Pure bred Connemara mare 10 years old full up and rides bigger but with the benefit of a 138 AHC

This pony has done literally everything for my daughter, bringing her from local pony club level to competing and winning at regional and national levels across a wide range of disciplines, including:

• Showing – winning at County and winning and placing at National level including placing in the top 8 at The Royal International Open 143 Show Hunter Pony 2023 (highest placed amateur produced), qualifying for 148 Performance Pony at The London International and Pretty Polly Mixed Height Show Hunter Pony at The Royal International.
• Show Jumping – regularly competing and clear at 80 and 90cm classes in both Pony Club and Unaffiliated classes. Won 100cm PC SJ class at Bury Farm in last two weeks.
• Eventing – placing top 3 and double clear at PC grassroots ODEs in 2023 and placing in top 6 at Eastern Regional Championships.
• Working Hunter – clear and placing in top 5 at BSPS Summer Championship Novice Plaited 143 2023, top Junior 100cm Training Stakes at BSPS Winter Championships 2024, 2nd at RI Open Plaited Working Hunter qualifiers 2024 and winning Novice M&M 143cm class at NPS Summer Championships 2024.

We have also taken this pony on hound exercise and hunting in a snaffle and taken her pony racing at Lingfield Park. She placed at the NPS Arena Eventing 90cm qualifier at the Summer Championships qualifying for the national final of this event. Her past owners did a lot of dressage with her and qualified for Pony Club Nationals but my daughter isn’t that interested in pure dressage. She has been to plenty of Pony Club events and camp. She is easy to ride in an outline, has brakes and only needs the briefest warm ups at events. She is only for sale because my daughter’s priorities have changed and she has her hands full.

Beyond these results she is a completely safe pony; the most novice rider can be out on her but she can change up the gears for more experienced and forward riders. She hacks out in company or alone, goes first or last and is dependable in traffic and open fields. She is easy to clip, shoe, plait and wash and good for the dentist and vet. She is never sick or sorry. She is good in the stable and is a dream at stay away shows. She loads easily and travels quietly, standing on the lorry all day and other horses can be taken away without a problem. Almost whole life history known.

The downsides of the pony are minor: she’s not particularly cuddly and, although she can be affectionate, it’s on her terms. We turn her out a lot and I think she’s better in a quiet environment. We have a lot of stallions on the yard and have put her on regumate during our season which I think has helped chill her out and would recommend continuing. She also has a typical “fleshy” Connemara lip so we change her bit quite regularly and only use a fixed or sleeved bit.

Maisie is a real poppet in every way. She has tons of experience teaching children the ropes of pony club, competitions and equine management. She is regularly handled by children and never steps a hoof out of line. She is calm and sensible and loves people, fuss and attention. Happily lives in or out with mares and geldings, great with dogs and a pleasure to have on the yard.

To ride, Maisie is pleasantly forward going. She works off the leg in an outline and has 3 eye catching paces. She loves to jump and has competed up to 90cm with many victories. She is forward to a fence although not strong or silly. She is always ridden in a snaffle, even when cantering through open spaces with a little jockey onboard. When on the lead rein Maisie is happy to plod along at her leaders desired pace, she is however not a kick along pony, she enjoys her job and is keen to please.

We haven’t hacked her alone as her jockeys have been too young. We have led her out hacking alone and she has been excellent. Happily walks away from the other horses and isn’t fussed by busy roads or spooky objects. She is a star out hacking with others, goes first or last, has good breaks and throughly enjoys herself.

This little sweetie really loves her job and would suit a home wishing to utilise her knowledge.

She has good breeding and although she’s in her winter woolies at the moment as she’s currently without a jockey, when she’s clipped and clean she’s a real head turner.

No vices. 99% to shoe, box, catch, clip. Open to any inspection.

He is easy in all handling. Very safe and reliable. Dan is one of the friendliest little fellows you will meet and loves to cuddle. He really enjoys to be pampered and will sniff out any treats that are available.

Brilliant to hack out and very safe in traffic. Healthy and has no issues.

Cookie is only for sale as she has been massively outgrown and is becoming an overly spoilt pet. My daughter had Cookie when she was 8. She is now 13 and a very tall 13 year old!

Cookie is up to date with dentist, vaccinations and wormer.

She travels exceptionally well on her own in both a trailer and a lorry. She is fantastic with the farrier, dentist and loves to be clipped.

Cookie taught my daughter how to really ride. She is a gutsy little pony who loves to jump- anything! She has no fear. She also loves a cross country course. She has won numerous show jumping leagues and comps with previous owners and has taken my daughter to Pony Club Championships where they came 9th (rider error).

Cookie also enjoys games and has competed in the main ring at The Royal Welsh and Pony Club Championships over the years. She has the speed and the brakes!

She loves an away stay at a show and isn’t fazed by the loud noises, music or atmosphere.

We have been active members of the local Pony Club for many years, attending rallies, Summer Camps and taster activities such as polo crosse. Cookie has also been awarded her Road Safety badge!

Cookie’s favourite ride is the Badminton Fun Ride! She enjoys a fast ride and isn’t phased by other horses coming up alongside her- she would make a fantastic racing pony!

With her previous owners, Cookie has done dressage but my daughter does not enjoy this. However, she schools and lunges nicely.

Cookie has had a quiet year this year as my daughter has been signed to play football at elite level and does not have the time. She has enjoyed hunting, beach rides, pub rides, forest rides and hacking with her friends or on her own. Cookie is an incredibly safe pony but she is not a novice ride- she is fast and sharp. She is great in the heaviest of traffic and will go first or last. She loves playing in our local river or galloping flat out at the beach with or without company.

Cookie is currently turned out on her own and much rathers a very small herd or to be on her own. She prefers human company than horse company!

She loves being pampered by her human and will stand for hours to be groomed and bathed. She has put up with a lot of glitter paint and pink hair chalk over the years!

This wee little Coblet is looking for her next little jockey. Hope a super stamp of a pony, safe and sensible and never spooky but not your typical lazy cob, she’s wants a job and wants to please.

She’s mega in the school, balanced paces, good in the hand and off the leg and really easy to get on the bit.

She is bombproof to hack, been out and about on busy roads with her elderly previous owner. Hope has a mega little jump on her, I have jumped her round full show jumping courses with fillers and rustic fences. She’s totally unphased and really does love to jump. I’m sure she would love a days hunting too.

She is so much fun!!

Hope would be a great pony club pony and she likes to go fast so I’m sure mounted games would be right up her street.

Hope would also suit a small adult looking for some fun, her previous owner was an elderly lady and hope really did look after her, she regularly took her to dressage, jumping clinics and some unaffiliated dressage. She is never dangerous or naughty but if you kick she goes so unsuitable for first ridden or nervous children that don’t like leaving walk. You can ride this pony with no reins and ride her backwards if you wish, round the world too… what more could you wish for.

Wanted: mannerly and experienced competitive 13.2 - 14h ish pony

We are looking for an alrounder: PC /dressage, showing / jumping / hacking.

My 11 year old Daugther is rapidly outgrowing her finely built 13h pony who has been an absolute dream. We are looking for the similar type- just bigger. Rider currently jumping 60cm.

My daughter loves her dressage - she is an active PC member but loves her lessons most and building a partnership. She qualified for PC dressage regionals this year and was excited about doing a sleepover with her pony as well as the competition itself.

She hasn’t got the will for speed / BS - She would prefer a steady / accurate clear round. Having said this she does jump regularly and enjoys XC / beach rides / sponsored rides.

She is a disciplined rider and enjoys caring for her pony eg enjoys fussing over them and is often found in a stable sitting / cuddling her pony.

Pony needs to be able to cope with dropping back a bit and teaching the rider the ropes.

A genuine and forgiving pony would be ideal. Nothing sharp or very strong.

Mannerly on the ground so she can continue to handle her pony herself - bath / load etc

Pony to have experience at all the things we want to do with him / her.

Must be safe in open spaces - we have endless off road open hacking at home.

Pony would live a wholesome life on our farm in Kent. We have wonderful hacking and enjoy spending hours riding out together.

We are an Amateur but experienced home. Our ponies want for nothing - we are happy to provide references as a home from PC, DC, various instructors, physio, dentist, farrier etc

We are at the very start of our search - and are in no rush. So if you are not ready to part with your pony just yet we can be flexible on timing for the right one as we want to keep current pony for winter dressage.
