Talented & Smart All-Rounder Pony – Ready to Excel

Talented & Smart All-Rounder Pony – Ready to Excel

Ref #: 363154
  • Flashy all-rounder
  • Forward & enthusiastic
  • Potential to go far with confident rider
£8,500
  • Cob
  • Piebald
  • Gelding
  • 5 years
  • 13.2 hands
  • Flashy all-rounder
  • Forward & enthusiastic
  • Potential to go far with confident rider
Blueberry, who is rising 6, is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced rider looking for a flashy, versatile pony. He boasts a proven track record in Pony Club activities, and has the potential to excel in various disciplines. Due to his youth and enthusiasm, he needs a confident rider/handler and is sadly not the perfect fit for our young children, hence the sale.

Key Features:

Proven Pony Club Performer: He has actively participated in Pony Club events for the last six months with the previous owner, a competent 9-year-old girl. His achievements include:
- Qualified for Hickstead NSEA Schools Show Jumping
- Competed in Working Hunter classes
- Pony Club Dressage Championship qualifier
- Pony Club ODE, Show Jumping shows, and rallies

Forward & Enthusiastic: He is a responsive and forward ride, requiring little leg in the school. He has been hacked in the lanes, through woodland, and across fields, handling water, a motorway bridge, and trains.

All-Round Potential: Snaffle mouthed, he is excellent to lunge and, with the right rider shows great potential to perform a lovely dressage test or achieve a clear round.

Travelling & Health: Barefoot, up to date with vaccinations, dentist, and farrier. He passed a 5-stage vetting in January 2025. He travels well in both a trailer and a 3.5-tonne lorry.

Ideal Home:

Blueberry thrives on exercise and maximum turnout, previously living out full-time. He is best suited to a home with an experienced rider/handler who can further develop his potential. He has previously lived on a small private yard with 24/7 turnout and stabled only as needed and seems to prefer this routine. He leads to/from the field quietly and turns out / catches in sensibly. He is currently ridden by a 5’6” and 9 stone lady, and comfortably takes up the leg.

Important Considerations:

While generally well-mannered, he can be impatient when tied up on the yard. Therefore, he requires an experienced handler who can manage this.

Additional Information:

- New, professionally fitted saddle available for purchase.
- Sorry, no loans as we wish to find a true first pony.

This is a VERY hard decision. We’ve had Rodney since a foal, he’s been incredibly well handled & loved.

My plan was to do a few in-hand shows this season, but due to the girls other riding commitments we just haven’t got time. It’s such a shame to see him sat in the field whilst he could be doing a job.

He’s all up to date with vaccinations, teeth & feet. Good in all ways.

He IS NOT fully backed as he’s only 3 but we’ve done lots of long reining / story in tack and had lots of in hand practice.

He’s been used on photoshoots and was absolutely golden. Stood like a saint!

This really isn’t an easy sale. Please no time waster. And we’d like to keep in touch with new home.

Outstanding 12.2hh 6yo Traditional Gelding

Wizard is the epitome of a traditional cob, combining exceptional type, quality, and a golden temperament. He is the perfect partner for a competitive child or small adult, excelling in and out of the show ring.

A proven winner, Wizard has qualified for the RIHS in 2023 & 2024, placing 3rd in the Juniors, and also secured a ticket to London International in 2023.

For the past year, he has been ridden by a small 9-year-old with incredible success across showing, dressage, working hunter, and hacking. He has previously excelled in performance classes and thoroughly enjoys his jumping.

Wizard is truly one in a million—an easy, straightforward pony with a heart of gold and no vices.

His tack and extensive wardrobe are available by separate negotiation.

Super Smart 14.1hh 10yr old Quality Traditional mare, registered with TGCA

Oreo is simply one of the best ponies we have had on our yard for a very long time. She moves, she jumps and she’s just an all round wonderful soul.

She has three correct and uphill paces and has competed a local unaffiliated dressage competitions successfully.

Oreo is a lovely jumper, she’s bold yet careful. Again she has competed up to 80 level with ease, jumping up to 1m at home.
She has also jumped cross country fences and again loves it.

She has done a lot of Le Trec.
Won level 1 Trec competitions, qualified for national champs, always placed 1-3 in Novice winter Trec classes.

Placed first showing in-hand as a youngster.

Oreo has done lots of obstacle training, travelled and stayed away with no issues.

She’s mannerly, polite and generally easy in every way.

Superb in traffic, good to clip and happy to be in or out.

This is a genuinely sad sale of a very lovely girl. The best home is paramount and someone will be incredibly lucky to own her.

A classy filly with a leg at each corner. Sox is the first foal by our young Welsh D stallion, who is son of multiple Welsh championships & gold medal winner Cascob Brenin Dafydd.

Her dam has produced Welsh medal winners on several occasions. Her half sister on her dam line, Goldlands Flying Solo was a multiple bronze medal and silver medal winner by the age of 2 year old.

Sox is well handled and good to deal with, she will tie up & lead inhand, she is fully vaccinated, good with the farrier and has been regularly wormed from birth.

She has not been shown todate but we would expect her to excel when she does.

As a ridden or driven she is eye catching and would be an asset to any stud.

Sox is a lovely person with good manners. We expect her to mature to 15/15:2hh.

  • Moves beautifully and is a real head turner
I rescued him and his mum when he was only weeks old and I have been putting this off for sometime, I am in absolutely no rush and he will only be sold when I find him his forever home and his best friend for life, otherwise he will stay with me. Homes will be vetted.

He was very successfully shown as a foal and a yearling with myself and is the most incredible stamp of a cob and a true showman! Every time we went out the comments from the judges would blow me away! He really is one in a million. However with all the will in the world, showing just isn’t me, i enjoyed what we did together but he was born to be in the ring and sadly I wasn’t and my heart just isn’t in it. He’s not going to be big enough for me to break him as I am 5ft10 and it’s looking like he’s probably going to make 12hh maybe a touch more. It will break my heart to let him go but he has just become a pet and a companion and it seems such a shame when he has so much potential to go all the way. Please don’t get me wrong, if the right person doesn’t come along he will stay with me for the rest of his days, but I am just seeing if that person is out there waiting for him.

He will be three years old in spring 2025, he’s easy going, wants to be everyone’s friend, loves a fuss. Good to handle in every way, will live in or out, comes to call, leads, ties up, travels well, good to clip, good for the farrier and vet, happily wears rugs and doesn’t destroy them! Has a TGCA passport and microchip and vaccinations, worming and farrier all up to date.

I have tons of videos and photos of him.

No dealers, no time wasters, no loans, no payment plans. Serious enquiries only. Homes will be vetted. Price is negotiable for the right person and home

Based East Riding of Yorkshire

I am very busy at the moment so please message me not ring, calls can be scheduled if I feel you sound like the home/person that I am searching for for him

Introducing Wizard the Pony, a delightful little equine with a heart full of magic!

Wizard is a friendly and playful gelding who would thrive in a home where he can mature and grow into a wonderful companion or future child riding pony once turned four years old.

Wizard would benefit from being part of a home with other young horses where he can learn, socialise, and continue to grow in confidence.

Wizard is good to handle and would make a great addition to the family.

Can you offer Wizard a loving new home?

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

13.3 cob mare 9 years old. Sweet, quiet, easy to do mare. Remi is a good all rounder, very straightforward ride out hacking and good in all traffic. She has been used to lead-rein and babysit the youngsters and proven to be solid and reliable.

We have spent time this year getting her out and about, doing forest rides, xc and dressage comps and she has grown in confidence with every outing.

She has 3 lovely paces on the flat, but has only started schooling this year so the canter is still a little unbalanced. However, she has been enjoying this and we feel she would excel in a dressage home, having produced a lovely test with great comments from the judges.

Remi can be forward when schooling and for this reason we feel she would be best suited to a competent teenager or small adult.

Up to date with teeth, vacs and farrier (barefoot). Loads and travels well, is good to clip and bath. Will live out or stabled with mares or geldings. She is a lovely pony with a lot of talent to give.

Nellie is a real sweetheart who loves to be made a fuss of

She has been ridden and driven in the past and has been a companion pet for the past 5 years. Good with the farrier, catch , load etc and she’s really easy to have around.

She is happy to be on her own in or out of the stables and is great with other horses.

Sadly looking for a new home

Absolutely top class HOYS quality mini cob gelding
5 this year.
Approximately 11.3hh
Black Blagdon
TGCA registered.

Yogi has been shown in hand for 2 seasons with me and has won so much including lots of championships including TGCA and was reserve supreme of show at a county show last year.

He has competed under saddle at 2 shows and has won both times .

His movement is straight, forward and correct.
With a free floating action which is always admired by so many judges.

No lumps bumps or blemishes. Easy to catch, box, shoe and is happy to stay on his own if his mates go out.

Has hacked out on a busy road. He is schooling well under saddle and has been ridden by an 8 and 11 year old as well as a petite adult.

He recently went to a local event where he successfully took part in games which he really enjoyed.

He has done a bit of jumping at home and loves it .

He would also make a good driving pony.

He will go to the top in the right hands in whatever direction you choose.

This is a heartbreaking genuine sale.
Open to any trial and vetting .
Full wardrobe available.
Please no time wasters.
Yogi is such a happy pony and deserves a little person who will love him. sadly I don’t have a little rider.
Loads of pictures/ videos available.
I am in contact regularly with his old owner and she will also want to stay in touch.
