Gelding preferred, 8-13yrs, 16hh max. Absolutely no vices and quirks. Open to some reasonable medical maintenance as long as disclosed.

Reasonably healthy budget for deserving horse.

Open to various levels of schooling as long as established in 3 basic paces and snaffle ridden. My trainer can take over the next stages of training and further education. The main thing is the forgiving nature to give confidence and look after his rider.

I want to appeal to horse owners who may be reluctant to highlight or mention the docile qualities of their horse as the main selling point. I suspect highlighting such qualities tends to deter buyers willing to spend good money or offer an experienced home. After all, talent and proven capability are ultimately what is judged and rewarded during tests.

I am after what some might call lazy but I look at it as simply opting for the easy life. Some call it boring and dull but I characterise it as predictable and steady. I don't mind a little bit of nudging as long as he is kind and genuine. I don't want a horse that is guaranteed to win rosettes and to go up the levels because they are almost always too sharp and strong for me. World beaters or those with exceptional talent need not apply.

I am appealing specifically to private horse owners who know their horses like no one else and have years of partnership to back up their claims.

• I am 61yo, 5'9" med build, exerienced lady rider (but not as brave as I used to be!)
• I can offer a knowlegable home with fantastic facilities and plenty of turnout

*I have ridden all my life and now I just want something that is safe and sensible. So first and foremost I don't want anything that bucks rears spins or bolts!

*Breed wise I have no preference. Over the years, my daughter and I have had various breeds (my retired horse is an Iberian but he moves like a WB) so I am open to all sorts.

*I can't have anything too small, (I am 5'9") and I don't mind if it's mare gelding or a well behaved stallion.

*I don't want to jump so thats not a requirement but I would like a horse I can hack out by myself and take to clinics in my small lorry (by myself). I am not fused about the competing side of things but maybe the occasional BD show in summer would nice?

*I would like something working at advanced medium as a minimum. In the past I have trained up to PSG/Int1 movements.

*Age? I am not overly concerned. Also anything with medical issues may not be ruled out, as long as I know what I am dealing with, therefore can judge the commitment I am making.

In return I can offer a 10* home with professional support on the ground and a home for life. We are fortunate to be able to keep our horses at home and have our retired ponies and horses still with us! I am happy to provide references and to keep in touch with the sellers. There is a healthy budget for the correct horse.
