I bought this boy unbacked aged 9.5. He was easy to back and get started and I’ve been working with him for two years. It’s time to find him the perfect home because I want to do dressage and his passion is for jumping and galloping!
Berry is a very attractive 15.1hh bay Connie x TB gelding. He is low mileage but with the stature to handle the work.
He’s a lovely boy. Hacks alone or in company, in front or behind, has nannied babies during their backing process.
He has lovely paces and is good in the school but just doesn’t see that circles are all there is to life!
Berry LOVES to jump and in fairness he’s bred to jump. His father is Thornberry.
He’s done a mini ODE (I am a WIMP!) and he loved it and came 3rd. He just romped round the course, and felt so amazing.
He’s been to a good few showjumping shows and a stay away dressage show along with lots of regular dressage.
Chilled about random stuff like climbing on him bareback.
Perfect for farrier, I clip him standing loose in the stable, loads and travels well.
Teeth are done every 6 months, he has regular physio.

Happy for people to come and see him now, though we have some outings planned over the next few weeks with a more confident jumping rider than me for XC schooling, arena event schooling etc and if he stays longer and starts to compete and do well, price will probably rise.

Lottie has been in the family for 6 years, being bought as a 4yo when I was 15. Since then we’ve evented up to novice/ 2* with numerous top 10 placings, and a BE Novice win under her belt. She’s competed at the U18 championships, Open pony club championships and qualified for the novice restricted championships.

She scores consistent low 30s dressage, with more to come in this stage, as she has a very nice set of paces to work with!

Jumping is very much Lottie’s strong suit, and in the 2023 season became quite the double clear machine. She loves her cross country, and in any cross country video is seen looking for the flags before I do!! As she’s been produced entirely by me, she’s pretty used to being put on odd strides etc, so anything goes with this mare!! She very easily produces a clear in the time at novice level, with scope to go further.

Sadly she’s had a very unlucky year, and accompanied by a rider who didn’t have the time to commit to a full event season and being kicked in the field in July, her record this year does not reflect her at all.

While she is very point and shoot to jump, Lottie does have some quirks so requires a soft rider. She would be ideal for someone looking to compete at U18s, or just enjoy themselves at the novice level!!

I have produced Jim slowly and correctly for the last 4 years, he has never been overfaced with his future in mind and has just continued to perform with clear after clear.

A very correct way of going on the flat, easy and trainable. Great to hack alone or in company. We live on a farm and nothing bothers him, big noisy farm machinery, crow scarers, other horses cantering past.

Travels alone or in company and loads well. He’s chilled at stayaway shows and not bothered by atmospheres at big shows. He behaves well left alone on the lorry and everywhere I have taken him.

A real gentleman on the ground. He is the kindest, most loving, easy and fun horse.

I always choose Jim for everything fun I want to do, he won the Bury Farm Bareback challenge this year and I jumped him in an inflatable santa for Christmas last year, he just does it all. Jim really is a one in a million fun, safe and talented horse.
