  • A kind, safe, competition pony
  • NSEA / PC Grassroots / Cotswold Cup / BE80u18
  • Easy to do in everyway

Due to his rider giving up, Minskip Murphy is looking for a new home where he can continue enjoying competing and can show a new young rider the ropes - cross country, arena eventing, show jumping, dressage.

14.1, grey, Irish-bred, gelding, 19 years old, but very athletic and doesn’t look his age. Murphy really enjoys his job and loves going out and about to events and shows, attending lessons and rallies or simply hacking.

He has competed to BE100 and successfully completed the Pony Club Championships PC100 eventing several times with his previous rider, most recently in 2023. However, he has stepped down to 70 & 80 very easily for us in the last 18 months, adapting to a relatively inexperienced (but gutsy) rider and we believe this level will suit him best going forward.

In 2024 he was double clear and 4th in the Horse Events 70 event at Swalcliffe Park and double clear and 6th at the Area 12 PC70 Area eventing at Elmwood. He completed the challenging cross-country courses at the Eastern Regional Pony Club Championships at Aston Le Walls and at the Horse Events Championships at Dauntsey. He was clear round the 80 at the Bloxham arena eventing at Aston Le Walls and the 80 NSEA Rectory Farm competition in Spring 2024. At the Area 12 Pony Club arena eventing qualifier in Autumn 2024, he was clear in the 70 and had one down in the 80. He jumps corners, skinnies, steps, ditches and goes into water.

He is a careful showjumper and not fazed by any fillers. He also turns very well and is fast against the clock. He qualified as an individual in the 75 for the NSEA plate championships at Addington last autumn and he was 3rd in the 85 at the NSEA show at Bury Farm in December 2024. He was 2nd in the 75 at the NSEA County show jumping qualifiers in January 2025, only missing out on a place in the 85 because of an error of course.

While dressage is not his favourite phase, he knows what he is doing in a dressage arena and will complete an obedient test. He lunges very well, and his current rider has enjoyed multiple lessons with no stirrups / no reins on the lunge. He doesn’t need riding every day and is the same if you pull him out of the field after two weeks off, or have him in regular work.

On the ground he is very polite, and he is good to clip, shoe, have his teeth done, worm, vaccinate etc. He has no vices and doesn’t need any special management other than being shod all round. He is friendly and confident with other horses and goes out with a mare or gelding or on his own. He travels in a lorry or a trailer and will stand when another goes with him, or he is fine if you take him on his own. He is good to hack, bomb proof in traffic and in open spaces. He is a forward, enthusiastic ride but never misbehaves. He loves attention and does everything with his ears pricked.

As a true competition pony, he needs an established rider, so wouldn’t be suitable for a complete novice, but certainly has a lot to teach a competent young rider wanting to go out and event / cross country / jump at Pony Club, Cotswold Cup, Horse Events, NSEA.

We want only the best of homes for him. He has a special place in our hearts even after a relatively short period of ownership, as he is a super pony and deserves to be treasured and keep on doing what he loves. We are in regular contact with his previous owner and will want to stay in touch.

Sale includes a full wardrobe of rugs and boots. Quality tack available as a separate negotiation.

Fudge 20 year old 128 Mare Welsh Section B

FARCHYNYNS SIENNA 128

The advert we never thought we would be writing so soon but my daughter has just massively outgrown her.

This pony needs no introduction, undoubtedly one of, if not the best, U10s pony on the circuit. She has taught so many top kids over the years and took them to the top. She will not only bring your child home safely, she will win the class aswell. She took my daughter from jumping Xpoles in a riding school to jumping at BS pony premiers up and down the country within 4 months. She will jump double clear stepping stones and spring boards all day long. She always helps the kids out and will turn on a sixpence

When we bought her she stepped right down for the kids and would happily trot round a course of cross poles and would never get strong or silly. My 3 year old son rides her round on lead rein and she absolutely adores the little ones.

Fudge is perfect to load, travel, clip and bath, hack alone or in company. The kids go off hacking for hours on their own and gallop and jump through the fields and she would never put a foot wrong. My children do everything with her on their own and I trust her 100%. She has got such a personality, she never fails to make us laugh. Shes forever in your pockets for polos, or giving the kids kisses.

Fudge completely sound and open to vet, she has been looked after like an egg in a cake and never over jumped. Fudge up to date with everything. Don’t let her age put you off, she looks and acts like a 10 year old jumping pony. She is as fit as fire are rareing to go. Shes been out jumping at all of the winter prems this past season.

This pony has far too many accolades to list but just since we have had her has:

Qualified SS &SB final 23 & 24 & 25
Bronze league final 23 & 24 & 25
Was 5th in the SB final at southview
Won gold as part of the U10 mini teams at EHPI 23
Qualified GYS 24
Tiny Tots Champion for the BSJA area 12a 23
Winner of the Equine Lockers Springboard league 23
Winner Equine Lockers Springboard at Area 12a BSJA championship show
2024 Bronze League 128 Champion in Area 12a

In her youth has qualified both hickstead and HOYS but we decided to keep her at a lower level where she is happiest now.

My daughter is heartbroken to sell her pony of a lifetime. We owe this very special girl nothing, she has set my daughter up and filled her with confidence. We would have kept her forever but she too good to be wasted and loves her job too much. She’s ready to show another jockey the ropes and we will all be so sad to see her go. I have 100s of videos via WhatsApp.

Please contact via wattsapp or text and I can call you back as do not always have access to my phone to answer calls at work

Please only serious enquires, she is a competition pony and wont be begged.

We have owned Alfie since 2019

You can see his record on BSJA website he has 340.00 Winnings and 200 Points.

He is laid back but forward going. He hacks out alone or in company, he has shoes, is fully clipped once a year in December, Lives in, but out a lot in summer, great with everyone, never gets in trouble.

He has a personality and likes the ladies, no vices, but likes to be the last one in from the field.

We have done a little unaffiliated and affiliated SJ, he has won and been placed in many classes down at Felbridge and Pyecombe from 70cm to 90cm, he rarely lets us down,

Please see photos and videos attached, many stories we could tell you about, would prefer a local sale with the possibility of coming to see him when he has settled.

Perfect mother daughter share or a small adult that wants to give him a job

A responsive but snaffle mouthed ride!
If you know what buttons to press you will get some exceptional work out of him for sure.

  • Good to hack

Apple has been with us for nearly 3 years but is hopelessly outgrown so on the lookout for her next home. With us she has mostly been used to teach my daughter to ride, for the occasional pony club rally, local arena hires and shows and hacking out. She will hack out alone, and prefers to follow if in a group.

She is easy on the ground, leads well and will stand to be groomed for as long as you want if there is a haynet nearby! She has always been cared for by my daughter, and she is easy to do everything for. She is good for the farrier (front shoes) and is up to date with vaccines and teeth. Never sick or sorry.

She currently lives out at night with another mare, but has been on her own and in larger herds too. She doesn't mind individual turnout and is happy to come in. She comes straight to you in the field.

She would suit a whole range of riders, from a small novice to a competent teen or an older rider. She has been used on lead rein. She will step up or down dependent on the rider.

Priced to sell due to needing the stable for new larger pony for my growing teen.

Comes with bridle and some rugs, professionally fitted saddle negotiable separately.

Auther has been the most incredible pony for my daughter over the last couple of years but he is now hopelessly outgrown and deserves to find another family to treat him like the King that he is and to make another young jockey's dreams come true.

He has been the MOST INCREDIBLE confidence giver any parent could wish for and has taken my daughter (now aged 14) from 60cms to soaring around challenging Pony Club Championship courses at 90cms+ in the two and a half years we have had him - he has never failed to put a smile on our faces. He is a cracking Pony Club & NSEA pony and a stalwart member of teams for showjumping, eventing and tetrathlon. He has done everything from camps, rallies, NSEA, stay-away shows and is always a pleasure to have with you. He tries his heart out for you, every time.

Competition highlights include:

  • NSEA SJ & Arena Eventing Champs 2022
  • Pony Club Grassroots Showjumping Champs 2022
  • Pony Club National Tetrathlon Champs (90cm) 2023

  • Pony Club Grassroots Eventing champs (80cm) 2024
  • Pony Club National Tetrathlon Champs (90cm) 2024

A pleasure to hack and very easy to handle at home and at shows - by children, parents and grandparents. Absolutely no vices, hang ups or bad habits - excellent for the farrier, dentist, to load, clip etc.

We are looking for him to go to a lovely private, Pony Club home where he can continue to do what he loves and be someone else’s best friend.

We cannot speak highly enough of Auther, he has truly been my daughter's pony of a lifetime and is very much loved, we are in no rush to sell him and potential jockeys and homes will be vetted. We are still in touch with his previous owners - he is welcomed by an adoring fan club at many of the competitions he goes to. References will be required - we owe it to Auther to find him the most wonderful home - and in return he will give his next jockey memories to last a lifetime.

Thousands of photos and videos available upon request (via whatsapp please).

Williams Lad - One of the best JC ponies in the country

This is the hardest thing I have ever had to write as Will has been the the most incredible pony I have ever had the pleasure of owning- sadly due to my daughters time on ponies coming to an end we are reluctantly offering Will for sale. He is THE most loving, loyal, brave, honest pony and he will only go to a 10* home and if we don’t find that he won’t go. As we do love him so much we would like to be guanranteed first refusal if he does get sold.

Will is the dream pony- absolutely perfect to clip, shoe, catch. He needs a bit of persuasion to get on the lorry and is quite a nervous traveller, nothing nasty just tucks his head into the corner. Perfect to hack alone or in company and truly a dream to do in all ways, not hot headed at all, not strong or silly and completely trustworthy. He is the most loyal and loving pony meaning he looks after anyone who is around him and who rides him, he is also INCREDIBLY intelligent and brave and can fix any sticky situation you get him into unlike any pony I have ever seen. Has the proven ability to jump and win at any height. Will came to our very novice family in early December 2023 for my daughter who hadn’t ridden for two years, never competeted BS or even jumped above 80cm before her final year on ponies and since took her from jumping 80 cm unaff in December to 1.15 Hickstead Quals at Pony Prems in early February, he has made all of her dreams come true jumping multiple clears in HOYS qualifiers, winning POYS GP, jumping and winning 1.15&1.20, qualifying for multiple classes at Bluechip & British Showjumping National Championships. He has amazing flat work flying changes ect and would excel in other disciplines aswell.

2023:

Will jumped triple clear at Bishop Burton Summer Pony Prem Newcomer SRS to take 3rd and qualify for HOYS where he jumped for a super unlucky pole round a testing course with only 5 clears taking 8th place out of 30+. On his first attempt he also jumped triple clear in the Discovery SRS to take 3rd and qualify for the National Championships. At WHPI he jumped a quick Double Clear in the Debut Teams Qual to earn his place on the England Team where he jumped another perfect clear to help England win GOLD. At the National Championships Will jumped another Double clear to take 2nd in an extremely competitive National Discovery Final.

2024:

At POYS Will jumped a perfect DC in the 1.10 Grand Prix to win being the top Novice Pony in the class. At my daughters first ever BS show he qualified for the Sapphire Final at Bluechip Championships, then shortly after he jumped two 1.10 double clears in the same day winning both classes and qualifying for not only the Coral Final at Bluechip Championships but also the winter JC Hickstead quals.
At Bluechip he jumped a perfect clear in the Sapphire Final but didn’t jump the Coral Final as my daughter was very poorly. At Southview Summer Pony Prem he jumped a lovely clear in the HOYS Qual just having an unlucky pole in the second round due to complete rider inexperience. He jumped our first 1.20 in April to jump a perfect clear and take the win in a competitive class after jumping clear and 2nd in the 1.15 beforehand , he then continued his perfect streak and in the following week jumped 2x DC in a full up 1.10 & 1.15 to take the win in both classes. He dominated the silver league 2024 standing at the top until his break in September.

His recent results in the last 2 years:

-8th HOYS newcomer final 2023
-Qualified England Debut Teams 2023
-England Team Gold WHPI 2023
-2nd Discovery Final Nationals 2023
-Winner 1.10 GP POYS 2024

Minor blip in record towards the end of summer due to undetected ulcers that have been treated and all healed now. Happy to discuss this further but genuine reason for his tiny blip.
Never bucks, rears, bolts, bites- the kindest most genuine pony that I genuinely believe would die for the people around him, puts his rider before himself and tries his whole heart out. The most incredibly special pony one that only comes around once in a lifetime. I truly cannot speak highly enough of him, he leaves everyone smiling inside and outside of the ring no matter what- he is clear round machine who wants to win just as much as his rider if not more. As parent it is so comforting and reassuring to know my child is being looked after no matter what in every situation. The things Will has been able to achieve with my very novice daughter are miraculous, he is the most special pony I have ever come across. He is so adjustable, changing himself to fit his rider and is an automatic pony that backs himself up on a short stride and lengthens himself on a long one. He is extremely honest and is more than happy to chip in to save his rider and is unfazed by mistakes- he doesn’t hold a grudge, you could get him wrong over and over again but he still won't stop, he knows his job and does it exceptionally well. Substantial price required for this one of a kind pony. Mid 5 figures. Dozens of videos available on request, please no timewasters or joy riders as this is a heartbreaking sale as it is. Tack is included. Please call or text 07535547702

Flashy 2011 Coloured gelding standing at 14.2hh, this lovely lad has so much experience to offer to anyone learning the ropes or someone just looking for a ‘get on and go’ ride.

Murphy has been there, done it and won it! He has plenty of showjumping, dressage and cross country under his belt, loads of scope and a completely confidence giving ride in every way. He offers a safe, comfortable and easy ride, always looking after his rider.

He is good enough to do an RDA/ riding school job, go pony club / hunting, compete and do well, or be a grannys happy hacker, one of the most versatile cobs we have had in the yard, he is as bold as they come, not looky or spooky, doesn’t really care about anything as is super easy going and chilled.

Superb 14.2 All Rounder Connemara

  • Superb temperament, is practically on talking terms to us!
  • Safe and honest, suitable for either novice or experienced riders.
  • Loves his work and will instil confidence in his rider

Teddy is an 8 year old pure bred Connemara full 148cm (not over) pony. Very kind and easy. My daughter started on him when he was a 4 year old and has over the years pony clubbed, competed in working hunters, show jumped to 90cm in 2023 and since being over 16 in 2024 has concentrated on hunting, cross country fun rides and generally having fun hacking and going to the beach.

Teddy will not be a grade A show jumper but will take any child of any level of experience around 90 to 100cm jumps safely and competently. He is a superb hunter, reliable and honest in every way.

Teddy would also suit a small adult looking to downsize or looking for a hassle free mount. He will be the same pony if ridden daily or monthly. He is easy to catch, load, box, clip and shoe. This is a reluctant sale as he is part of the family but his time has come to move on. Very rare type so 5 Star Home essential.

Belle - The most loving family type pony, a good all rounder or equally the perfect mother/daughter share.

A stunning coloured, full up 13.2 Welsh Cob X.

Belle has been with me 4 years, being a riding school favourite. She will wait patiently for the rider to mount, never strong or silly and snaffle mouthed at all times.

She participates in local shows and hacks out through woods, busy roads and in open spaces. Belle will easily pop round a course of 60-90cm courses with fillers and had been placed at local shows.

Belle is up to date with her vaccinations, worming, chiropractor, dentist, saddle fitting and farrier (barefoot). Belle absolutely loves attention, the sought that follows you in the field for a fuss or a bum scratch! She prefers the human company over anything else.

When I had Belle, we didn't realise she was in foal which came at a big shock! Belle produced a beautiful filly back in April 2022 and recovered really well. Since having a foal she has been an asset to the riding school and all the children love her!

She is never nasty, bites or kicks

Belle is an ideal 2nd pony for a teenager wanting to do schooling and low level competing or a mature person looking for something reliable and safe!

This has been a heartbreaking sale as the riding school comes to a close the end of April. Belle could make a confident teenager very happy with what she can offer. Belle will be available the end of April but accepting viewings now.

Lots of videos and photos of Belle on request, along with rugs & tack at an additional price.
