Rising 2-year-old roan mare, currently standing at 14.2hh, looking for new home. Connemara X Irish Sports Horse by Tulira Daroq (14.2 grey class 1 Connemara stallion). Her dam (16.2hh, bay) is by Master Imp and has competed successfully at Intermediate eventing and Foxhunter.

She is homebred and I had planned to keep her for a SJ and Eventing career, but with a 2-year-old toddler and a baby on the way, I am finding it difficult to give her time.

She currently lives out during the day and is stabled at night. She is friendly, well handled and is up to date with vaccinations and the farrier.

She was shown in-hand last year at a local show and travelled well in a 3.5T horsebox with another horse.

HOYS quality! Perfectly conformed with absolutely no lumps or bumps.

Moves extremely well. She is very rhythmical and balanced for a just backed baby.

She has been perfectly and very sympathetically started. She has had her first go at some jumps and loved it.

Been to Escrick Park and popped a few logs, an open ditch and walked straight in the water.

She has been on her first show outing experience to have a go at a dressage test and tried her little heart out! She also did an in hand showing show last summer.

She enjoys going on a hack and is a lovely easy mare to deal with. An unspoilt youngster with serious X factor about her!

I purposefully haven’t done much with her, as I know most people don’t want a youngster that has done too much, and very rightly so!!

She has literally had a go at a handful of sj and xc jumps to ensure that she loves it and the talent and technique is there!

A very quality / high end little horse for someone to work with, that will do any type of job in the future.

She would make a fabulous WH / eventer or a beautiful allrounder for someone to simply enjoy!

Oki is a 7yoConnie X 16h1. He is a careful jumper with a good technique that doesn’t mind fillers or spooky fences.

He is really smart on the flat, has got a good mouth and a great balance which make him easy to ride on the dressage and to a fence.

He loves going hacking either on his own or with others. He has even been used has a leader for the babies on their first hack.

Oki has been out XC schooling, show jumping training and also has done his first event last year where he came 6th after a great double clear.

He will be a great for someone that wants to go and have fun at shows, clinics camps on a very smart horse. He is good to clip, tack up ,bath etc

We are told that he is a Connemara x Irish Draught and was imported from Ireland (no recorded breeding)

I’ve had him since September as an unbroken four-year-old, purchased for my daughter to do Pony Club/Eventing and progress with this year. In November, he was professionally broken and proved to be absolutely straightforward.

Since then, he has been hacking out well, both alone and in company. He has attended a couple of arena hires and is a very quiet ride with beautiful movement. He is also jumping small fences and is very willing. And has the movement and potential to be a competitive 153 show hunter.

Unfortunately, my daughter hasn’t bonded with him, and he needs more groundwork, time, and experience than we can provide.

She already has a pony in full work, and with her GCSEs looming, she can’t manage both.

Sadly, he must go, as he would be wasted standing in a field. He is the sort of horse that would thrive with regular work. We have decided to purchase something that has had a bit more milage, and ready to go.

Clean limbed and sound. Is never sharp, and is up to date with everything.

The safest and soundest eventing pony that dreams are made of. I have owned Turpin since the day he was born and he is the most mannerly, sweetest and pleasant pony to deal with on a day to day basis. He is the only foal out of 2* eventing pony Newgrove Lass and has shown every bit of promise to be as good as if not better than her! Turpin has never had a days lameness and is such a tough, sound pony, he only actually wears shoes for the studs! He is 100% to hack alone or in company, clip, shoe and any of the day to day bits, he really is just an innately lovely little man.

Dressage
Turpin is established at BE100 level and although this would be considered his weakest phase, he is still able to achieve good results. He needs a rider with good feel and mature understanding. He has the canter of a rocking horse and all his work is correct.

Showjumping
Turpin has a very consistent record up to 1 metre with 3 separate young riders, his records on SJI, Eventing Ireland and British Eventing speak for themselves. He has plenty of ability for 1.10 and is on track to step up for next season. His recent rounds at Oasby and Speetley have shown he is able to jump out of bottomless ground and also be one of the best performers of the day.

Cross Country
Turpin is a very mannerly cross country pony, jumping both phases in a simple snaffle. He will suit someone who is able to kick on and loves the rush. He is able to show a lesser experienced rider round 80 & 90 with no bother whilst they learn the ropes of the sport. He never becomes overwhelmed by technicalities and is already confidently schooling at BE Novice level. Once again, ground is no factor to Turpin and will jump as well on good ground as he does a bog.

Hunting
Turpin is the hunting pony of dreams. There is no country he cannot cross and no ground he can’t cover. He has hunted with Rockwood Harriers, Readyfield Bloodhounds, East Antrim Harriers, East Clare Harriers and North Tipperary Foxhounds. He has also completed the Ballycommon ride twice with 2 separate riders.

Extra Features
Turpin has been a vital member of the East Antrim pony club teams in 2023/2024 being in a winning PC90 eventing team and also a winning PC100 show jumping team.
Also, to add to Turpin’s versatility, Turpin is also broken to drive! He doesn’t even wear blinkers, he’s a very happy pony trotting down the lanes taking in the sights!

Benny has 3 equal paces, has been professionally schooled and is snaffle mouthed both on the flat and to jump. He is clean limbed with active straight movement.

Good to hack alone or in company and is very sensible in the heaviest of traffic, would be a fantastic allrounder for a confident teen or a competition horse as a dressage, cross country and show jumper.

I also believe Benny would make a fantastic intermediate WHP.

He has a very clean, confident and capable jumping ability and is very consistent although hasn’t been pushed competitively to jump.

Good to catch, shoe, clip and travel and turns out with mares, geldings and colts.

He is very respectful and kind on the ground he is handled by a 15 year old, he’s had a great personality on the yard and is a happy character .

Open to any vetting, Benny has serious potential in the right home.
