ULTIMATE LEAD REIN/FIRST RIDDEN UNICORN

Absolutely heartbreaking sale of our gorgeous Rosie. We are very sadly looking to find Rosie a new home as our daughter is rapidly growing out of her.

Rosie is 12hh, grey, Welsh Sec A, 20 years young with a heart of gold. She is truly the most perfect first pony- the type that is so hard to find, and we got so lucky when she came into our lives. She now needs a new best friend to teach the ropes to.

Rosie has done absolutely every pony club activity going - camps, rallies, competitions, mounted games and fancy dress.

She enjoys hacking, has done beach rides and has hunted too. She’s fab to shoe (front only), clip and travel. She’s happy to live out but we now stable her overnight during the winter as feel she deserves that and would want that for her going forwards. We feel that Rosie is comfortable jumping up to 50cm, so if you’re looking for more than that then please don’t enquire.

She is brilliant both on & off the lead rein and fantastic at transitioning little ones off the lead rein. She will look after tiny wobbly jockeys and adapt to their own pace and step up when they’re ready.

She comes with her tack (including a saddle company saddle) and more rugs than one pony could ever need!

Rosie needs half a prascend tablet a day to manage mild cushings. She’s never had laminitis and the cushings is no issue for us.

She has impeccable manners on the ground and loves nothing more than a groom and cuddles.

Masses of videos and pictures available. Home is of the upmost importance to us (we are after a loving caring home where she will be part of your family as she has been for us) for this incredibly special, so hard to find gem of a pony who has a proven record of looking after her rider and has done it all!

Based in Liphook, Hants. Pls WhatsApp 07977050212 for photos / videos / more information

Crabbswood Zonda (Woody) - All round Schoolmaster. Registered New Forest – Chestnut – Gelding - 13.2hh - 19 years old- Crabbswood Zonda (Woody)

Our wonderful, safe, honest, fun pony Woody is now sadly for sale as he has been outgrown. We have owned him for over 3 years and he has been ridden by my two daughters and my friend's son. He has been brilliant with my very nervous daughter, teaching her to jump and making her love the sport again.

Woody is an amazing confidence giver and is almost always in the rosettes when he is competing. He has a heart of gold and is good to do. He hacks alone or in a group, including beach rides and fun rides. We have taken him to the gallops and he has never been silly or strong. He doesn’t buck, rear or kick. He has been ridden bareback to the field in a headcollar. He is great to clip, shoe, travel etc. He loves to be out in the field and can be a little keen when handled on the ground sometimes.

He took his previous young jockey from jumping 60cm to 90cm+. He also helped her develop her riding on the flat. Dressage is something he excels in; they won their section at the pony cub grassroots area competition and they were usually in the top 5 after the dressage when eventing. Woody has represented the Whaddon Chase PC in many teams both jumping and dressage and almost always been placed.

He is well schooled. Woody really knows his job cross country although we haven't done that with him. His previous owner reported that he was excellent at ditches, banks, water and skinnies, tricky lines etc. He is keen but he will only go as fast as the rider wants him to go, which instils a lot of confidence. In show jumping, he jumps all fillers, water trays and is a careful jumper.

Whilst he has had numerous clear rounds at 80cm and 90cm show jumping previously, we don’t think he is happy competing at 80cm any longer. He would be perfect for a new, young rider who wants to start out show jumping/ eventing / dressage at a lower level. At 50, 60 and 70cm he is an absolute rosette machine. and a very straight forward, fun and safe ride. At this height Woody will help his jockey and jump anything. He is very honest to jump.

He is fit and ready to go. He passed a full vetting when we bought him and has been sound throughout the time we’ve had him. Unfortunately, he does suffer from sweet itch during the summer months, which we manage with a sweet itch rug, bathing, herbs and creams.

Woody is one in a million and we love him to bits. We want to find the best possible home for him.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

"Rory" 18 Year Old 13.2.hh Welsh Part Bred Bay Gelding.

Rory has done and still does all Pony Club Activities (he absolutely loves them).

Hunted in and taken part in Unaffiliated Competitions (recently)

He loves farm rides and is always snaffle mouthed.

He will hack alone or company and is good in heavy traffic.

Rory is a little sensitive and forward going so is looking for a competent and experienced home.

He would suit a pony club home for someone wanting to go and have fun with him.

He will travel on a lorry or trailer but does need a companion as he does stress if on his own. With work and experience he can easily overcome this and we’ve already been practicing the last 3 months and each times he gets better.

He's up to date with vaccinations, dentist, etc.

Front Shod and great with the farrier.

No stables vices.

Easy to catch.

We are on the same yard as his previous owners who had him for 8 years who are also happy to answer any questions as we've only owned him 7 Months.

Honest Reason for sale is not having enough time. We have always part loaned and realised full ownership is something we are struggling with and we have to admit defeat.

  • Hard decision to find my beloved pony a new home.

Billy is a 14.2Hh, 16yo connemara. A fantastic PC/allrounder for a young rider or a serious 80cm jumper for a competent jockey.

I've owned Billy for 7 years, during this time he's done pretty much most things. Beach rides, dressage, sj, ode's, hunting, PC camps, rallys etc.

Billy's a super show jumper, very careful and loves a twisty jump off. He regularly wins or places at competitions 70&80 but he will also calmly pop over 60cm course, ideal pony for the whole family to learn on. Has won ODE's at 70&80 and always has a score to count in teams.

I've done plenty of dressage with him up to Novice and has won at Prelim BD. Will do a very pretty test, normally scoring high 60%s and usually brings home a rosette.

Hes qualified for pc regionals for all three disciplines multiple times at 70&80. Whilst out on full loan with a young rider he was selected to represent the south East as part of 80 youth championship team after winning & placing at BE80u18 level. He represented Hampshire at the British Showjumping academy national championship, placed 3rd individually in the NAF pony 2* 2024 and placed 3rd in the 1* the year prior.

Good to hack in company or by himself. Has hunted with me (small adult) and experienced child.

Good to clip, load, box, shoe etc

Will come with tack & full wardrobe.
Really hard decision so serious enquiries only. More pictures & videos on request, please message on whatsapp, no calls.

Price negotiable to the right home.

Darling Seren is your ultimate school mistress, she has been there , done that bought the T Shirt, an experienced pony club pony that has participated in all pc activities over the years.

She loves her jumping and is totally unphased by any fillers, she will trot or canter to her fences in a polite fashion is not silly or strong, she is ridden in a snaffle for all disciplines.

Seren is really fun to hack, and is happy alone and in company and is good in traffic and open spaces.

Easy to do with no drama, Seren is happy living in or out and can be turned out with both mares and geldings., she loads and travels well in both trailers and lorries , and will stand quietly when left on her own.

Seren has been in a long term family home for the past five years and is now very sadly outgrown and without a jockey to continue having fun with, she comes with her tack (decent tack) and her rugs, so she has everything you need to just kick on!

Lots of videos available on our facebook page and also viaWhatsApp.
