  • Non ridden companion
  • Inquisitive character

This adorable chestnut filly has recently arrived into our care and is settling in beautifully at the centre. Marmalade is a sweet natured little pony with a gentle heart and a playful spirit.

She is still young and has ongoing training needs in all areas of her handling, so she will require an experienced and quiet home that can offer her the patience and consistency she needs to thrive.

Due to her petite size, Marmalade would be best suited as a companion to shetlands or small ponies, ideally with other young ponies who can grow and play alongside her. Her curious and friendly personality would make her a wonderful addition to the right family.

If you think you can offer Marmalade the loving and supportive home she deserves, please get in touch with us. Let’s help this little orange gem shine!

Maisie has been with us for 4 years and in that time has taken my son from competing in local shows to winning at National level.

He has handled her from the age of 9. She is good to do in all ways,catch/load/clip/bath/lunge/hack

We have done everything with her from beach rides and pony club/BD camps to National finals.

She is a forward ride with a big stride , riding more like a horse than a pony. Beautifully schooled, she always catches the judges eye.

She is also very good on the lead rein and lunge for small child but NOT first ridden.

Now totally outgrown, we are looking for a forever home for her where she can have a varied life,be loved and continue to shine.

Priced at fraction of her value to secure her future, LWVTB or lease is an option. Home is the main priority and we want to ensure that she is settled.

Due to own 8 year old rider needing more time I am cautiously offering Milky (Wytchwood Milky Bar Kid ) for loan he would be available for either one season or 2 maximum. He has only very recently been backed and currently being ridden away therefore only available to experienced knowledgeable and kind home , where his education will carry on in the correct way. Has been shown inhand at high level with great success.

This pony is without doubt going to be one of the best 13h hunter ponies on the show scene over the next few years, his limb and cadence and extraordinary colour and conformation set him apart from the usual bay ponies , his amazing halted step walk and huge trot means he will easily hold his own in part bred classes. Being out of the late Deanhills Squirrel Nutkin and by Hoys champion Welsh B Carrwood Shimmering Gold his breeding speaks for itself, bred by myself as future pony for my nieces baby girl there is no possibility of this pony being sold , we just feel he is a big step up for my goddaughter who was to ride him until Millie is ready for him, he rides much bigger than 13 hands, however if no suitable home is found we shall carry on steadily ourselves .

Please feel free to call me to discuss further, however please don't ask for endless videos of him working as I just don't have them and as said previously he is just being ridden away and the recent terrible weather has stopped us making the progress we had hoped, but I am aware people are getting ready for the current season hence this advert now. up to date vaccinations and teeth.

  • Looking for a safe, steady and sensible 1.5-type pony
  • Must be very consistent jumping up to 50/60cm
  • Kind, knowledgeable 5* home and very healthy budget for the right pony
Looking for the next pony for my tall 9-year old daughter, Olivia, to be used for all low-level Pony Club activities, local show-jumping, NSEA grassroots, as well as general hacking, lessons and fun. Olivia is a fairly competent rider (can canter without stirrups and jump 45cm courses) but not that confident so we are looking for a steady, sensible safe confidence-giver - a 1.5 type pony. Pony must:

- Be at least 8 years old (the older the better - we love a golden oldie)
- Be an old hand at Pony Club
- Be more kick than pull
- Be very consistent jumping up to 50cm/60cm (dirty stoppers need not apply)
- Be very safe and sensible out hacking in open spaces
- Have no ridden vices that would scare a fairly nervous child (absolutely no bucking, rearing, spinning, bolting, napping)
- Have a nice rhythmical canter and not pull into jumps
- Have a reference from a Pony Club DC or instructor

We are happy to provide videos of Olivia riding and references (including from Pony Club and owners of ponies we have loaned previously).

We appreciate that there are not many ponies available at this time of year and don’t mind waiting a few months for the right one, so even if you are not planning to sell until the spring, please do get in touch.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Tina is conformationally best suited to a non-ridden lifestyle. She thrives in a relaxed environment where she can enjoy companionship and love without the demands of riding. Tina would do best in a home with a calm and confident handlers; someone experienced with young horses who can help her continue to learn and grow on the ground. She would still enjoy walks in hand or even horse agility.

Tina enjoys the company of other horses and would thrive as part of a small herd. Tina loves human interaction and will happily be your go-to grooming buddy. Tina is in good health and is a wonderful mare with lots of love to give.

Meet Bill, a charming cob gelding looking for a dedicated and loving new home! Bill is a gentle, small cob who has great potential as a companion or future riding pony for a child. He’s best suited for a quiet, experienced home where his needs can be attentively met.

Bill has had a laminitis flare-up in the past, so proactive weight management is essential. He thrives on a carefully planned part-stabled routine with restricted grazing or a track system. He may benefit from wearing boots as he gradually starts light work to help support his feet.

Initially a little nervous, Bill needs a patient and understanding handler to help him build trust and settle in. With the right support, he will come out of his shell and show his sweet, willing nature. Bill is sociable with both mares and geldings and would make a great addition to a mixed herd.

Bill is a long-term project pony, ideal for someone who enjoys slow and steady progress. While he has the potential for light work with children, it is not a necessity. He would be more than happy to provide companionship to similar sized aged ponies or even potential as a non-ridden therapy pony.

If you think you can offer Bill the gentle and balanced lifestyle he needs, he will repay you with companionship and gradual, rewarding development.

Easy to do, hacks alone or in company. Has done lots of competing, SJ XC dressage, pony club, hunter trials, hunting, fun rides and beach rides. He loves jumping and He gets very excited and can be strong which is why he is not for a novice!

He is good in traffic, to shoe load and clip although he doesn’t like his ears clipped!

He would suit a mother daughter share, pony club home or happy hacking home but he needs to keep busy!
He prefers company in the barn, he is always first to be turned out as he doesn’t like to be left alone, although he is fine in the field alone.

He is for loan only I would consider selling to the right home

Here is Morgan, my much loved 12hh Welsh Section A pony. He is 7 years old and I've owned him since he was about 6 months.

Was in training earlier this year with lightweight adult and very good with the children too.

Has since been on loan with 7 year old child proving to be good with schooling, out hacking and on the ground.
Unflappable type of temperament. Seen farm tractors regularly.

Nice paces and more whoa than go. Easy to look after, travels well, easy to catch, trim, no health issues.

Since he is registered Welsh Section A and has good breeding and confirmation he should do well in LR or M& M classes.

Unfortunately I have no small rider so I hope to find someone with whom he can do some show classes and hopefully pony club too.

Loan considered to the right home.

Companion Pony - Bailey

Bailey is a striking piebald cob mare looking for her forever family as a non-ridden companion. With her distinctive black-and-white coat and kind eyes, Bailey is sure to capture the hearts of those who understand her gentle yet reserved nature. She may take a little time to warm up, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into a devoted friend.

Initially, Bailey can be a touch reserved as she adjusts to new surroundings, but once she feels safe and secure, her affectionate side begins to shine through. She’s a horse that thrives on trust, and those who offer her the time and understanding she needs will be rewarded with a deep and lasting bond.

As a cob, Bailey requires attentive management of feather mites, a common condition that needs regular attention to keep her comfortable and healthy. She will do best with an adopter who is knowledgeable or willing to learn about her specific needs and can provide the consistent care she deserves.

Bailey enjoys grooming and appreciates the gentle touch of a caring hand. While she’s generally cooperative, she is still working on feeling more at ease with picking out her feet and visits from the farrier. An adopter with the patience to continue her training in these areas will help her build confidence and trust.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, kind-hearted mare with a gentle soul and are ready to offer her the patience and care she needs, Bailey is waiting to find her perfect home.

Can you give Bailey a loving new home?

Wilbury is a rising 14-year-old, 14.2hh handsome coloured cob gelding who has been a cherished part of our family for the past 7 years.

He has enjoyed a varied life, having been lightly competed in dressage and showjumping, and he has taken part in numerous Pony Club activities. Wilbury is a real character with a lovable personality, thriving on attention and affection.

While he is a joy to have around, Wilbury needs a confident and experienced rider who can match his vibrant character. He is great to handle, including for farrier visits, catching, loading, and traveling.
