A very sad sale (due to our change of circumstances) of this gorgeous classic grade 1 golden dun mare. Only 7 years old.

She is a very straightforward brood mare with a lovely temperament. She is sound and is open to any vetting.

Prior to breeding 2 classy foals she was backed and ridden.

We are selling as a brood mare given her fantastic breeding lines. Her latest foal is weaned and she is ready for spring covering.

She was previously backed and ridden and has never had any injuries to prevent her excelling in any discipline with ridden work and experience.

Our family pony is unfortunately now for sale to a breeding or inhand showing home, or the right ridden home. She just isn't the right pony for a beginner, and won't be sold to a novice I'm afraid.

She has lived with us on a busy farm for the past 4 years, and has seen so much and not been fazed by any of it.

Unfortunately her and my daughter don't get along with ridden work, she is still very green as was broken later on in life, (after previously being very successfully shown in hand for many years)

She is absolutely AMAZING on the ground with both my 8 and 4 year old daughters, she is happy with dogs and goats around her legs, and would never kick.

She has seen heavy farm traffic, right past her stable, had cattle and sheep penned right beside her, she really doesnt mind any of it.
We have hacked out inhand with my daughter on board and led out and she's not worried about traffic on the road.

Shes turned out with mares and gelding as a herd and on her own and is happy either way, she really doesn't cause any trouble, she can be tricky to catch at times for an adult but any kid could catch her! Once she's got your trust she's fine.

Sad to be offering her for sale as she's become part of the furniture but unfortunately just not for us and such a shame to see her being a field ornament when she has so much to give.

Anieta has been a fantastic mare for me and has bred me 3 beautiful foals, all have which been retained.

Super easy breeder, foals exactly on her due date every time and I’ve used both fresh and frozen semen.

Would be a perfect first mare for someone or would fit right in to an established breeders program.

She’s had one Connie foal and the other 2 are out crossed to dressage stallions. She breeds big foals, with beautiful natures, lots of bone and flashy movement.

Lives out all year, super easy to do everything with.

Never ridden with me, she sustained a field injury prior to me buying her but is completely field sound.

Super sad sale but I don’t want an easy life and I’m focusing on my dressage breeding!

12.2hh rising 11 years old. Has won a Bronze Medal in hand.

Was lightly backed in 2022 after weaning her foal and was very straightforward. We took her out to a couple of shows in hand where she did very well. Just recently my daughter and got her in, tacked up and went for a hack after having weaned her last foal!
I’ve made the decision to stop breeding for a while and whilst I would love to pursue Ophelia under saddle, my daughter’s ponies take up my time. My daughter only wants to jump and Ophelia would be more suited to an all round home as she’s not a showjumper.
She is straightforward in every way.

Never been clipped but will happily let you clip under her chin. Will fidget when being bathed but will let you do it fine. Doesn’t like rugs going on/off but doesn’t do anything other than drop her bottom a little - I think she would get used to this in time but she’s very rarely rugged with us!

She’s perfect to catch, farrier, she loads well but has been known to sweat up when travelling. She’s good for children to lead, pamper etc.

Breeding - she’ll run out with a stallion or cover in hand. Never sick or sorry.

No lumps, bumps, blemishes or vices. She lives in or out - when In if she can’t see another pony she will stress but does settle quickly.

We are based Isle of Wight - please don’t be put off by the location, we are 20 mins from the ferry and have good transporters here.
