2019 coloured mare

We have owned Maggie just over a year. Purchased as a just broken green 4 year old with the intention of my 10 year old daughter to progress onto from her first 11hh pony.

She’s been an absolute angel but due to my daughter’s lack of confidence and experience she is proving to be too green for her.
She is by no means a difficult pony to ride or dangerous or naughty in anyway. She’s just needs bringing on.
Due to no fault of her own we feel that she is being wasted with us. She needs a more established jockey to help her reach her full potential.

Before we bought her she was shown in hand at the novice pony and coloured championships. Where she won both her. Classes. She’s a real head turner.

During the time we have owned Maggie she has shown no malice. She tries her best at everything she does. She’s good to do in all ways and can be handled by children all day long.

She’s attended local shows, beach rides, and will hack out all day for fun. She’s will also plod along on the lead rein with the tiniest of children and this doesn’t phase her.

She is up to date with feet, teeth and vaccinations.

This is a very difficult decision so please serious enquiries only for this much loved pony. We want to her to go the best of homes.

Price includes tack.

  • Happy hacker/hunter

Phoebe is the most genuine kind mare looking for new loving home. Having been in the same home for 2 years she has proven to be the ultimate hunter and hacker. Loves to be out on the field and will plod the lanes for hours.

Phoebe has about 2 seasons of hunting under her belt and always seems to be a field favourite and speed machine. Will pop jumps and hedges up to 70 and will stay out all day. Stands nicely in busy meets and is unfazed by hounds, pheasants or anything “scary”.

Absolutely bomb proof in traffic; tractors, cars, Lorry’s, she won’t move. Loves a gallop and can be a little strong but never silly, has been ridden by a 2 year old on the lead rain multiple times.

Will pop a jump in an arena but needs confidence from her rider as she only knows the basics and just genuinely loves her job.
Will stay out 24/7 or alternatively come in and out whenever, good to load, travel, shoe, and clip and is never mareish at all.

Was an rda pony for a few years in Essex after she was brought over from Ireland.

This is an extremely hard decision as she was a first pony but has been outgrown in size and ability so needs a loving home that will love her for what she is.
Tack and rugs can be discussed on extra payment

Wanted genuine kind allrounder for experienced, ridden all her life mum to do riding club clinics, xc schooling and hack out sensibly with children and ponies around our quiet country tracks and lanes. Must be able to confidently hack alone on occasion and not mind the odd day off.

But also for confident, competent daughter to compete at sj, xc etc and do more exciting things. So must enjoy jumping and be fairly genuine to a fence.
lt will be a fun varied life.

We keep our horses at our home in lovely indoor stables with lovely turnout. They want for nothing and are a very much loved part of our family. We would prefer if the horse was privately owned and known fairly well. This will be a forever home so we would like to get the right match.

Will consider quirks, blemishes etc if disclosed and can be managed. Happy to wait if you are not quite ready to move your horse on yet. Would consider sale, loan or lease. Our Email is bluemoon3218@hotmail.com or ring/text number

We are south devon but will travel within reason. Good budget

Midnight champion

Stable name champ

Champ has had the best start to life broken in by a lovely family in Ireland who have produced him over the past year. He has visited the beach. Competed showing including working hunter. And has been out unaffiliated jumping. They took him out hunting before he came over to us as they have a younger pony to produce on.

Champ is much more slow than go with an amazing temperament and the flashy looks. Would suit any rider. We have put him through his paces here with a wide range of riders on him from petite child beginner to novice adults hacking and more experienced riders everyone gets off with a huge smile on there face. Now ready to find his best friend.

Easiest horse on the ground. Clipped him without his head collar on. Loves the children and being made a fuss of.

More videos and photos on request.

Open to any viewing and vetting.

Based Elsenham, Essex.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Stunning Cob Gelding Looking for forever home

Ref #: 361312
£2,750 OVNO
  • Cob
  • Grey
  • Gelding
  • 15 years
  • 14.2 hands

Please read the whole advert as I’ve written an honest advert to prevent wasting people’s time and my own aswell as getting Arthur his forever home.

Arthur is an absolutely stunning 14.1 / 2 hh cob for sale through no fault of his own, his 15 almost 16 years old and looks like his been shaken out of a fairytale book. He carries himself so beautifully and is a very affectionate and intelligent horse.

The vet and the dentist said they would put Arthur as a couple of years younger than his passport age. He had his teeth done in September and just had the farrier out, he has been shod in the past but has great feet and so does not require shoes - the farrier said he has the best feet his ever seen. Arthur has been driving horse for the first part of his adult life so he is very much ridden on voice commands he has not been driven by myself. He has done liberty dressage and he knows various tricks his very clever.

Arthur loves to be groomed and often falls asleep with his lip dangling because his enjoying it so much ! He would stand for hours to be groomed. He is an absolute saint to handle on the ground and a small child could lead him around. He has become a bit stubborn with his front feet being picked up but I think his being a bit stubborn because his bored. He is excellent on the road and has previously been ridden through London. He has ridden both English and western.

Although there are many areas that Arthur would suit a complete novice owner I do not think he is for a complete novice rider because he can be strong. He has not bucked or reared and is very good at listening to voice commands once he knows you but he is strong when he wants to be and for that reason I do not think he would suit a novice. I don’t have access to a school so I don’t know how he is schooling. Apart from the odd log I don’t if he jumps. You could lead a novice on him and he would be an absolute angel. I have had novices ride him off lead and he was amazingly behaved. Arthur really is an amazing horse and his unfortunately wasted here and his too good for that. Please no loans and no time wasters I’m open to sensible offers for a good home

Major is a fantastic pony club / allrounder that would excel as a 2 nd pony turning his hoof to anything you ask.

He has done pc activities, regularly competed, does a lovely dressage test and has been used in our riding school over the past 3 years where he will happily take a tiny tot on and off the lead rein or jump round a 65 course with a older child.

Major hacks alone or in company and is good in traffic.

Handled daily by children and is good in all respects

He does know lateral work and changes.

He rides big for his size he is elevated and puts a total smile on your face.

(5’10 rider in some photos)

We took him out to dressage this week and he was faultless (apart from rider going wrong way) he was perfect in boards and in the collecting ring around others.

We have also popped him round a small course of fences where he was easy and straightforward maintenance a lovely balanced rhythm.

He is a lovely character to be around he is cheeky but not naughty and will definitely become a best friend in minutes!

We’ve hacked him alone and in company where he has been good and brave.

He has a can do attitude, he isn’t brain dead has enough about him in all the correct ways!

Suitable for a small adult or child would be ideal for dressage and/or all riding club activities!! He is one very very hard to find!

I imported him from Holland where he has been dressage trained and part of a family who did abit of everything with him.

Extremely sad SALE

138cm, 9yr old Piebald Traditional Stallion

My gorgeous Boy needs no introduction to anyone who knows me … he is quite simply perfect ??

This beautiful natured cob would absolutely excel BD or equally continue his already very successful showing career .

Too many wins and championships to list affiliated and county level .

Trained to medium advanced at home but eligible for prelim as never contested dancing within the white boards !

Extremely well schooled , light infront , superb cadence to his movement in all three paces , is a responsive light ride off the leg with a really trainable attitude .

Works beautifully in a snaffle or double bridle and is extremely light in the hand .

Would make SUPERB HOYS junior prospect if gelded.

Extremely well travelled, is brilliant in big show environments and thrives off a big crowd .

Hacks alone or in company, crosses any country safely , excellent in traffic and truly is as bomb proof as a pony can get out hacking .

Loves attention and fuss, steps up or down dependant on his riders level .

He would be a perfect mother / daughter / granny share .

Has hunted , Ponyclub rallies, Easter egg hunts … you name it … he has done it!

Dual licensed BSPA and TGCA .

This truly is a heart breaking decision so will only be available to the very best of homes.

He can be castrated on site at an additional cost.

Recently passed 5 stage vetting for grading.

Please feel free to PM me for any more info and millions of pics / vids

Candy - 14.2/3, 4 years (rising 5), Irish mare. Breeding unrecorded but believed to be Connie X.

Really lovely little sort with lots of bone, good conformation and solid feet. An old fashioned hunter pony type that takes the leg well so easily takes an adult.

Backed at the beginning of summer and taken slowly and carefully. Hacks alone and in company, good in traffic and enjoys boxing up for a hack.

Good in open spaces and works happily in the field. Coming along well on the flat but obviously still green due to age. Lovely little mover and would do a smart dressage test in time or go off into the showring. Popped a log and done some polework. Starting to pop a fence sweetly in the school. Hunted Boxing Day with someone who’s never sat on her before and behaved impeccably. Stood quietly, wasn’t worried about the other horses round her and didn’t pull.

Super easy to have on the yard, it’s easy to forget she’s even there!

Good to catch/load/clip (inc trimming legs with clippers)/shoe/bath. Has been left in the field and stable until last to turn out/bring in as she doesn’t create she just waits her turn!

Clean 5 stage vetting before import and now ready to find her new human.

Located Farnham Surrey.

14.3hh traditional cob gelding

11 years old

Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, worming, physio and farrier

Barefoot

Passported and microchipped

He is a true leg at each corner! He is great fun and very much enjoys having a job. He is very low mileage and green for his age as he was a pet and companion before coming to me.

He has been professionally broken and ridden away by myself and is now ready to find his forever home. Please note: I am the rider in the photos and I am 5ft9.

He has been started slowly and correctly and is a very honest and genuine horse to work with, he is great fun and I think he would very much enjoy getting out and about once he is fitter. He is green for his age so I am looking for an experienced home to continue his education , no novices please.

He happily lives in or out, is very well mannered and good to do.

He is working well in walk, trot and canter and over poles. He will happily pop a jump and has plenty of scope. Once he is fitter he will make a fantastic allrounder, someone is definitely going to be very lucky to call him their new best friend! And he will be sorely missed.

Forever homes only please, no novices, no loans, no payment plans.

Serious enquiries only please.

I will not sell him unseen so please don’t ask. His price will go up in the spring if he is still with me.

Based East Riding of Yorkshire

Messages preferred please as I am very busy right now, if I feel you potentially might be the right match/home for him calls can be scheduled
