Ace is a green book, Irish Connemara, by Mountain Cascade. 12yrs 15.2hh
Ace is a talented, fun, and loving little horse who has been a wonderful companion for the past 7 years. He has been involved in a variety of disciplines, including hacking, classical dressage schooling, natural horsemanship groundwork, and liberty. Ace has jumped up to 85cm but lacks confidence over this height. He has schooled cross-country and showjumped. He loves long hacks and trips to the gallops. He has excellent lateral work and would excel in pure Dressage, currently working at Elementary level.
Ace is a pleasure to ride, he is responsive, light and easy with the aids. Recent dressage (for working equitation) he has 70% with consistent 7s and 8s. He is an more advance schoolmaster type and would suit anyone looking to develop their knowledge of dressage and have fun with.
About 6 months ago, Ace began training in Working Equitation, and he has taken to it incredibly well. I believe this could be the perfect sport for him, and I had planned to compete in Working Equitation in 2025. However, due to personal changes (pregnancy), my plans have shifted, and it would be a shame for him not to be doing the things he loves.
Ace's Ideal Partner:
Ace would be a fantastic partner for someone who wants to have fun and develop in Dressage or Working Equitation, progress through the levels in dressage (Connemara League, etc.),. He would suit a small adult, competent teen, or a knowledgeable mother/daughter share.
He is a true gem and will make an excellent partner for the right person. He is a loving and friendly horse who gets on well with other horses and is very sweet and easy to do. If you looking for a horse with character, potential, and experience, Ace could be the one!
Ace has one small draw back that does not effect his ability to a ridden horse or compete in anyway. He has a mild string halt in his Right-Hind and will not pass a vet due to this, hence the reduced price. He is fit and healthy in all other ways and vets have advised that this would not effect his ability to do the type of work as mentioned above.
