Potential Talented Eventer/ Allrounder

  • One in a million horse
  • A super talented eventer with beautiful paces on a cheaper budget

For anyone wanting horse that has the potential to be a super talented eventer with beautiful paces on a cheaper budget.

Martini has been with us for just over a year and has been turned out in the field since November. With the idea that I would be bringing him back into work this spring. However due to work commitments I don’t have time to restart him. He is currently unshod but up to date with Vacs and teeth due in July.

He is a one in a million horse that will give someone 110% to whoever is willing to take things slow and gain his confidence. He is ideally a one person horse as he is a sensitive sole, based on this he is not suitable for a novice. He has never bucked, reared etc.

He enjoys his jumping and took quickly to it when he was started the beginning half of 2024. He has been to jump clinics and a sponsored ride where we went round as a large group. He wasn’t fussed and didn’t do anything silly! Jumping logs, hedges etc.

He has also been cross country schooling at oxstalls where he jumped really well and did ditches, steps and water with no fuss. We also did our first comp doing pairs at rein and shine. He was straight and confident and really enjoyed himself.

Together we have done a lot of hacking including solo hacking where we have met tractors, Lorry’s, quad bikes with no fuss. I have also done gates on him and isn’t fussed by cows. I can lead off of him or lead him off another easily. He has always been a really good hack. He has only been in the school a handful of times.

He loves a fuss and will stand all day to be groomed, bathed or clipped. He LOVES attention and is looking for a new person that loves to pamper him!

Perfect for farrier and was shod all round and easy to clip.

He has a blemish on his quarters which has been checked by the vet and given the ok. Advised it may disappear over time. It’s never caused us any issues.

Up to date with vacs, teeth due July.

No tack or rugs included and it isn’t available to be tried as he needs restarting after his holiday.

  • Been produced slowly and correctly
  • Jumped boldly first ever time XC
  • Hacks alone and in company

For sale on behalf of client - Maya
Maya is a 15.1 6yo bay mare, chunky Irish Sports type but no recorded breeding. She is looking for a new person to continue her education - either as a Riding Club horse, low level BE/BS/BD or as a hack.

Maya has been produced slowly and correctly and is low mileage for her age. She was lightly backed before coming to me to finish breaking and do some schooling as a 5yo. She is progressing well but is still green and needs more education. She is not the ‘finished product’ and ideally needs someone experienced with young horses to see her go far.

Maya has three elastic paces and schools sweetly in walk trot and canter. She has popped some showjumps and seen a few fillers. She has also jumped some XC fences and was very bold to logs, barrels, tyres and steps up and down as well as going through water (in a flooded arena as our XC doesn’t have a water). Maya hacks alone and in company and has seen traffic and hacked down a quiet lane with a few cars. Canters in an open space and pulls up easily. She can have the odd spook at a bird flying out but is generally a bold character. She enjoys hacking and jumping the most.

Maya is barefoot and up to date with trimming, saddler, physio, worming, vaccinations and the nutritionist. She is passported, good to catch, good to load (can take a few minutes if a new box) and travel. Open to viewings, vettings and a trial period if local.
Asking £6500 Ono to include her fitted Arena GP saddle, bridle and a few rugs. Individual turnout a requirement for her to go on trial.

If I don’t answer a call, please pop me a text/ WhatsApp and I will get back to you.

Delighted to showcase this super cob with so much potential!!
15.3hh 5 year old
Willy is an exceptional stamp of a heavy cob with fantastic foundations laid for exciting future ahead of him !
He has hunted, xc schooled , fun rides , boxed away to arena hires and woods for fun hacking been shown and placed at county level with fantastic comments from judges referencing great potential to be successful as a maxi cob !

Confirmation is correct he has no lumps bumps , no splints or scars, shod in front and trimmed behind (excellent to shoe )
Never had a sick day or lame day , up to date with his vaccinations, regularly had physio, saddle fittings ect and has a fitted Kent and masters saddle for sale at separate negotiations!

To ride Willy is a super responsive and forward enjoyable ride , with no ridden vices, he has never reared, spun , napped or bucked. Willy is a sensitive forward turbo cob so no novices please! He is brave hacking solo and in company, and sensible in open fields where he is regularly ridden next to the M4 motorway. He loves jumping and has a great brain.
Willy currently lives out 24/7, he wintered in without turning into a dragon ! He’s an excellent doer and lives off fresh air . Fantastic to clip, trim, brush ect
William is looking for a confident rider to have lots of fun on him and produces him up the levels in the showing world or eventing and showjumping ! For dressage he has a beautiful natural carriage, and shows promise in his movement to be a cob that can and will excel in what ever discipline he goes in !!

On the ground William is perfect to deal with , great to catch , super to load and travel , great at shows and new venues , had his teeth done and wormed recently and correctly .
He hacks alone in the heaviest of traffic and in company Currently in a happy mouth snaffle, he is ridden currently by a range of riders from experienced and confident to not experienced and also a lady who is extremely nervous! He is a total legend in every sense but as a young horse needs a confident quiet rider to further his education. All homes will be vetted including riding abilities! This horse is too talented and kind to go to just any one !
He is priced accordingly to his talents and stamp and excellent temperament! He’s is a delight to have on the yard and a firm favourite here. He was imported from Ireland as a 4 year old and been riding away with us for 8 months !
Plenty of videos available on request.

  • Would suit a nice hacking/riding club/low level all rounder type home

Bee is a kind natured homebred mare, with full history known.

She’s a straight, eye catching mover, schooling nicely and will do a very smart test as she continues to be produced.

Popping a little fence and hacking out alone and in company, through open fields and around country lanes. Bee is getting used to country traffic but won’t have seen fast, heavy traffic yet.

She’s snaffle mouthed and no stronger out in the open than she is schooling in the arena.

Good to shoe, load, catch, up to date with vaccs.

Bee is low mileage due to owners starting a family and also having a sarcoid removed from the underside of her chest last year. This is now healed and has just left some scar tissue. Happy to discuss further over the phone if required.

Bee has been back in work since January, has taken to her work really well and is progressing all the time.

Bee is still green and ready to go and explore the world to further increase her confidence. Would suit a nice hacking/ riding club/ low level all rounder type home that is happy to continue her education.

Sadly for sale at great value due to baby resulting in lack of time.

Sensible offers considered

Doug is a full up 16.3h 17 years young kwpn gelding.

For sale on behalf of his owner

Doug (Douglas) is one in a million who has so much class, quality and experience to offer. He is a very well-bred kwpn by (Vegas), out of (Tallenger) (Furore x Hinault) with 5 generations of pedigree recorded. He is the perfect stamp of a horse, combining class and quality but still having a leg in each corner and a nice neck in front of you. He is a very desirable type who would suit a wide audience of riders from teenagers coming off ponies to adults and even the older rider would feel very safe on him. He has good conformation, clean limbs, is blemish free and straight movement. He is the full package to excel across all riding disciplines which makes him the perfect alrounder/ school master. He is a very solid confidence giver without being a plod. He also has experience in every discipline and really knows his job and loves to work so is a proven and will show his new rider the ropes. He has the most amazing temperament and attitude making him a yard favourite.

Doug schools nicely on the flat, he has a lovely relaxed way of going with super movement and elasticity. He has three very good paces; his walk is relaxed with a good over track and good swing through the shoulder and scores at least an 8 in dressage. His trot is athletic and smart with lots of natural cadence and his canter is uphill and very adjustable. He naturally has a high head carriage which makes slightly more novice riders feel safe as they have something in front of them but he works into a lovely outline if you ask him to. He is ridden in a snaffle for every discipline with a lovely mouth. He is a nice easy ride who is nicely forward going being a medium speed and responsive to the riders aids but not at all sharp. He is a very safe and sane ride who does give his rider confidence. He would be ideal for a competent novice upwards. He has been ridden by a range of different riders including a 15 year old girl and an older gentleman and he is very adaptable. He is schooling novice/elementary level at home and does a lovely walk to canter and leg yield. He has completed dressage tests as part of his eventing record but hasn’t done pure dressage as yet. He would very happily go out and do some preliminary and novice tests and hold his riders hand. We are not looking for a pure dressage home for Doug as he does prefer his jumping and hacking so would enjoy some dressage and schooling as part of a varied lifestyle.

Doug loves his jumping, he is a real point and aim jumping machine. He makes a nice scopey shape and is careful. He is nicely forward going into a fence and is very honest and genuine to jump, he never says no and never stops. He will help his rider out and still go on a miss, he really knows his job and wants to jump. He is very bold and jumps all fillers and water trays first attempt confidently. He will go on a short or long stride and help his rider out and fill his rider with confidence. He is very ridable around a course of fences and nicely balanced around tight turns and does flying changes where necessary. He has lots of experience to teach his rider the ropes whether they are stepping up from ponies, have had a long break from riding or learning to jump, hes a very genuine and honest boy. He has competed at BS up to 115cm in the past. He has plenty of scope to still jump that height. He would be a lot of fun at riding club level and unaffiliated sj and would be very much in the ribbons. He is currently giving my teenage friend a lot of fun and taking her from jumping 80cm on her welsh pony to 110cm courses.

Doug is equally as bold over xc jumps he absolutely loves it! He has plenty of pace to make the time at events. He jumps everything asked of him including ditches and water complexes. He is a very talented boy who has had a super foundation put in place with lots of experience to really know his job and take his rider round. He is a very straight forward ride and takes his rider into the fences nice and confidently. He really gives his rider confidence as he is very genuine and loves his jumping and doesn’t get strong or silly. He is very neat and quick through the air with scope to jump the higher more technical fences, has previously evented up to BE intermediate with a cracking xc record. He would be very ideal to give a rider experience around BE90/100 now. He has had a few quieter years as just a hack since his eventing days so would be more like a 14 year old in that respect.

Doug is lovely to hack both alone and in company. He is excellent in traffic and very confident in his own skin. He has been used to give less experienced horses a lead out hacking as he is as rock solid on the roads as they come. He is very sensible in open spaces and not at all sharp. He will go out for miles on his own and give his rider so much fun! He will also go out in a group where he is very mannerly but does prefer to be near the front. He has been a brilliant happy hacker/ fun horse for a mature gentleman. He would be very well suited to someone wanting to combine pleasure rides with riding club. He would be the ideal type to take on horse holidays as he is very well behaved to ride at new places and just has so much fun to offer someone. He would definitely make someone a real quality safe Rolls Royce leisure/pleasure horse. It’s really difficult to find a horse as talented as Doug who also excels as a pleasure horse and makes his rider feel very safe! He would excel as a mother/daughter share in that respect.

Doug has a great temperament. He puts a smile on your face every day. He loves people and will make someone an amazing best friend. He is always good to catch and lead in. He loves all the attention of being groomed and pampered. He is very easy to handle in all ways. He lives in and out and is happy be turned out next to or in with other horses. He is great to shoe, wash and clip. He loads perfectly and travels like a dream. He’s great to take out and rides the same in new places as he does at home. He really is such a genuine honest gent who deserves the best of homes.

This is a very sad sale of my clients horse. His owner is now 70 and has reached the end of his riding days due to having a bad back but wants the best for Doug and wants him to continue to still have a job as he loves his work. He is the ultimate alrounder that everyone is looking for. He can turn her hoof to any job and is very versatile. He would be very suitable for a competent teenager coming off ponies. He would also suit an adult wanting to go out and have fun together. He would also still be a fabulous event horse at the lower levels as he has so much experience to offer someone. He would also suit a happy hacking/ pleasure ride home as he loves his hacking too. More photos and videos available via WhatsApp.

Based in Ramsey Peterborough.

Please send me a message on WhatsApp or call Katherine on 07460820294. Doug would have been a £25k horse a few years ago in his prime and is now priced at £12,000 to reflect that he is 17 this year but he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down and has the been there done that experience that younger horses don’t have.

SHOLA

5yo mare (unraced)

I’ve had such a fab time with this lovely mare, but it’s time for her to go find her forever family to spoil her.

15.3hh of absolute loveliness, the most un-mare-ish and gentle mare you will ever come across.

She will stand for hours on end to be groomed, fussed and loved - a total little snuggle bug.

Shola has mainly hacked (both alone and in company) with me due to her age but also because this is definitely what she enjoys, and she is completely and utterly unfazed. Shola has hacked through the heaviest of traffic along major main roads without a peep. Not bothered by buses, lorries, motorbikes.

I’ve taken her the beach and cantered her, then instantly walked her on the buckle end in a snaffle no issues, breaks are beautiful. I even use her as a lead file on riding school hacks down the beach.

Shola hasn’t really done a huge lot in the school but with time and patience i’m sure she could be lovely.

I’d absolutely love her to go somewhere that will enjoy hacking her just as much as i do. Home is absolutely paramount as she is such a sweetie.

huge collection of videos and photos below, more available.

Open to any vettings, viewings etc.

Happy to take an offer only to the best of homes.

Dixie - 16.2h 5yo ISH

Dixie is such a beautiful and striking lady visually paired with the most adorable nature. She adores cuddles and a fuss and is so kind and polite on the ground. Dixie has a very wise head on young shoulders. Not a sharp/fizzy/silly type. Very low maintenance to keep - isn’t the type that needs riding everyday.

Dixie has super potential in any sphere.

She schools sweetly with a beautifully balance and rhythmical canter with great transitions, established walk to canter. To jump she is unbelievably honest and goes on any stride and will take a miss. Unfazed by fillers etc

Stands beautifully to be mounted, hacks alone or in company and unfazed by everything you’ll meet out on your adventures. A very classy lady with a huge future ahead. She’s quiet enough for a novice but smart enough to be produced into whatever you fancy, may that be eventing, riding club, dressage, happy hack.

I cannot emphasise enough how easy and kind she is on the ground and to deal with in general.

Recently passed a 5 stage vetting.

She has come from a loving home where she was shared/competed by two teenage sisters.

I am looking for a dedicated home to take forward this special and talented horse who applies himself with will endeavour. Winner of Man v. Horse, June 2022 (see INVICTUS https://standardbred.org) from whence he has been with me for 3 years with full assurance of a safe and sound horse with potential to learn in other fields.

He has had a consistent programme of weekly schooling and weekend hacks where he has developed flexion, outline and a degree of balance in canter. He has achieved now canter on both reins in full and 20m circles but ongoing training is essential to mastering it fully and correcting the 'default pace gait' but he really impressively tries and is making good progress.

He maintains a wonderful working trot and tempo throughout with which to work through the aids and dressage aims. He loves jumping and has balletic moves in correcting his approach, also with raised and lain poles which engage his skills. He is an intelligent and willing horse to train and has developed a strong musculature to support his further development.

Hacking out over mixed terrain, rural lanes, hill trots, climbs, tracks, moors and through a town has given him wide experience and confidence; ideally he likes an off road adventure and does easily 6-8 miles each ride. I would l love a mature rider like myself to enjoy him and his versatility and to live in an area with good rides to explore and some cross-country jumping as a first! He has shared a field with a mare, but presently is at a part livery, strip grazed and stabled along with thoroughbred geldings.

He has no vices, except on occasion affectionate nibbling which is horse specific, and has been prevented by fencing. I have invested a lot in his potential and this is a sad sale, but I dearly wish his promising life to continue to prosper; home valued above all else.

He comes with good GP and Dressage saddles, numnahs, lunging kit, 2 bridles, rugs ....

Henry is a very elegant 16.1hh 6yr old, Thoroughbred gelding. He has only raced once in the past, and was never injured. He has great conformation and has been professionally re trained for well over a year.

He is a total gentleman on the ground. Loves to be pampered. Easy to handle. Respects riders personal space when leading him in/out the field for example. He is kind, willing, eager to learn. Lovely around children and people in general.

With three expressive paces, natural balance, and an impressive presence, Henry has all the attributes to excel in dressage. He is light in the hand, responsive to the aids, and is showing great potential in his lateral work.

Henry scored 70% Prelim, 64% in British Dressage Novice and is working on Elementary movements at home.

He hacks alone or in company. Is good in traffic and has been used to lead when out hacking with a nappy pony.

Henry is popping round coloured fences, and has XC schooled, proving to be very willing and scopey. He would suit a knowledgable home to continue to educate and produce him further with his is jumping.

Up to date with farrier, physio, dentist and vaccs. (Stands lovely for all).

Loads happily on a trailer or waggon.

This is an exciting opportunity for a competent rider / mother daughter share to develop a talented horse with a very bright future.

Mootlite For Cob Sake (Pippa) 155cm 6yo Mare

Pippa is your ultimate all-rounder and the type that will see generations in a family through any discipline. Broken as a 3yo and turned away, she has been professionally produced from a 4 year old. Her achievements to date have far surpassed any expectation I ever had and as such this is a hard decision.

Pippa is an extremely comfortable enjoyable forward ride with 3 well established mannerly paces. Great confirmation with no lumps bumps or blemishes. She is bidable and honest in every sense and loves to jump both SJ & XC. She has schooled over coloured poles at 90cm with plenty of untapped potential in this area as she has a clean, careful and powerful natural jump. Pippa has competed in dressage and behaved impeccably with her most recent score at a local training show in January 2025 of 75%.

Full history is known and while she does not have breeding recorded, she is half Irish Cob (dame) and draught (Sire). Pippa has the most wonderful temperament and is a firm favourite in the yard as she is extremely easy to do anything with including farrier, clipping, travelling, washing, lunging, over-night trips and will happily live in or out.

Pippa loves to hack alone or in company and is the most unflappable mare. She does not take a second look at traffic, animals in fields or other road users and has been used to lead out younger horses because of this strength. Your biggest challenge hacking is a loose rein and high grass as she does like a quick nibble. While, she has already proven her worth in every sense, there is so much more in the tank with Pippa and she is now primed for her next home.

Pippa does have sweetitch which was known when I bought her. This has been correctly managed with diet, herbal supplements and appropriate rugging. It has only ever been evident in her mane and tail and face and has never manifested on her body. It has never come against her in the ring as once managed, is unnoticeable.

Pippa is currently based in Kilkenny in Ireland.
