12 year old quality full up 16hh - Ballingowan Flash. Quality ISH gelding by Tinarana Goldwave out of an Errigal Flight mare.

Flash came to us as a newly broken 5 year old having had a couple of runs at EI90/EI100. He’s been in the same home for 7 years bringing his young rider coming off ponies and learning together competing in BE, BS, WH, PC and NSEA. Winner of many working hunters and championships. Flash is also a fabulous hunter and hunted with the Border Hunt and Duke of Buccleuch. His highlights include-

- Double clear round first Intermediate at Alnwick ford 9th 2023.
- Many top 5 placing at Open Novice including wins.

Flash has never been medicated and full vet history can be disclosed. He is straight moving and blemish free and has no vices. Flash is bold and honest to a fence and equally would make a brilliant open tetrathlon horse.

His lateral work is very established and he naturally moves very well, dressage wouldn’t be my daughter’s favourite phase and freely admit she could train more to achieve the marks he’s capable of. Happy for anyone to speak to his well respected coaches.

Flash is low mileage for his age and has plenty left in his tank to progress to 3* with another ambitious talented rider that can give him the time and training he deserves. A long term home is preferred.

Not suited to a nervous rider as he’s very sensitive and responsive to how the rider reacts on top of him.

Well used to farm life and open spaces however needs company in heavy traffic.

Good to shoe, clip, catch and travel and could be an asset to any member of the family as a truly talented, kind all rounder.

Family circumstances and work commitments combined with homebred young stock contribute to this very hard decision to sell Flash so please no time wasters as he will only go where we feel is right for him.
