  • Good to hack

Apple has been with us for nearly 3 years but is hopelessly outgrown so on the lookout for her next home. With us she has mostly been used to teach my daughter to ride, for the occasional pony club rally, local arena hires and shows and hacking out. She will hack out alone, and prefers to follow if in a group.

She is easy on the ground, leads well and will stand to be groomed for as long as you want if there is a haynet nearby! She has always been cared for by my daughter, and she is easy to do everything for. She is good for the farrier (front shoes) and is up to date with vaccines and teeth. Never sick or sorry.

She currently lives out at night with another mare, but has been on her own and in larger herds too. She doesn't mind individual turnout and is happy to come in. She comes straight to you in the field.

She would suit a whole range of riders, from a small novice to a competent teen or an older rider. She has been used on lead rein. She will step up or down dependent on the rider.

Priced to sell due to needing the stable for new larger pony for my growing teen.

Comes with bridle and some rugs, professionally fitted saddle negotiable separately.

WANTED saintly schoolmaster 13.2 – 14h

Ref #: 364138
  • To do all manners of PC activities
  • Kind and genuine
  • For a 11 year old rider
  • To do all manners of PC activities
  • Kind and genuine
  • For a 11 year old rider

We are looking for a saintly schoolmaster 13.2 – 14h for my capable but nervous 11-year-old daughter who has ridden all her life and outgrown her current pony. Rider enjoys being part of the Pony club but most of all she really loves her lessons and building a friendship with her pony. She does enjoy competing, but a reliable and kind pony is more important to her.

We are a lovely set up at home – on a farm with other horses. We have plenty of hacking, and lots of great instruction. She loves dressage and would be keen to pursue this, but she wants to be able to jump too.

We are looking for a best friend who will be very loved and cared for. She enjoys handling the pony herself – bathing, grooming, tacking up, loading etc.

We are not looking for anything young or inexperienced. A real confidence giver would be amazing. Excellent budget for the right horse. Will be vetted etc.

We are based in Kent, and can provide references as a home

Brontë The Super Cob Allrounder

Ref #: 364579
  • Fantastic in all disciplines, loves to jump, not spooky at all.
  • Show quality coloured who would excel in the show ring
  • Snaffle mouthed and good to hack in heavy traffic alone or in company
£10,500 ONO
  • Cob
  • Piebald
  • Mare
  • 9 years
  • 14.2 hands (AHC)
  • Fantastic in all disciplines, loves to jump, not spooky at all.
  • Show quality coloured who would excel in the show ring
  • Snaffle mouthed and good to hack in heavy traffic alone or in company

The Ultimate Genuine, sensible Allrounder!

Bron has it all, she does everything, Showjumping, XC, Dressage, showing, all RC activities, camps, happy hacking etc she does it all willingly.

Bron is a comfortable, easy to ride mare who was previously in a showing home before coming to current owner to do all riding club activities. She has 3 balanced, swinging, even paces which would light up the show ring or the dressage arena. Her transitions are good, she’s responsive off the leg and snaffle mouthed in all disciplines

She loves jumping and literally jumps anything you put her in front of, not at all spooky at fillers, brave and forwards without being strong

She would be fantastic in the show ring although she’s currently a “sports cob” version having had her feathers clipped off and mane shortened due to current owners preference. Her legs are in great order for typical “cob legs”

She hacks out in the heaviest of traffic alone or in company, is great in open spaces, doesn’t get hot or stupid in a group of horses and won’t ever pull your arms off. She would happily go hunting without getting wound up or silly

She’s got a relaxed temperament and enjoys her work. She’s happy to stand and be faffed with washed, brushed and clipped. She can be a typical mare and scowl as other horse pass her stable but she loves attention from people.

She’s good box, lorry or trailer, shoe and clip and doesn’t have any vices. No novice riders as she’s a forward thinking, quality competition mare and not a steady plod

Tack available by negotiation

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

We are looking for the next Pony to join our family to take part in all things Pony club, Local SJ shows, Showing, lots of hacking and horsey days out, we also do an annual trip to the beach with the horses.

The Pony would be cared for by myself on a small private yard near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (currently stabled at night)

I hack regularly with my two children so a Pony that is safe cantering in open spaces and being handled by children is must.

My daughter is keen to pursue her jumping/working hunter further so a pony that has been there, done it and not phased by fillers etc.

Please no youngsters/green or project ponies.

References available

For transport we have a 4 herringbone trailer.

Buckinghamshire based but willing to travel up to 2 hours.

Thanks!

Stunning mare been in our family since a three year old, my little brother aged 10 broke her in. She has been amazing, doing it all… pony club, dressage which she excels at etc. I have been training her since my brother has grown too big. We are currently working at elementary, she finds the lateral work very easy.

My brother has done working Hunter, in hand showing, been to lots of different BD venues, and generally just loves her. She is advertised as a competition pony, not a first ridden, she is safe and does not bronc, rear bolt, etc, she listens and is light so if a kid gos wham bam it’s going to worry her, she has a real want to please, we don;t want anyone worrying her by not having an independence seat.

This absolute gem of a pony is easy to handle in every single way, you can trust her around small children, my little brother would often fall asleep sat on her lead at pony club rallies and she would just graze quietly. She hacks well, loads well, is good for the Farrier, is good to clip. She is bold to a fence without being strong or silly with good scope.

She would excel in the show ring, she has fantastic breeding too with lots of HOYs ponies In her bloodlines. Equally would do PFEI
