BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT

  • A beautiful person on the ground with manners to burn
  • The perfect prospect to register BS and get out winning this summer

CHARLIE 14.1 rising 9 year old Welsh gelding.

I don’t even know where to start! This pony is utterly fantastic. Beautiful inside and out, no lumps bumps or vices, tough and sound. He is lovely on the flat and has an enormous amount of scope and adores his jumping. Has been XC and on many farm rides, he absolutely loves it. He loves hacking alone and in company, he also rides and leads. Lives in or out, as long as he has food he is happy and settled.

Charlie is ultra careful and very quick, currently popping around 1.10 with scope and has been done to death unaffiliated. He is the perfect prospect to register BS and get out winning this summer. Charlie’s full brother is currently jumping 1.20s in Holland and I would be very surprised if I didn’t see him at HOYS one day.

Charlie is a little sensitive and forward but safe - he has never bucked reared or spun in his life and does not have a nappy bone in his body, although he can be spooky. He is a lot more woah than go, by no means suitable for a novice and is not a first or second pony, he is a competition pony through and through. He needs a child with the correct support who wants to get out and win and loves jumping as much as he does. He jumps far better with a kid on board and much prefers being piloted by little people, therefore it is time for him to find his next home.

He is a beautiful person on the ground with manners to burn, a true pet who likes being brushed by tiny children. Loads on anything including a trailer, excellent to clip and shoe. He has been a companion on the lorry and all sorts, he is just a thoroughly good boy who has been a delight to own. If he was bigger I would never sell him.

I have had him for a few years now, he was broken by myself and know him inside and out. I am extremely fond of him and a good kind home is important. I would love to follow him and come and watch him at shows.

Strictly no time wasters day trippers or tyre kickers, this sale is difficult enough as it is.

Please call for more information and provide a video of your child riding when enquiring so I can assess suitability.

Faras Jolie is exceptionally talented, bred out of the famous l,arc de triomphe. Tinks has all the qualities needed to be a top track pony she has scope to burn and is quick in a jump off.

Tinks has proved herself up to 1.25 level and would be suitable for a competitive rider or looking to give top tracks a go next year or a rider also jumping top tracks that wanted to add a new flashy addition to jump tinks also would suit a rider that needs to learn more round 1.10 level as she is happy to step down and back up.

Tinks has the nicest, kindest temperament in the stable where she is happy to get clipped, shod, brushed. Not once has she ever put her ears back, tried to bite or kick she shows no signs of being mareish whatsoever and loves to be fussed.

Previously tinks has missed out qualifying for hoys by 1 in the newcomer, has qualified newcomer masters and foxhunter masters twice with 2 different riders. Tinks went clear in the first round in the foxhunter second round just missing out qualifying. Tinks also qualified the jc final for royal highland where she came 3rd at the final and she qualified the 148 final at royal highland being one of few to qualify both.

Tinks also qualified for the jc winter final at the main ring hickstead coming 3rd in the qualifier and placing 8th at hickstead
. She also won the debut teams at southview.

This pony will give someone such fun and win rosette's galore! Stunning 13hh Welsh section B chestnut Gedling.

3 well balanced paces and works beautifully on the flat. Absolutely loves to jump, will jump anything out on the XC course, water, ditches. SJ at home 70cm with lots of scope. Sam wants to please and loves his job, he is a perfect competition pony.

He would also be a great pony club pony and we have shown him locally. Fantastic to hack, traffic, open fields.

Sam would like a competent and capable jockey as he likes you to get on and do the job, he's such an athlete and will keep giving more.

He's great to clip, farrier, load etc and has a full clean bill of health.

Selling as I brought for my daughter after her lead rein pony but she's a nervous rider and would be better suited to a plod. She will ride him but he's wasted with us doing very little, I would love to see him go to a home that will embrace his talents. My friend's daughter has been riding him shown in videos and he's a total dream!

Stunning chestnut mare with flaxen mane and tail, eye catching walk with an outstanding trot.

Honey has a sweet, kind personality who loves to please, excellent with the farrier, good to catch, trim, bath and in everything we have done since owning her.

Slowly and correctly lightly backed over the winter months, hacking out on the lane, with very little fazing her.

Purchased as a winter project and I would not be selling other than my daughter (rider) being in a road traffic accident recently and now unable to ride for an unknown amount of time.

I feel she will she will make a top class whp or ridden pony, real look at me presence

Due to honeys age and her only being lightly backed she isn’t currently suitable for any novices or children, with our current situation she is now out of ridden work.

Unfortunately the time has come to find Cheeto a new jockey. He is an 11 year old 11.2hh chestnut gelding with no recorded breeding.

We have owned him for the past 2 and a half years and he is my youngest daughter’s pride and joy. She has done everything with him. He is a proper little all rounder from doing ODE, SJ, XC schooling, pony club camp, PC rallies, beach rides & the gallops. He is confident up to 60cm.

He is the character of the yard being a typical cheeky pony but is always handled and cared for by my daughter.

This is a very sad sale purely due to being outgrown and he is too good a pony and too young to become a field ornament. He is not a novice ride so definitely more of a second pony. He is very responsive to the leg and forward to ride. Not a kick along. He is not naughty just quite strong for a little pony and takes some getting used to.

He schools nicely in all 3 paces. He is great to hack alone and in company and is happy to lead the ride unfazed by traffic, sheep, tractors etc. He can also be easily led from another horse if needed and is not bothered by sticking to their side.

He is currently barefoot and copes fine without shoes. His perfect to load, clip, trim, bath & groom all done by my daughters.

Up to date with jabs & teeth. No vices and comes with all tack & rugs.

Before I continue this pony is very fast and forward. She is extremely safe in every way and environment but loves to go fast. Suit a kid that wants to get on with it and have fun not a nervous learner.

She has given her 10 year old rider so much enjoyment and is now sadly outgrown. She loves to jump. Excellent to hack alone or in company. Not phased by how big the Lorrie’s or tractors are we having been making her nanny the 3year old we are breaking in out hacking she is so solid out hacking. She has been on the busiest hunt meets and behaved exceptionally. She is very genuine and really looks after her rider.

Turns out with mares or geldings. Happy to be stabled too. The kids do everything with her on the ground she is very loving. Good with our crazy dogs. Good to clip and trim has always been barefoot with no issues.

Lots of videos on request.

  • Confident & forward-going – loves to work but needs a competent rider to guide him.

Duncan is a 13.1hh, 12-year-old Dun gelding with a heart of gold and a playful, affectionate nature. He thrives on attention, loves a good cuddle, and always has his ears forward, ready for the next adventure. He’s a real character with a cheeky but kind personality, making him a joy to have around.

Riding & Performance
Duncan is fast, forward, and responsive, making him not suitable for a novice but an exciting ride for a capable rider. He enjoys schooling and works well in the arena, showing great potential when ridden correctly.

Jumping
He has jumped up to 90cm at home but is strong and fast towards fences, requiring a confident and experienced rider to keep him balanced. He’s bold, enthusiastic, and loves his jumping but needs someone who can channel his energy.

Hunting & Pony Club
In his previous home, he was mainly used for hunting, proving to be brave and forward-thinking. While we haven’t had the chance to hunt him ourselves, he has attended loads of Pony Club rallies, lessons, arena hires, and Pony Club camp, always giving his best.
Hacking
Good to hack out but much happier in company than alone. He enjoys exploring but benefits from a buddy to keep him feeling secure.

Handling & Care
Duncan is an easy-doer and a pleasure to have on the yard. He is:
Barefoot – has strong, healthy feet and is good for the farrier.
Easy to load & travel – whether in a trailer or lorry.
A pleasure to handle – great to groom, tack up, and fuss over.

The Perfect Home
Duncan is a much-loved pony, and we are looking for the right home where he will be cherished and enjoyed. He would suit a confident, capable rider who enjoys a forward-going pony with plenty of personality. Staying in touch is essential, as he means the world to us.

This is a very sad sale of a much loved pony. Sid has given my son so much fun and really taught him how to ride. Sid can turn his hoof to anything:-
*XC machine, show jumping (competing 70/80) Team chase, ODE's, local shows, PC rallies & camps, NSEA, Arena eventing, hunter trials, beach rides, hacks alone & in company - he really is a supercob! Qualified for PC mini champs last year show jumping and always in the rosettes. He would be great hunting prospect although we haven't done so, he has with previous owners.

Sid is a forward but safe ride therefore would not be suitable for a novice or nervous rider, he is better suited to a confident rider who wants to get on and get the job done at a decent pace. His real love is jumping competing at 70/80cm and is an absolute machine at XC, never refuses a fence with a good controlled pace. He excels in both these disciplines but can get very excited. He has jumped 1.10cm at home.

Sid is good to load, infact will load himself he is so keen, good for the farrier, good with traffic, never sick or sorry, no history of laminitis, turned out in a mixed herd, doesn't buck, rear or bolt, up-to-date with vaccines, worming & dentist. Do not be put off by his age as he has so much more to give, if I thought he could retire to a field then I would but he would be miserable and has so much more to give. He has sadly been outgrown by my 14 year old son, who has also lost interest in riding.

The not so good bits - Sid does need sedating to clip him, however you can hog him without. He would benefit from being turned out in a small paddock as catching him in a large space is not always easy until he gets to know and trust you. However this is reflected in his price along with not having a very enthusiastic rider anymore.

This really is a very sad sale and he will only be going to a five * home. Good trial facilities. Taunton Vale PC DC is happy to chat to any prospective purchasers. This is a honest ad as I want him to be in a forever home. No dealers. Video's on request.

Sid has been professionally bitted by Charlotte Warman and saddle fitted. Tack will be included for this reason.

Genuine second pony with lots of character and lots of love to give his next little person, he has hacked alone and in company, attended pony club activities such as endurance rides and arena event training, he has been to show jumping competitions and always comes home with a rosette and he has attended various different shows and qualified for STARS two years running and he has potential to go further in what ever discipline required.

He will stand in the show ring all day long, he loves jumping but does need a confident rider to give him confidence but once this partnership is established there will be no stopping them !!!

He stands for the farrier, loads well and travels very well, he is excellent to handle on the yard and in the stable, he has never bitten or kicked, he can sometimes be a bit cheeky to catch but never nasty.

He is a second pony as he can be quite forward and does need riding but everything you would want from a second pony, that is why we bought him but sadly my daughter has outgrown him.

He would however walk on lead rein if desired.

He is always in the ribbons and a 10 star home is a must as he is extremely loved and we would love to stay in touch to follow his progress.

He is still young at 6 years old so will excel even further in the right home.

Cookie is a fun, forward going 2nd Pony.

She has attended all PC Rallies, competitions and had regular lessons with our main instructor. She is fit and ready to go, never sick or sorry. She has excellent manners and is handled by our petite 8 year old daughter who brings her in from the field, grooms her, tacks her up (standing on a box to reach!) she has even helped Clip her and bath her. She also loads her when we go out and about

She hacks alone and in company, is bombproof in heavy traffic, in fact she regularly collects her rider from school and is not fussed by school buses and busy school pick up traffic. She is ridden in open spaces over Bredon Hill and is polite and has brakes. Good to ride and lead.

We bought Cookie to allow our daughter to progress from a very steady first Pony to independently riding and jumping courses.

She has done a brilliant job and now needs to find her next jockey to make that transition from a first Pony to a sportier model! She will come with a full wardrobe and we would like to stay in touch. Lots of photos and videos on request

This little mare is a genuine little pony that you can have loads of fun on.

She has always been sensible and has never got fizzy or up tight. She has no malice or ill intentions.

She is an excellent hacking pony, great in open fields, good when in a group (6 of us) or just my 2 daughters hacking together.

She is competitive and genuine at Show jumping and is currently jumping 70cm and 80cm, she is quick and easy to turn in the jump off. She has won lots of classes and had won loads of rosettes.

She has Never bucked or done anything naughty and you can leave her weeks and just tack up, get on and go off on a hack, etc.

She has hunted, been to pony club etc.

I'm sure she would be a good little games pony.

Great in all kinds of traffic and is ridden on the bus route.

She is schooling up to 90cm with ease at home. Won and placed SJ. Done PC camps, rallies, WHP, showing, SJ, XC, pleasure rides, opening meets with the hunt.

2022 qualified to Stars at Aintree. Behaved impeccably and finished 10th.

She is a gorgeous pony and has taught my son so much. Although he started riding her when he was 5 yrs old, Rosie is not suitable as a first pony. She does occasionally buck.

Has EMS but doesn't require medication, just restricted grazing.

Lovely little David - What an absolute little star. As well as being utterly adorable to look at

David is a complete saint to ride and look after. He is regularly handled by a small nervous 7yo girl. she can catch him by herself, lead him all around the garden, brush him and feed him completely un assisted. This super little chap never makes a fuss and is calm and kind at all times.

He is a wonderful little lead rein pony with manners to burn. Ideal to teach any little jockey. Also rides nicely off of the lead rein has 3 eye catching paces and would undoubtedly turn heads in the show ring. Happily pops round a small course of cross poles, slowly and steadily.

Super safe out on the roads, in heavy traffic and open spaces. Very low maintenance, happily lives in or out with mares and geldings. Good with dogs, farm machinery and most importantly, loves children.

Absolutely no vices

100% shoe box catch clip

We have owned George for 4 years. He has taught my daughter so much and introduced her to compete in several disciplines.

He has not been over campaigned with us, therefore is ready for someone who may well want to compete BSPS, Nursery stakes, M&M WHP, NSEA.

Previously competed in Ireland.

Good to do in all ways. currently fairly out of work due to rider being at boarding school. Has had lami once, recovered well and just manage his grass intake in summer.

We are open to LWVTB (approved home only) or to be sold due to being totally outgrown and new pony purchased.

Serious enquiries only as this is a sad sale of a much loved pony.

Superb all rounder - SJ/Dressage/PC/Showing 11.3 Welsh A rising 11 - Brynrodyn Diplomat

We have owned Dippy for almost 6 years and have had a lot of fun with him in showjumping, dressage, showing, combined training and arena eventing. He has jumped up to 70-75cm at home but mostly competes at 60cms at the shows.

He is a super and much loved pony who will be someone's best friend and has a typical Welsh character, but is loving and kind, good to catch, load, clip and bath. He turns out on his own or with others.

Dippy loves hacking out and is very good in traffic. He is ridden around the bridleways and lanes at home and has met tractors, motorbikes and lorries, but is not fazed by any of it.

Dippy is looking for an experienced home with a rider who wants to go and have fun and is a versatile pony who will turn his hoof to anything. My daughter started out on the lead rein with him, and he was her first pony off, but is probably more of a second pony, as he can be a little forward to begin with.

He is up to date with teeth, vaccinations, physio, worming and farrier.

This is an incredibly sad sale, but my daughter is just too tall for him now. We are looking for an experienced home who will love him as much as we do, but please no timewasters.

Honest advert

11.2h 19 year old gelding with low mileage. Very forward going, attractive and quality pony who was bought for my 5 (now 6 year old daughter) to follow on from a very safe first ridden type. Unfortunately as we have done more and more with him, it has become apparent that he is ‘more’ pony than my little jockey is going to be able to cope with, and he is also greener than we anticipated (despite being 19 this year!). He is a free moving and forward going pony, particularly in open spaces, he is not however, hot or fizzy.

A 16 hand horse in an 11.2 body, we have had a 10 year old boy from Pony Club riding him instead which has been a real success! He’s been to loads of Pony Club rallies and some showjumping competitions with him. It was a surprise to us how green he has been, but he HAS been very rewarding to work with, really improving with every session he has had. The showjumping that we’ve done he’s been well placed every time despite not actually really doing a jump off, because he canters smoothly around the course and he just covers the ground, he does not rush his fences. In his last outing he was 2nd and 1st in the two classes he competed in.

So, who would he suit? An experienced family looking for a quality pony for an smaller older child, 8/9/10 years old to go and have some fun on. He is good to hack both in company and on his own, and he also rides and leads really well, both from a horse and a bike!

He’s been jumping 40/50cm and has scope to go on, but he does need more outings at these lower heights to build his confidence and so he’s seen more of the world, he is still green with fillers. This rider needs to be happy for him to go forwards, and indeed be prepared to ride him forwards, and also generous with him where he still shows inexperience. He would be best suited to regular work.

I do think that he could make the most fantastic gung ho hunting pony for a gusty rider, although I don’t expect he’s done any hunting & he certainly hasn’t with us.

Although he’s busy to handle, he’s fundamentally quiet & my 6 year old can do things with him such as lead him in from the field. He doesn’t kick & the kids can play around him. He is very bonny in the field and is very sweet, sometimes cantering over to see us. We’ve done quite a bit on the lead rein with him & he hasn’t put a foot wrong, but we want a pony to ride off the lead rein.

Ifeel like I’ve said a lot of negative things about him, but he is a really smart pony. My daughter needs a different pony inbetween her first ridden and this pony so she can gain experience on & unfortunately this just isn’t him. I would be tempted to keep him, but my husband has a limited tolerance for what would be a third pony for my two small children.

Home is more important than price, homes will be vetted. It is important for me to find a good match as I really want this pony to be happy in a new home

Little Ted is a rising 9 Welsh Part-Bred gelding who is 11.3.

Teddy thrives on having fun and has many wins at 80/85cm unaffiliated, but has jumped 1m at home. He is very neat and quick in a jump off beating the bigger ponies, doesn't mind fillers and rarely has a pole

Teddy loves life, cross country, arena eventing, showjumping and the beach and would make a fantastic BS starter pony/PC pony. He has also won all his medals showing in-hand as a youngster and would also trim up for plaited workers/SHP.

We have owned Teddy since he was 3 and he good to handle, clip, trim, bath, catch etc. He is barefoot and never had sweetitch or lami, loves a cuddle, is a pleasure to own and a big part of our family.

Teddy would like a little jockey to have more fun with as he is hopelessly outgrown. He is not a kick along but not silly, and he does not buck or rear. He is ridden in a snaffle and is well-schooled on the flat. Ted is not a first pony and would not be suitable for a child still learning to ride, but would be perfect for a child who likes to go out and have fun.

Please be honest about your child's ability as I will be asking for videos before viewings and I will be honest and tell you if I think they will be suited.

No loans, offers, trials or people wanting a day out trying a well known pony. More videos on request.
