Beautiful, genuine and talented Spanish gelding with an exceptional attitude. Established in the paces, safe to hack alone or in company, excellent in traffic. Good to catch, Load, Groom, Farrier.

Imported directly from Spain in September 2023, originally unbacked, he has been carefully and sympathetically produced in the UK and has progressed into a genuinely enjoyable riding horse.

He is well established under saddle in walk, trot and canter, He is forward-going, athletic and responsive while remaining sensible and honest. Enjoys the Arena as well as outdoors.

He is safe to hack alone or in company and is equally happy exploring new routes. He is exceptionally good in traffic and is completely unfazed by buses, lorries, trucks and busy main roads. He will confidently pass large vehicles without hesitation.

A genuinely kind and honest horse who has been given the time to mature and develop correctly.

He is forward-going, intelligent and willing, with a fantastic attitude towards his work. He wants to please and is the type of horse that makes you look forward to getting in the saddle.

Reason for Sale

A genuine and heartfelt sale due solely to a demanding shift-work career and changing work patterns. Unfortunately, I can no longer give him the time and consistency he deserves.

He has been a pleasure to produce and I am looking for a knowledgeable, experienced home where he can continue to flourish and fulfil his potential.

Zelote Pagan is a striking 16hh, 9-year-old chestnut PRE gelding, imported from Spain and registered in the Spanish PRE Stud Book.

He is a talented, well-schooled dressage horse with three lovely paces. He works comfortably in walk, trot, canter and gallop and is trained in a range of dressage movements, including Spanish Walk and piaffe.

Zelote is responsive to light aids and will move forward and stop on command without needing force through the reins. He is comfortable, confidence-giving and genuinely enjoyable to ride.

His temperament is outstanding. He is calm, affectionate, sensible and extremely well behaved, with no known bad habits. He stands quietly for grooming, the vet and farrier and is loved by everyone who handles him.

He is excellent in traffic, good around other horses and animals, and thoroughly enjoys hacking. He could suit a capable novice, family, riding school or experienced rider wishing to develop his dressage ability further.

Zelote has always been kept on full livery at a professionally managed farm with approximately 52 horses. He has received the very best care, with no expense spared.

His vaccinations are fully up to date, he is registered with Pool House Vets, has been tested for strangles and previously passed a full five-stage vetting with no issues. Buyers are welcome to arrange their own veterinary examination.

This is a genuine and very difficult sale because I no longer have enough time to ride him or continue my dressage lessons. A knowledgeable, loving and permanent home is extremely important.
