Barney is a homebred registered partbred connemara made for eventing and would absolutely ace the Badminton grassroots with his flashy paces but he also loves his jumping and we believe he has the scope to go up the levels. Completely unphased by ditches, drops, water etc. You just have to get him straight and kick and so long as he understands he will jump it.

Barney is a real head turner, everytime we are out competing or training he is always complemented. He would make a top class show horse, perfect for the intermediate WHP or Working Show Horse Classes. However, he has picked up a small splint this summer, which he was given time off to recover from, but is still slightly noticeable.

Barney is green for his age but through no fault of his own. We don’t break ours in until 4 and which point they just hack until 5 and then over the past couple of years Barney has been to little ODEs, Hunter Trials, Dressage, Showing, Clinics etc but has had to be picked up and put down as an when my daughter her been around to ride him. He is currently competing at 80cm level and schooling at 90cm and has won on his last two arena eventing outings.

Barney has been given the time to physically develop and strengthen up, he has been regularly seen by our osteopath and is now at a stage where he is ready to crack on ahead of the BE season next year.

Barney absolutely loves his jumping and so we would love him to go to a home where this will be his main job. He thrives on work and is ready to be someone’s No: 1 horse although not for a novice or nervous rider as he is a proper competition horse. Being a homebred we are incredibly fond of our baby boy and will be very picky about the home he goes too. He is only for sale because my daughter works in London during the week and as her work is getting busier all the time, including travelling abroad for work, she is struggling to find the time to do Barney justice alongside her other homebred.

No vices, lovely and bold to hack but has always hacked in company, good in traffic and to catch, load, shoe and clip (although isn’t a fan of the clippers near his ears) and is such a pleasure to deal with at home and at competitions.

(Albion K2 jump saddle which has been fitted to him available by separate negotiation. His price is non-negotiable, he is a really smart little horse who will go far in the right hands and if he doesn’t sell now we will keep and produce him further but that means his price tag will also increase)

This lovely horse has the greatest of natures and the biggest of hearts. If you want a genuine allrounder who is always sane and sensible under saddle this is the guy for you! Every riding club member or grassroots riders dream! He might not win any races or jump round badminton 5* but he’s the type that will look after his jockey up to 1m, does a smart dressage test, looks after any level of rider, a saint to hunt and has a laid back attitude to life!

Archy is an approx 15.2hh rising 6yr old bay class 1 Connemara(N/N hoof wall)gelding. By the sire Caherlistrane Bay and the dam Glenview Daisy. Typical of his breeding he has proved to be extremely versatile, happy to turn his hoof to anything whether that be dressage, happy hacking or eventing. A lovely type with great feet, clean limbs, three super paces and a genuine jump he will excel in any sphere. Looks like a Ferrari but has the engine of a Mini Cooper! Perfect for someone wanting a quality straightforward horse without the quirks or a massive engine.

This absolute superstar has been a delight to own and has proved to be easy,simple and straightforward. He doesn’t need a pro jockey and will be very suitable for an amateur rider or would even take a novice. Doesn’t need daily riding to keep him sane, easy to pick up and put down, does everything in a snaffle including hunting. He isn’t sharp,doesn’t take offence at riders errors-he’s the ultimate fun guy! Has been ridden by a variety of riders from a 12yr old child to taking my novice work experience student hunting for the first time he really a super special one of a kind! The type who can be ridden in whatever weather even after weeks of and doesn’t change.

Three lovely paces,scored 68% in his last test with lovely comments from the judges about his future and ride ability. Would be an asset to someone who wanted to work through the levels dressage and continue to educate as he moved through the grades.

A very genuine jumper who goes exactly where you tell him. Has had lots of variety to show him the world whilst investing in his future and giving him a great basic start without being rushed or pushed. Has plenty of ability and finds it all very easy. No issues with fillers, water, ditches, doesn’t mind being missed and is always looking to jump between the flags.

Will turn his hoof to anything and has done everything from riding club, hunting, dressage, one day events and some showjumping. A true allrounder who’s happy to give anything a go!

Has hunted proving extremely brave yet sensible over all types of country. Great at the meet, doesn’t whiz up, will canter on the buckle and gives his jockey an armchair ride. Loves the beach and great in open spaces. Great to hack alone and in company, has been 100% in all traffic we’ve seen including crossing a busy main road and tractors. Used to dogs, cows and the quad bike.

Simple and straightforward to have on the yard great to box(trailer/lorry) shoe,clip,catch, turn in and out. Will live in or out with mares or geldings. No vices and can be handled by anyone even the non horsey other half turns him in and out.

Ideal mother/daughter share or an amateur riding wanting a fun allrounder who will do any job. Great prospect for grassroots, riding club or quality allrounder. He’s the type that’s so hard to find. Jack is just the best and you will struggle to find another like him , Jack has been carefully produced since a just broken 4yr old by a 14yr coming off ponies , he went from a x pole to 1m 10 in a year competing on all the riding club teams were he was placed at all the finals hes virtually won everytime out unaffiliated and is the winner of the riding club league two years in a row .Jack has an excellent B.S record and winnings from only a few outings .

He loves x country and is bold and brave to a fence and happily schools round novice .

He's an easy straightforward snaffle ride who looks after his jockey and will quite happily take a miss without being offended ( A 10 yr old child has played with him round a metre at home and he just looked after her.) .He's super clever and tends to just sort himself out . He's lovely on the flat and produces a lovely dressage test . Jack really is the ultimate up and coming superstar he hacks out alone or in company happily canters thru open fields behind or in front never getting silly or sharp . He doesn't need ridden everyday and is know different if left for a week or two . Jack is a horse in a million and has his whole life ahead of him . He would suit a junior coming off ponies or a very glamorous riding club horse or equally a horse to produce up the grades as he certainly doesn't lack power or jump . Jack simply is amazing and the home is so important as he's very special . We are not in a hurry to part with him and if the right home is not found he will stay and contest the HOYS workers next year .
