2003 (53 Plate) DAF LF 45 150 7.5 Tonne horsebox, 1.6T certified payload

190,200 miles (approx. as still in use). Cream coach-built horsebox. The lorry has a 5-speed manual gearbox, cruise control, a safety retarder for steep hills, seating for 2 in the cab with access through to the living and horse areas, a radio and a tilting cab for easy engine access. Isolator and plug in supplied. The main batteries were replaced less than a year ago and the two leisure batteries are brand new. There is newly replaced automatic split charging from the main batteries and additional wired-in solar trickle charger from 12v plug in cab for constant top-up as well as staying away for extended periods. 12 months MOT, until 31March 2026.

HORSE AREA:

Stalled for 3 large horses with black and cream padded adjustable partitions with new rubber kickflaps and bar style head dividers. Full Aluminium floor horse area covered with rubber matting. There are no storage lockers in front of the horses. It has 4 sliding windows one side and 4 drop-down windows the other, enabling good air circulation. Rug rack, bridle hooks and internal storage locker. Light in horse area. Tie up and haynet tie rings. Safety loading doors. The ramp is spring assisted and can be operated by one person.

LIVING:

Sleeps 4 adults (double on luton and sofa pulls out to a double bed – both are very comfortable. Gas cooker with oven, grill and 4 burners. There is a fold-away sink with running water. The fridge has a freezer compartment. There is a separate bathroom with a portaloo and clothes hanging rail. Several internal cupboards and large storage spaces below sofa. Removeable table which can be stored under the sofa. Recently new dark grey leather-look covers throughout and light pine-look cupboards.
LED lighting throughout living. Lights in bathroom and outside, lighting the steps. Light and airy feel (to both horse area and living); 2 large windows in living with slatted drop-down blinds.

EXTERNAL:

There are multiple lockers and storage areas. One large underfloor storage locker that goes all the way under the living, tack locker containing 2 saddle racks and 6 bridle hooks. Access to the gas bottle, water tank, hook-up and batteries. Plumbed-in hose with pump and multi-way head for showering horses, filling buckets or washing kit.

A reliable, easy and manageable horsebox that we have enjoyed for 4 years and has never let us down. I enjoy driving it and easily manage it on my own. It has been the host of great family memories from training camps and eventing through to stay-away trips to the beach or forest. We are sad to be selling it, but my 2 daughters have both now gone away to university and the horses are either retired or being sold.

It has been well maintained, serviced/managed and MOT every year. Some obvious signs of wear and tear and use but a really good horsebox ready to go out and be a part of someone else's adventures.
