technique and willing attitude to the job. No known quirks or stable vices, he is the ideal project for someone looking to put their stamp on a genuinely untried lovely young horse and make a friend for life.

Dam Line - Imperio, a remarkable stallion with consistently good performance at the highest international levels. He has been successful and very active in Grand Prix.

Located in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside Leake Connemaras offer Foal and Youngstock Livery with all basic handling taken care of so that you can be stress free about your youngster.

Youngsters are placed in small same sex and age groups with 24 hour turnout in summer in large grass fields and paddocks with secure fencing. In winter youngsters live in group barns with access to good quality haylage and youngstock balancer. Research shows that small herd living with adequate grazing, space and shelter maximises social, emotional and physical well being.

In addition to the above youngsters get the basic handling they need to form the foundations for later training such as bathing, grooming, sessions on the horse walker and horsebox loading. Our aim is to produce well rounded young horses and ponies that will excel in life, whether that be as someone's next olympic hopeful or family friend
