Thistledown San Siro (Rocky) needs no introduction. He is without a doubt one of the top, most successful, genuine and consistent Welsh Section A’s in the country. His results speak for themselves and have been more than we could have ever dreamed of, winning HOYS and Royal International multiple times and taking 5 champions.

Writing this advert is one of the most difficult things I have ever done, and as many people know I have been putting this off for a couple of years. He has been the most amazing pony for us and a true rock for our family taking both children who had never competed at HOYS, from Lead Rein and First Ridden to the Junior and Open classes. We purchased him after HOYS 2019 hoping the children would be able to qualify and ride at HOYS; but he has gone above and beyond making their dreams come true. Rocky has enabled them to win at both HOYS and the Royal International Horse Show in a variety of classes and 4 championships. The children have always been the only ones to school him, and not only has he made our children’s dreams come true, they have produced him from home for the past 5 seasons including producing him to win the M&M First Ridden and Mini Champion at HOYS in 2023 and then he took another young child to HOYS again in 2024.

He is the ultimate schoolmaster, with the most amazing temperament. He is the most genuine pony taking our children to RI and HOYS with the upmost of safety and without an adult to ride/lunge him. This is such a difficult advert to write and as many people know, he is a huge part of our family and truly loved. However, he is only 14 and we would prefer him not to spend the rest of his days unridden in the field. He loves the varied life we give him on the farm and is used to farm animals and machinery. Rocky enjoys competing, hacking around the farm, pole work, and even mounted games! We have always treated Rocky as a fun pony and the children have shared him taking part in different classes at the shows where he has often gone from opens, to juniors to first ridden and vice versa, with a quick change of jockey and bridle. Rocky has also taken part in the working hunter classes winning the novice M&M cradle stakes and open M&M cradle stakes at the BSPS Summer Championships as well as narrowly missing qualifying for the Junior M&M WHP at HOYS being on equal marks with the winner. However, we feel he prefers the flat classes to the WHP classes.

He has had countless Supremes, Champions and wins including winning most of the major county shows in either FR, Juniors, or Open A’s. Rocky has the most beautiful head, movement and lots of bone, being a true stamp of a Welsh Section A and is well known for his faultless displays in the ring. He has enabled our daughter to win the Black Country Saddles Rider of the Year in 2020 and our son to be selected for the final of Showman of the Year in 2022 , as well as winning the Lemieux Consistency Award in the First Ridden and Juniors in 2021 and being nominated for the Showing World Awards Native Pony of the Year in 2022 and 2023.

We would like to lease/sell Rocky only to a suitable home on conditions he returns to us to retire, homes will be vetted . This is truly the most heartbreaking sale/lease and we would like to offer help and advice to the next family in order to give another child the treasured and amazing memories Rocky has given us.

Williams Lad - One of the best JC ponies in the country

This is the hardest thing I have ever had to write as Will has been the the most incredible pony I have ever had the pleasure of owning- sadly due to my daughters time on ponies coming to an end we are reluctantly offering Will for sale. He is THE most loving, loyal, brave, honest pony and he will only go to a 10* home and if we don’t find that he won’t go. As we do love him so much we would like to be guanranteed first refusal if he does get sold.

Will is the dream pony- absolutely perfect to clip, shoe, catch. He needs a bit of persuasion to get on the lorry and is quite a nervous traveller, nothing nasty just tucks his head into the corner. Perfect to hack alone or in company and truly a dream to do in all ways, not hot headed at all, not strong or silly and completely trustworthy. He is the most loyal and loving pony meaning he looks after anyone who is around him and who rides him, he is also INCREDIBLY intelligent and brave and can fix any sticky situation you get him into unlike any pony I have ever seen. Has the proven ability to jump and win at any height. Will came to our very novice family in early December 2023 for my daughter who hadn’t ridden for two years, never competeted BS or even jumped above 80cm before her final year on ponies and since took her from jumping 80 cm unaff in December to 1.15 Hickstead Quals at Pony Prems in early February, he has made all of her dreams come true jumping multiple clears in HOYS qualifiers, winning POYS GP, jumping and winning 1.15&1.20, qualifying for multiple classes at Bluechip & British Showjumping National Championships. He has amazing flat work flying changes ect and would excel in other disciplines aswell.

2023:

Will jumped triple clear at Bishop Burton Summer Pony Prem Newcomer SRS to take 3rd and qualify for HOYS where he jumped for a super unlucky pole round a testing course with only 5 clears taking 8th place out of 30+. On his first attempt he also jumped triple clear in the Discovery SRS to take 3rd and qualify for the National Championships. At WHPI he jumped a quick Double Clear in the Debut Teams Qual to earn his place on the England Team where he jumped another perfect clear to help England win GOLD. At the National Championships Will jumped another Double clear to take 2nd in an extremely competitive National Discovery Final.

2024:

At POYS Will jumped a perfect DC in the 1.10 Grand Prix to win being the top Novice Pony in the class. At my daughters first ever BS show he qualified for the Sapphire Final at Bluechip Championships, then shortly after he jumped two 1.10 double clears in the same day winning both classes and qualifying for not only the Coral Final at Bluechip Championships but also the winter JC Hickstead quals.
At Bluechip he jumped a perfect clear in the Sapphire Final but didn’t jump the Coral Final as my daughter was very poorly. At Southview Summer Pony Prem he jumped a lovely clear in the HOYS Qual just having an unlucky pole in the second round due to complete rider inexperience. He jumped our first 1.20 in April to jump a perfect clear and take the win in a competitive class after jumping clear and 2nd in the 1.15 beforehand , he then continued his perfect streak and in the following week jumped 2x DC in a full up 1.10 & 1.15 to take the win in both classes. He dominated the silver league 2024 standing at the top until his break in September.

Minor blip in record towards the end of summer due to undetected ulcers that have been treated and all healed now. Happy to discuss this further but genuine reason for his tiny blip.
Never bucks, rears, bolts, bites- the kindest most genuine pony that I genuinely believe would die for the people around him, puts his rider before himself and tries his whole heart out. The most incredibly special pony one that only comes around once in a lifetime. I truly cannot speak highly enough of him, he leaves everyone smiling inside and outside of the ring no matter what- he is clear round machine who wants to win just as much as his rider if not more. As parent it is so comforting and reassuring to know my child is being looked after no matter what in every situation. The things Will has been able to achieve with my very novice daughter are miraculous, he is the most special pony I have ever come across. He is so adjustable, changing himself to fit his rider and is an automatic pony that backs himself up on a short stride and lengthens himself on a long one. He is extremely honest and is more than happy to chip in to save his rider and is unfazed by mistakes- he doesn’t hold a grudge, you could get him wrong over and over again but he still won't stop, he knows his job and does it exceptionally well. Substantial price required for this one of a kind pony. Mid 5 figures. Dozens of videos available on request, please no timewasters or joy riders as this is a heartbreaking sale as it is. Tack is included. Please call or text 07535547702

Little introduction needed - Durley Hall Medici. 128 cm JA, 15 yr old Top track gold league pony

Heartbreaking sale of our beloved pony Joey, who wins everyone hearts over! We purchased Joey in 2022 as a first pony for our son who was a complete novice from pony club/lead rein level to start unaffiliated with. With a glittering history with previous owners we didn’t hesitate and what an amazing journey we have been on, now he is ready to do that again with another small jockey!

Starting out through the stepping stones level, we quickly collected numerous clears and placings and slowly progressed through the levels to win our first major Grand Prix at South View in the 11&unders final where we realised this pony is going to be very special! Never coming home without a rosette, we went onto winning the Onley grounds Grand Prix in the winter . That season we stepped up another level with a relatively novice jockey still and won the winter royal international qualifier at Onley indoors to qualify for the final, going clear all 3 rounds!

Consistently jumped the HOYS qualifiers all year for such an unlucky 4 faults again through nerves from the rider and learning at this level but this pony always went through the start and finish, and this was a decent score given the tough tracks throughout the summer premiers. We eventually gained our HOYS 2024 ticket .

At HOYS Joey was amazing he went clear and into the jump off in both his and Freddie debut at HOYS, couldn’t have asked for a better pony to experience it all with. Qualified for London Interantional Horse Show December 2024.

Selected for England home pony teams 2024 jumping 2 x double clear, getting his jockey his England badge.

So many people can vouch for this pony who jumps out of pure heart for the job, very sound and correct and enjoys being a normal pony hacking through the forest. Not a mad type and will educate the smallest of jockeys the ranks of British showjumping. Honest, kind and straightforward ride. Quick in a jump off and loves to be competitive! Always aims to help his riders out and just a pure pleasure to take out and own.Rider now out of 128’s.

Good trial facilities, hundreds of videos from starting out to top level available and references from professional trainers. Based Gt Hallingbury, Hert
