Pretty Welsh Pony, Dark Bay, 15yrs (rising 16yrs), 12.3hh.

Very sweet natured, easy to handle and a good doer. Loves being around people. Lovely movement.

She has been used for and really enjoys Pony Club rallies, Camp and local unaffiliated Show Jumping. Intelligent mare that needs a confident rider to be her new best friend.

She has come back into work recently having been out of work over the winter as my daughter has another pony. The time off as not effected her and in the last few weeks she has happily started back hacking, jumping and been having a go at mountain games bending poles etc.

Used to farm machinery and traffic on a busy road. Lives in or out. No health issues, fully vaccinated.

A sad sale but she has been outgrown. Good home essential.

Darcy has been my daughter's pony for the past 4 years but he's been hopelessly outgrown and a change in circumstances has forced a very sad sale.

We are still very much in touch with his old owner who had him for 11 years prior.

Please don't let his age put you off, he is not ready to retire and he's still very much full of life and is completely sound and I would love to see him making another child's dreams come true.

Darcy is a forward going fun responsive ride and is quick off the leg.

Darcy really excels at Showjumping and is very fast against the clock and is always in the placings even in very large classes. He has recently been out competing at 50/60cms with ease.

He has done mounted games and pony club racing in the past and was very successful.

To hack he is bomb proof on the roads but can get a bit excited before a gallop. He has never bucked or reared.

Darcy has taken my daughter from doing lead rein/first ridden on him to winning overall junior at our local riding club for the past 3 years and representing the club at STARS at Aintree.

He really excels in the show ring with his flashy movement and effortlesss transitions.

He also makes a good working hunter and will produce a lovely dressage test.

He is up to date with teeth, feet, worming, injections, physio etc and is currently bare foot.

He will come with all his tack (including shires hi lite saddle/show saddle/every day bridle/show bridle) and rugs. The right home is more important than price.

  • Well schooled, safe and sensible.

  • Been there and done it all!
Our “Robyn Goch” is sadly outgrown and is looking for her next jockey to look after, teach and to do a range of fun low level activities.

She is safe, forward going with brakes, full up 12.2hh, welsh x type, chestnut, mare, 19 years young.

Robyn has been an excellent all rounder, brave, bold and safe. Loving her job, she has been there and done it all, goes up and down the gears to look after her little jockey, she teaches them so much on and off the ground.

In her previous home she has had great success at competitions, especially working hunter and was always placed.

In the 3 years we have had her, she has been my daughters second pony, we have done a variety of activities, jumping, working hunter, cross coutry schooling (up to 55-60cm), showing, fancy dress, hacking and all PC rallies, including camp. She has seen PC mounted games equipment and done a little training. Represented our PC branch at Area dressage.

Robyn enjoys a variety of work, is bombproof in the heaviest of traffic, hacks alone or in company, front or rear, with an electric bike and with dogs running alongside her. She is excellent in open spaces, never spooky or silly, can be strong but does have brakes.

She stands happily and patiently, to be groomed, on or by the trailer and waits for her turn and always behaves well. She is easy to bath, clip, load, travel, with the dentist, farrier and vet, up to date with teeth, back checks and injections.

Robyn is a much loved memeber of our family, she is handled by my daughter, happy to live in or out, we keep her on restricted grazing as she is a very good doer!

We are currently working on Robyn’s fitness, as she has been out of regular work over the winter months.
Looking for an experienced loving home. Serious enquiries only. Home is most important.

Beautiful, fun, fast, capable Welsh mare for sale.

15 years old, 12.1HH

2nd pony suitable for a competent and confident rider looking for a fun pony to go on adventures with. We have had Poppy for 4 years and in that time we have done lots - show jumping, pony club games, fancy dress rides, liberty camps, swimming, new forest rides, general hacking and schooling. In the home before us she was a mounted games pony, although we have not competed at this, but done lots of games like it at home.

She requires a family and little person who will take the time to build a bond with her to allow her to flourish. She is forward, but has breaks and doesn't bolt, buck or rear. Although small, she is very competent and will easily jump 60-70cm with scope for higher. She loves to jump and has always brought home a rosette or two.

Excellent to handle - the children do everything with her. She is great with dentist, vet, farrier (she is barefoot). Great to load and travel, happy to live in or out and with a herd or alone.

A sad sale, but my daughter has desperately outgrown her and is too good to leave in a field.

Based Northants.

He has a personality and likes the ladies, no vices, but likes to be the last one in from the field.

We have done a little unaffiliated and affiliated SJ, he has won and been placed in many classes down at Felbridge and Pyecombe from 70cm to 90cm, he rarely lets us down,

Fantastic hunting pony

Approximately 14 hand 16 year old Connemara mare

Always in snaffle and very steady. Luna has taken an inexperienced child out hunting many times and has been very well mannered and safe. Capable jumping. Never pulls or gets stupid.

Enjoys fun rides and would be super in a little team chase. She has also done all pony club activities including camp. Competed in schools showjumping.

She is delightful on the ground and in the stable. Very easy to deal with and low maintenance. Happy to be in or out. Enjoys riding out with others more than on her own. Schools nicely on the flat. Would do a lovely dressage test.

  • Been there and done it all!

Been there and done it all, PC camp, stay away shows, SJ – PC Mini champs, XC, pony racing rally, tetrathlon, beach rides, ridden bareback. A true all-rounder who is easy to have around.

Darcy is a lovely gentle pony, a child can do everything with her. We have had her for almost 3 years and she is now sadly outgrown and needs a new little person to love her. She is a 2nd pony to jump as she is speedy, so needs a confident fast rider. A different pony to hack and school and is much calmer, she loves to jump but is getting older and would like to do lots of hacking and not just jump. She is happy jumping up to 60cm.

Her only quirk is after 45 minutes of XC/jump schooling if she has got bored of stopping and starting she may put in a couple of mini rears. Never to unseat her rider, just to say she has had enough of standing around.

She currently is in very minimal work due to my daughter already having another pony and not having much time during the winter to ride two, but she can be left days without being ridden and is exactly the same. She can be left alone while the others are ridden. Turns out with mares and geldings. Good to hack, clip, shoe, load etc

£3,000 to include bridle and rugs. Looking for an experienced loving home who are willing to stay in touch as she’ll be sadly missed. Please WhatsApp for more details.

Sad sale of our beautiful dun mare

She has enjoyed everything pony club has to offer!, dozens of camps, rallies, practices, loves mounted games , beach rides, dressage, cross country, unaff show jumping, clinics and showing. She is a joy to hack and will go first , last , on or off the lead rein and is safe in open spaces.

She enjoys hacking and is great fun. She is well behaved but because she is forward she is more suited to a more confident child if off the lead rein or a small adult.

Good in traffic, around dogs , loves a pamper and is always loaded and handled by children, good to travel alone or in company and well behaved at the event.

She lives in or out , with mares or geldings and we have had no issues with laminitis.

Stands happily to be shod and clipped.

We are looking for her next home who will love her as much as we do. She enjoys a quieter life now, has started to refuse over 40 cm's and does take confidence from the rider with jumping
We have had the vet check her fully with no medical cause identified. She has years left of fun for the right family. Presently, she is ridden by an 8 and 11 year old and a 5ft 3& l/w adult.

She has given my girls lots of joy, she taught them both to canter and enjoyed all pony activities, so they are now ready for the next pony.

Really sad sale. Good home is essential

Comes with tack and some rugs. Up to date with flu /tet.

Cookie is a fun, forward going 2nd Pony.

She has attended all PC Rallies, competitions and had regular lessons with our main instructor. She is fit and ready to go, never sick or sorry. She has excellent manners and is handled by our petite 8 year old daughter who brings her in from the field, grooms her, tacks her up (standing on a box to reach!) she has even helped Clip her and bath her. She also loads her when we go out and about

She hacks alone and in company, is bombproof in heavy traffic, in fact she regularly collects her rider from school and is not fussed by school buses and busy school pick up traffic. She is ridden in open spaces over Bredon Hill and is polite and has brakes. Good to ride and lead.

We bought Cookie to allow our daughter to progress from a very steady first Pony to independently riding and jumping courses.

She has done a brilliant job and now needs to find her next jockey to make that transition from a first Pony to a sportier model! She will come with a full wardrobe and we would like to stay in touch. Lots of photos and videos on request

Good to box, shoe (she is barefoot) Clip, Bath

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

We’re a full time RDA centre, able to support around 300 local disabled adults & children…if we have enough horses!
Whether for sale or loan, we’re waiting to offer a great home to safe, sensible and people loving horses/ponies.
