Black based few spot (E/E, LP/LP, PATN1/PATN1) colt born 05/05/24 out of 155cm KNN graded purebred Knabstrupper of classic type, Waterbank Sirani by 165cm KNN graded and Performance tested Knabstrupper, Tresaison Ricochet who gained Best Performance Test and Best in Show at the 2013 UK KNN gradings as a 4 year old and went on to have many wins British Showjumping up to 1.35m before being retired sound to stud.
Tresaison Ricochet is by Rubin Star N who competed at Grand Prix level dressage and was champion stallion at his performance test, he has also achieved ELITE stallion status with SHBGB due to his progeny and continued success at International level.
Waterbank Sirani is by the purebred classic Knabstrupper, Tornado af Knabstrup who was graded and performance tested, becoming the UK KNN Performance Champion in 2011 and being the sire of the leading Eventing Sports Pony in the British Breeding Futurities in 2014 and 2015, being ranked in the top 10 stallions for Eventing and No. 1 Sports Pony Stallion for Eventing in the British Breeding Fututity All Time Sire rankings until it was discontinued in 2018. Her Dam Vile Aetsted herself was also a graded Knabstrupper and was Champion mare at the UK KNN Gradings in 2005, she also competed at the FEI World Para Dressage Championships.
Not only does Waterbank Augustus carry all 4 of the Knabstrupper historic bloodlines, Mi, Ma, SK and ZS, he is also homozygous for the LP gene, as well as PATN1 and black, therefore if he is kept entire as a breeding stallion he guarantees spotted offspring!
His recent Elite award from the British Breeding Futurities proves he has the conformation and movement to excel but he also has the kind, willing temperament and the look at me attitude you want for a future star!
He is very well handled and will be fully vaccinated, passported, DNA tested, regularly wormed and feet will be regularly trimmed. Due to the current DEFRA regulations restricting the registering and grading of the Knabstrupper Horse in the UK (previously known as the Knabstrupper Sport) Waterbank Augustus will be registered and passported with The British Warmblood Society and will be presented at the British Breeding Futurities at Hartpury College on Sunday 28th July 2024, he would also be eligible for Knabstrupper grading as a Knabstrupper Horse outside the UK or if the DEFRA restrictions are lifted in UK.
The British Breeding Evaluation at Hartpury College was filmed by Clipmyhorse.tv so you can view the full evaluation. This advert will be updated shortly with the professional photographs from the futurity when they are available
Gus really is one not to be missed!
