BLACK is riding sweetly on the flat (for a 3yo) your typical wobbly baby but not sensitive or reactive at all he’s extremely safe. He’s popped over a tiny jump purely to see his attitude towards it and he was brilliant, very bold and straight over with no hesitation. He’s perfect out on the roads and in open spaces, he’s an active cob but safe safe safe! Showing brilliant attitude towards all the ground work I’ve done with him, straight over tarpaulin not a care in the world, he’s very bold and inquisitive.

Lovely temperament, he gives the best kisses and very cute!! He’s quite bum high so I do think there’s quite a bit of growing left for him to do. Should make at least 15hh.

Good to do in all ways, lovely manners.

Lindy has 3 lovely places and carries herself a lovely natural shape - really flicks her toes and she has excellent confirmation.

A mare that is a great active mover and is not too forward but she is not lazy either. Loves her jumping proving bold and jumped both xc and Showjumps and has even done a few mornings hunting out in Ireland. A very gentle mannered cob that has got a very sober temperament and is easy to stop!

Lyndy is great hacking and will go first or last, alone and in company . She is excellent in even the heaviest traffic and great with big lorries and farm traffic too.

Really genuine to handle and loves the children - happy to let them lead her, groom, tack her up etc always kind and gentle.

This mare would do pony club, novice SJ and Hunter Trials, happy hacking and be a great family horse or mother daughter share, or would make a great Riding School type.

She was previously in a riding school for years teaching lots of beginner riders the basics.

Been in the her current home for 4yrs where she has been used for all riding club activities including jumping clinics, beach rides and generally teaching a number of kids and loaners

She’s a sweet mare that still loves to please and has very good manors!

She has all the basics in the school and will adapt to her riders with ease.
Not a complete plod, you can still get your leg on without her being sharp or lazy

She is jumping a 80cm course of jumps with ease and is happy jumping all colourful and spooky fillers! She loves her jumping and will happily come down to a fence in a rhythmical canter, pop it and ride away!

We have XC schooled her while at Highwoodhall Equestrain and she loved it! Again good in open spaces and just got on with anything asked of her!

Bailey schools sweetly on the flat however he is more of a whoa then go type he happily pops over a small set of show jumps, he’s absolutely perfect out hacking he happily hacks through busy traffic, big trucks/tractors ect this is what he’s mainly been doing the last year as he absolutely loves it!

He’s good in open spaces alone or in company, he’s also attended forest rides where he was foot perfect.

Bailey is so sweet and loves being around people, he’d happily stand all day to be groomed and he’s his happiest when he’s out exploring the countryside, he’ll definitely be someone’s best friend!

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.
