Companion Horse - Ex Racer Mare

Due to a recent vet investigation whereby sadly my gorgeous rising 11 year old (March 2014) TB ex flat racer mare is now looking for a new home as a companion horse only strictly not ridden. She has arthritis in her left fore knee which steroid injections will keep it at bay and her comfortable. She’ll happily Live out providing appropriate pasture / field management allows this and will make a brilliant companion horse.

No vices & up to date with everything. She’s an absolute pleasure to handle and be around. She loads and travels beautiful. Currently co-nannying my filly since weaning. She was previously a broodmare before I acquired her. I had originally planned to sell her as a low-level RC /happy hacker until recent diagnosis after a reoccurrence of lameness over the last nearly 2 months. Beautiful manners. Easy to catch and is never silly or hot. Just want her to go to a loving, caring home as she is so lovely. She will come with some rugs.

Perspective new owners / loaners must have references to provide. Home & her wellbeing is very important and a priority for her rehoming / loan.

Based in Somerset - viewings welcome. Please no time wasters - I don’t have the time! Any questions please feel free to ask.

Lucky Casino is an outstanding quality TB. Standing at 16’2HH 6yo bay gelding. He oozes natural ability with a fabulous temperament to match.

Recently retired from racing/training, sound, healthy and without injury or vices. I truly believe this beautifully put together horse with excel in all disciplines across the ROR competitions once fully retrained. Since being with us to be retrained he has been out to arena hires, combined training, poles rallies, and jump clinics.

He is exceptionally well behaved at shows, and is happy to be left on the lorry/trailer or even tied beside it. He doesn’t get stressy or hot up and warms up professionally around others in the warm up areas. Lucky is a beautiful mover with a great hind leg, a balanced canter and a correct bold technique over a fence. He’s seen loads of different types of fillers and rustic fences and isn’t a spooky type.

He will happily hack alone or in company and is a pleasure to ride. He loves to learn new things and is very trainable. Easy to do anything with, and has the best attitude towards life. A real quality gelding that would suit any job from dressage, showjumping, eventing, hunting, mother and daughter share.

He is still in the early stages of his retraining so will need an experienced person to continue this. A very hard type to find with this much potential and a horse so conformationally correct.

Name: Soft Summer Breeze - Old fashioned type TB, plenty of bone and big stamp.

Starting to work well on the flat, plenty to work on but she is very willing and happy in the school.

Started jumping coloured poles and been XC once. She is very sweet and takes life in.

More of a laid back ride than a forward one.

Happy to hack alone or in company.

She is still green but a quick learner. Would suit someone on a budget that’s happy to put the time in. As she will be a super horse when finished.

I would think she would love to go hunting.

Home important and a non racing agreement.

Lovely TB gelding approx 16.1HH rising 6yo dark bay. BB has recently retired sound from racing so is ROR eligible. He is such a sweet, genuine and laid back lad.

He would be absolutely ideal as a happy hacker or riding club horse or just someone’s best friend with his outstanding temperament. He’s got so much love to give. Someone who just wants a nice easy going, straight forward horse to enjoy life with.

He started his retraining 4 weeks ago and already works very nicely in the arena, he’s green but balanced and enjoys it. Hes really enjoying his jumping and has been to arena hires, pole rallies and group jump clinics.

Always behaves impeccably at different venues and is just incredibly easy to do anything with. Does not need to be ridden every day and is perfect to hack alone or in company, we have ridden him straight down main roads and he’s not been bothered at big Lorrie’s etc. He is very polite in big open spaces and happily walks, trots and canters in big fields.

He’s great to shoe, box, catch, travel etc. BB is more woah than go, hence not wanting to be a race horse, so he would suit most people if they are willing to finish off his retraining, he is obviously not a ready made riding horse 4 weeks out of retraining…. Having said that he basically just needs more miles on the clock to gain a bit of experience, the sensible brain and level headedness is already there!

Wildewood

8yr old 16.2 gelding

Woody has been reschooled slowly by his owner since coming out of training in 2020. His owner has done mainly flatwork amd hacking with him and he has been placed in dressage classes.

He came to me in September and since then has competed in shows jumping 80/90 with loads of scope for more, he has been to one sponsored ride jumping everything asked of him and he has been cross country schooling once and loved it.

Rides nicely on the flat, lots of step and covers great ground. Hacks out alone and in company and is good with any traffic we've met so far. He is good to shoe, clip, load and travel, a pleasure to have around the yard and can be handled by a 10yr old.

Woody has the potential to be a great junior/young rider event horse, he is also straight and correct and RoR eligible.

Video shows his first time cross country.

Based in Ireland, transport can be arranged.

Dream is a 16hh 10 year old ex racer, he has been in the same home since he finished his racing career and has proven time and time again that he is worth his weight in gold.

We have competed in multiple novice teamchases, Dream loves XC and will take you boldly over any course. I have no doubt in his ability to continue on and complete an intermediate teamchase.

Dream has taken me around several hunter trails, he is always careful and courageous. He hacks amazingly alone and in company and loves a good jumping session in the school.

I cannot fault this horse, he will stand to be clipped, for the farrier, dentist, always loads and is currently up to date with everything.

This is a very hard sale, he will only go to the best of homes and I am in no rush to see him go anywhere. The home must be right. A genuine reason forces this sale which I will discuss with his new home.

Dream can come with everything he will need for his new forever home as well as his tack for an extra cost.

No time wasters or joy riders please, all homes will be vetted.

For sale due to a change in commitments, I am starting a course in the new year and I feel I won’t have the time for him that he so deserves.

He is easy to do in all ways on the ground and in his ridden work. He is schooled well and has 3 balanced paces and also loves to jump.

He is fit and ready to go out and win some rosettes.

He is not suitable for a novice. Ideally he is looking for a competitive home so he can go out and start having some fun. He is honestly such a gent and is going to make some lucky person very happy.
