Major is a super smart 15.1h 5 year old, skewbald Irish Cob gelding. With me on sales livery on behalf of his owner who sadly doesn’t have the time for him now she is busier with her job. He is very much an old head on young shoulders. He is a lovely quality size and stamp making him a great for both adults and teenagers to ride. He definitely catches the eye where ever he goes with his striking looks and his honest kind eye. He has excellent conformation, straight movement and is blemish free. He is a true low level alrounder/ pleasure horse who puts 100% into everything asked of him and always aims to please. He is the type very hard to find as his temperament is superb and he is very safe and dependable without being a dead kick along.

Major works nicely in the school, he has 3 correct balanced paces and is light in the hand. He is a comfortable ride with a nice stride. He is a lovely medium speed who is easy to get going but not at all sharp off the leg, hes a very simple ride. He takes a bit of leg without being a dead kick along so he would suit a wide range of riders including someone coming out of a riding school looking to buy their first horse. He is very unflappable to ride, he doesn’t mind if his rider accidently kicks him or pulls him a bit hard, equally he doesn’t mind if his rider loses their balance. You can do around the world on him as well as riding him bareback and sliding down his bum!

He has good basic schooling but hasn’t been asked to ride in a dressage outline as of yet, but you could easily school him up to do a smart dressage test. He is snaffle mouthed for everything and not at all strong. He has been ridden by a range of different riders from novices to more experienced riders. He is a safe sensible ride who is very willing and trainable, he gives his rider confidence.

Major enjoys doing polework. He hasn’t done much jumping due to his owners choices but he will happily pop over a cross pole and jump a log out hacking. Hes not a showjumper but hes a very genuine willing boy that will have a go. Hes done a small bit of cross country in his previous home in Ireland which he enjoyed.

Major happily hacks out alone and in company. He is good in traffic. He is great in open spaces. He is not the spooky type. He is a very fun safe ride who gives his rider confidence. He has been on long 10 mile hacks and pleasure rides where he has crossed rivers, jumped logs, crossed bridges etc all in a calm manner. He has also been to the beach and went in the sea and was a star all day long giving his riders so much fun! He would be a great pleasure horse/ happy hacker to have hours on fun with.

Major has an amazing temperament. He loves people and loves all the attention that he can get. He is always first over to you in the field and is always very friendly. He is a very easy boy to have around, he is excellent in all ways to handle, great to catch, shoe, bath, load ect. He will stand for hours to be brushed and pampered. He is extremely easy going to have around and doesn’t mind if his routine is changed, he is happy to be in our out alone or in company. He is a real yard favourite and always puts a smile on your face as he is a big personality.

Major must go to a 10* home where he will be loved and cherished. He would make an excellent low level alrounder. He would also be well suited to a hacking/ pleasure ride home.

Looking for a sensible, straightforward, kind allrounder to have fun with an experienced middle aged rider to mostly do clinics, lessons and dressage comps as well as potentially lower level SJ, odes etc.

Must enjoy hacking and be happy to head out alone and with no issues with traffic. Although I have close access to miles of bridleways nearby, I do have to cross a busy road and will meet farm traffic.

Would love a horse that enjoys their work, with an honest jump. Forwards is fine but it’s a no to a really sharp or complicated horse. I ride on my own a lot and I just don't bounce anymore!

In return I can offer a loving, experienced home on my own quiet private yard with excellent facilities and lots of turnout, with just a few other horses for company.

This gorgeous mare is looking for her next jockey through absolutely no fault of her own. Experienced competition home only, Indie is a great all-rounder excelling in every discipline and always in the ribbons.

Completed and double clear at one day events, double clear at arena events, completed BE80 with scope for more and potential to go up the levels. Many unaffiliated showjumping events up to 95cm and clear, various hunter trials, riding club camps, clinics, WH, XC training – you name it she’s been there and done it.

Highlights are qualifying for Blair Castle style jumping in 2024 and completing it with ease, starting her BD career only a few months ago and qualifying for winter Petplans 2025 in both prelim and novice.

Established lateral work and goes very well on the flat, rides a lovely dressage test. Hacks alone or in company, great in traffic, not strong, silly or spooky and never sick or sorry. Great for farrier/dentist etc only needs slight sedation for clipping but with such a thin coat she only needs clipped once a year.

Same home for the last 5 years and full history known, this is extremely hard and genuine reason for a much loved horse, Indie loves jumping but I have fallen in love with dressage. She tries her absolute best and I feel she would be better suited to an all-round home where she can enjoy her jumping.
