Kind, fun superstar pony

Kind, fun superstar pony

Paddy - pony club/ hunting superstar in the making! The definition of ‘old head on young shoulders’.
13.1/2, 2021, Chocolate dun gelding.

Hacks alone and in company, fine with all traffic including big tractors and does not get fizzy in open spaces.

Walk, trots, canters in school and is balanced considering his age, a real leg in each corner stamp.

Has popped coloured poles and seen fillers/planks/water trays. Has been XC schooling and was not phased by steps, ditches or water. Is straightforward to a fence and really enjoys the jumping.

Has been shown in hand at a busy agricultural/county show and was unfazed by the busy atmosphere.

Has been on hunt rides/hound exercise with the Grafton and was impeccable in a large group and with hounds.

Brilliantly behaved in every way, considering his age. Can vault on him, ride bareback, do around the world and just generally have fun around him and he takes it all in his stride. He is totally safe, kind and fun and has been ridden by children (6, 10 and 12).

Can give him weeks off here and there, and is completely sane when you get back on.

Good to catch/groom/bath/clip/trim feet and is up to date with vaccinations and worming.

Has travelled on our trailer and loads and travels brilliantly.

Only hogged/clipped as it is my personal preference and we think he looks so smart!

I can’t say he doesn’t spook but given his age he’s not dramatic or malicious, just green.

Endless photos and videos available. Can provide references as to his fabulous behaviour out and about.

He was bought as a project but we would 10000% be keeping him if he was 15hh as he puts a smile on everyone’s face!

Price will increase as he continues being educated!

For Sale – Meg - Liver Chestnut Welsh Section D Mare | 14.2hh | 16 Years Old

Meet Meg, a much-loved family pony who’s looking for her forever home. A stunning 14.2hh liver chestnut Welsh Section D mare, Meg has been part of our family since 2020 and is adored by everyone on the yard for her kind, intelligent nature and calm, friendly presence.

About Meg:
• 16 years old
• Ridden by both children and adults – safe, fun, and forward-going
• Happy to hack alone or in company
• Perfect for pleasure riding, fun rides, and small 50cm jumps
• Super in traffic – used to life on a busy dairy farm
• Easy to handle on the ground and under saddle
• Lives at a livery yard and gets on well with other horses
• Only shod on the front feet
• Comes with tack and a full wardrobe of summer and winter rugs (though as a hardy Welshie, she rarely needs them!)

History:
Meg was a broodmare until the age of 7. She had one previous home before us, where she was a mother-daughter share and took part in pony club activities. With us, she's been a hacking companion and a reliable, safe ride for all the family.
I’m only selling her due to increasing work and family commitments – she deserves more time and attention than I can currently give. I’m in no rush to sell and will happily wait for the right home – one that will love her as much as we do.

Meg’s Ideal Home:
Meg would suit a happy hacking home for a novice or experienced rider looking for a safe, fun pony.

Extras:
• Vet and yard owner references available
• Videos and further photos available on request
• Open to viewings and trial rides
• Located North Somerset

Please get in touch for more information or to arrange a visit. Finding the right home for Meg is our top priority. Contact Annie on 07815734443 if you are interested.??

  • Wonderful temperament, easy for a child to handle completely
  • Loves to Jump, XC, Hunting, Tetrathlon, Gymkhana, Hack, Beach / Hill rides & more

Genuine sale as sadly outgrown.

Gambit was bought as a first pony for our daughter aged 9 (now 12) and has taught her how to ride and more importantly given her a love of horses and a confidence and happiness that only a bond with a pony can give. From day 1 she has looked after him herself - he is really easy to do and very kind in the stable. We go to the beach a lot, ride on open moorland and hills and go to pony club rallies / camps and various NSEA competitions. He competes comfortably from 60 cm to 75 cm and regularly jumps 80-90 with the occasional 1m at home. He is able to make tight turns in a jump off and is much loved at home, PC and on our school equestrian yard.

He loves hunting, XC, showjumping, Tetrathlon, gymkhana and hacking out. He is always keen and never mean, but is definitely a second pony as is forward going. He is always happy to go and do something – we make up random things to do and to jump all the time. Great in every way - load, travel, catch (no headcollar needed), shoe, clip and safe with traffic, loud machinery, dogs and farm animals. He suits a confident and capable rider that loves to jump. He is so patient and sweet natured and will happily stand for ages if you want to give him fuss and attention .

Jumped clear at NSEA Grassroots at Hickstead 2024 in both Team 50 and 60cm, and within 0.49 second of optimum time. Can ride and lead or be led. His wonderful temperament (regularly gets ridden backwards, jumped bareback or with no reins or no stirrups etc) is not to be missed – he doesn’t have a bad bone. He has been featured on front cover of Pony Magazine and has a Prophet’s thumbprint. He is fast - our Head PC instructor thinks he would be brilliant at pony racing - we have only played at home with this and it was going to be the next thing we tried with him.

The only thing we haven’t done is much dressage as it’s not my daughter’s interest. Sad sale as the whole family adore him but my daughter is very tall for her age and has outgrown him. Vices - He doesn’t like his one ear being touched, can be a little sensitive and he can pace at a hunt meet or in a stable if bored.

5 star home essential - we would love to stay in touch. Based in Herefordshire. Sale includes full wardrobe (saddle was purchased and fitted for him) Whatsapp Joanna 07977 22 89 45 for more photos / videos or look at #gambitthepony on Instagram.

Honest add. Circus pony anyone?… ??

Seems to have been taught to rear on command (not by us)… or she maybe just think she’s human, lovely looking little pony and doesn’t seem to be bothered about having a rider on her back although we are far too big to be riding her at 5ft8, lunges fine, shes 11.2h but on two legs she’s around 14h.

She’s no lumps or bumps/ medical issues, clean legs and moves nicely, part bred Welsh type.

Ideal summer project / companion/circus/trick pony.

For sale on behalf of owner.

Full up 14.2 7 year old Irish sport horse mare- clover hill lines

Clover is a super fun loving pony that loves nothing better than to jump and have fun. She is not quite the finished article but at 7 years old she is improving every day.

She has been out competing at 80/90cm showjumping- proving to be a dream to take out . Absolutely no hassle at all, easy to load, great to travel and happy to stand on or off the lorry.

She loved Xc schooling proving to be very brave and unbothered by water, steps, ditches etc. - I’m sure she will be a very competitive PC / grassroots eventer.

She has attended pony club camp - where she was excellent , behaving impeccably.

We do hack her on her own, but our roads are very busy and she is more confident in company- she is getting better every time.

She has a lovely personality and never has an ‘off day’, always willing and happy.

No vices and up to date with farrier, injections, physio and teeth

Back in work after a winter break and will soon be ready to go out competing again.

Clover is ready to give her new jockey, whether a teenager or small adult, hours of fun

All rounder / project Pony

Ref #: 375852
  • Alfie is the perfect companion for someone looking to have fun
£5,000
  • Appaloosa
  • Gelding
  • 11 years
  • 13.1 hands
  • Alfie is the perfect companion for someone looking to have fun

Not suitable as a first pony.

Alfie is the perfect companion for someone looking to have fun. Although he has three beautiful paces and showring potential, Alfie’s heart lies in goofing about. He adores learning and performing tricks and has an incredibly sharp and active mind. He gets bored sitting in the paddock and enjoys having a job to do.

Super hacking pony, he could explore for days! Great in traffic and on roads, doesn't bat an eye at any farm machinery, but he is on the sensitive side when it comes to oddly shaped bushes, therefore needs somebody confident to hold his hand.

His flatwork is strong, I could see him making a cute little dressage pony. Goes 99% of the time in a bitless bridle or rope halter, and the other 1% in a snaffle. He has a lovely jump, although it’s not his favourite activity. Jumped to 80cm with rider.

No dirt (rear/buck/bolt etc), the most he will do is stamp his front foot if he is dissatisfied.

Alfie is an absolute Labrador, he loves humans and being mischievous. Suited to a laidback home where his personality is able to shine through and he won't be forced to do something he doesn’t enjoy. Alfie is incredibly capable, his talents range from liberty work all the way to lateral.

Will only consider a home with other horses. Kind, experienced owners are a must.

Home more important than price.

Minnie had the most fabulous temperament and is so easy to handle in and out of the stable. Has done lead rein and first ridden but would also make a superb jumping starter Pony as she jumps anything you point her at!

She’s responsive off the leg but very soft in the mouth. Doesn’t buck, rear, bolt etc. good to load shoe etc. She’s the perfect family friend and loves to be fussed over by the children. She has an incredible jump and will jump from anywhere you put her, she would make a good starter pony for a child looking to go out and start competing.

Well put together. Machno Chamomile is bred to be a competition pony, but has the temperament to be a nice allrounder/PC pony too!

Slowly brought on, going out to clinics and started popping a few fences. Proving to be bold and unphazed by fillers etc. Been XC schooling for experience, never pushed or overfaced, happily popping up and down steps, through the water and over a variety of little fences.

Good fun pony - not silly or whizzy but enjoys her job. Ready for a competent teen to take her on and start getting her out and about. Equally would be a lovely quality type for a small adult to enjoy and produce further. Potential in any sphere. Definitely won’t exceed 148.

Easy to do in all ways. Hacks alone and in company. Sensible but still green due to her age - no novices. Typical Welshy - passes big traffic, will hack on the buckle etc - but will still occasionally spook at a leaf that’s looked at her funny!

Born July 2020, so not quite 5 yet. Out of a welsh B mare, by Machno Dollar Edition who is Sec D x Oldenburg, with lines going back to Sandro Hit & the dam of Machno Carwyn.

Ginger 14.1/2hh, 8 year old mare. Ginger is a fantastic little mare who loves her job and would make an excellent all round or pony club pony.

We took her to Richmond a few weeks ago and her first time out over XC jumps and she loved it, so bold and brave.

Currently schooling round 80/90s and is keen as can be, really loves her job.

Her schooling is coming on great but is a little green in her flat work but still aims to please, this is through no fault of her own just lack of no arena at home.

She is excellent to hack alone or in company, and is safe and sane in open spaces, not bothered by any traffic or farm machinery.

Happy in a mix herd, easy to catch and handle. She is good with the farrier and dentist.

Up to date with teeth and vaccinations.

She travels well and is happy to stand in trailer but can take a few minutes to walk in the trailer sometimes.

She is a typical mare and can pull a face but that’s about it, equally loves a cuddle and will stand and be brushed/fussed all day long.

Ginger is a very special to her owners and finding the right home and rider is the most important thing so no daydreamers/ joy riders.

More of a second pony as she is a forward ride although always snaffle mouthed so no novices please.

Only for sale as she’s outgrown.

Passed a 5 stage vetting on 09/05/25.

Eclipse is a 6yr old Lusitano x Welsh mare with excellent breeding and a full AES passport.

Her sire, the cremello PSL Cartier II, was bred in Spain by Sergio Martin Dressage from traditional Veiga lineage and the dam, Brynseion Delilah, carries the respected Parvadean and Synod lines.

Eclipse has been produced slowly and correctly by a professional rider and is really enjoying her work with the scope to progress further with the right co-pilot. She has 3 balanced paces and an expressive trot. Eclipse hacks alone and in company and is happy to go first or last being unphased by traffic.

Eclipse has recently started jumping and is a real trier with a good technique into and over a fence.

Eclipse is a good do-er and can live in or out. She gets on well with both mares and geldings and isn’t mareish. She is currently barefoot and has excellent hooves and is good to do in all ways. She travels well and you wouldn’t know you had her in the box/trailer. She is a real ‘people pony’ and loves being pampered and helping with the poo picking.

Eclipse’s full history is known. She has no lumps, bumps or blemishes and has never ailed in the 3 years I’ve had her. She is now looking to go out and have some fun and continue her education with her forever friend!

Eclipse is open to any vets/trainers and can be viewed in Yorkshire.
