Sired by Blu Hors Viconte who was standing at stud in the UK with Elite Stallions for the 2023 season only and has recently been sold to the USA to continue his ridden career under professional Grand Prix rider Elizabeth Bortuzzo. The duo are already achieving scores over 70% consistently, qualifying and being placed in the top three in many young horse classes and is showing talent to make a top Grand Prix horse. Viconte passed his German Hengstleistungsprüfung in 2020 with 8.44 points overall, with a 9.5 rideability score.
Blu Hors Viconte has produced top priced foals as a young stallion which are in high demand overseas, with very few available in the UK. Veuve Cliquot, by Blu Hors Viconte was the highest priced foal at the Westfalian Online Foal Auction 2021 and sold for 46,500 euro.
Venust’ dam, Hillgrove Wana Bella, is by Woodlander Wesuvio who was the BWBS stallion champion 2006 with lines including Weltmeyer/World Cup 1and Sao Paula. She is out of Woodlander Dolce Vita who has produced some highly priced offspring throughout her breeding career and was British Broodmare Champion by the world champion Dimaggio.
Venust has the most delightfully sweet, kind and gentle temperament with an abundance of presence. She has taken everything in her stride that has been asked of her. She is confident and well-handled but unspoilt.
She is a modern type with a fantastic shoulder and hock, with three uphill, effortless and rhythmic paces. Her conformation is straight and correct and has good even hooves.
She has a well-defined pretty head leading on to a well-set neck into the wither, a good depth of body and powerful hindquarters. Venust has been bred with dressage in mind, however she would equally make a fantastic all-rounder.
Venust has inherited all of the qualities you would expect from her parentage. She will not only have the athleticism, trainability and presence to become a beautiful and captivating ridden horse but will also be an asset to a breeding programme in the future. She is anticipated to make 17h at mature height.
She is regularly trimmed and wormed up to date.
AES registered.
She is open to any vetting and viewing is very welcomed.
Venust was born on 12th May and will be weaned at the end of October/beginning of November.
