  • The most delightful and charming horse, a true professional, good to hack, shoe, clip & load
  • Loves to work and loves getting dressed up and going out and about (he knows how handsome he is!)

Timmy is the most delightful and charming horse, and it breaks my heart to be putting him on the market, but although he is happy having a quieter life, he loves to work and loves getting dressed up and going out and about (he knows how handsome he is!) and whilst I've had so much fun competing with BD with him, my heart lies in eventing.

Timmy retired from his eventing career at the end of season in 2023 and since then continued to teach me a whole new category of riding in dressage.

Winning two Novice classes and second in another in our first outings, giving 100% between the boards, showing he has the scope to go higher, he nearly always led the dressage out eventing.

Unfortunately, Timmy had a field accident in May 2024 and had some time off work, but is now sound and back in work, but university commitments mean I am not able to give him the time he deserves.

Timmy is a stable favourite, beautifully mannered, good to hack, shoe, clip, load and travel (trailer or box)

He really is a one in a million horse, and I would love him to retire with me, but he would be wasted and deserves to go to a home where he can continue working, getting out and about, be it hacking dressage, showing or just having fun.

This is a truly heart-breaking decision and he will only go to a 10* home.

Phoenix is a stunning skewbald mare who arrived in our care from a private owner needing to secure her future. Described affectionately as a "big baby," she has a sweet and inquisitive nature. While she may be a little cautious with new people at first, once she settles, she’ll happily come over to the gate to greet you.

She enjoys being groomed all over and is good with having her feet picked out. We’re currently working on building her confidence with the farrier, and she’s making great progress towards being seen unsedated soon!

Phoenix is flexible in her living arrangements, she’s just as happy living out as she is spending time in a stable with a companion nearby. When it comes to feed times, she can get a little eager, so feeding her separately ensures a relaxed and positive experience for everyone.

Phoenix would thrive with an experienced owner who can continue her handling and training, helping her grow into the wonderful, well rounded horse we know she can be. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving equine partner with plenty of personality, Phoenix could be the one for you!

WANTED: Schoolmaster type for low-level dressage & hacking

Ref #: 347155
  • Temperament and safety utmost priority above talent
  • Calm, forgiving nature, more kick than go type
  • Long-term home in full livery at specialist dressage yard supported by BD trainer
  • Temperament and safety utmost priority above talent
  • Calm, forgiving nature, more kick than go type
  • Long-term home in full livery at specialist dressage yard supported by BD trainer
ISO a schoolmaster type prioritising temperament and safety above talent to do low-level dressage and hacking.

Gelding preferred, 8-13yrs, 16hh max. Absolutely no vices and quirks. Open to some reasonable medical maintenance as long as disclosed.

Reasonably healthy budget for deserving horse.

Open to various levels of schooling as long as established in 3 basic paces and snaffle ridden. My trainer can take over the next stages of training and further education. The main thing is the forgiving nature to give confidence and look after his rider.

I want to appeal to horse owners who may be reluctant to highlight or mention the docile qualities of their horse as the main selling point. I suspect highlighting such qualities tends to deter buyers willing to spend good money or offer an experienced home. After all, talent and proven capability are ultimately what is judged and rewarded during tests.

I am after what some might call lazy but I look at it as simply opting for the easy life. Some call it boring and dull but I characterise it as predictable and steady. I don't mind a little bit of nudging as long as he is kind and genuine. I don't want a horse that is guaranteed to win rosettes and to go up the levels because they are almost always too sharp and strong for me. World beaters or those with exceptional talent need not apply.

I am appealing specifically to private horse owners who know their horses like no one else and have years of partnership to back up their claims.

Please get in touch by sending me a whatsapp at 07442254052 if you think your horse is ready for his next home.

I am a sympathetic, lightweight rider trained in a classical way who is able to devote time and resources to provide the best training, care and upkeep for my horse in a zero pressure, relaxed environment.

It will be kept on full livery at a smart and professionally run, specialist dressage yard with a qualified and highly respected British Dressage trainer for 1:1 support.

Please whatsapp 07442 254052. I'm happy to send videos of myself riding and details of my trainer and yard.

Companion Pony - Freddie

Freddie is a stunning Palomino Irish Sports Horse with a big personality and a lot of love to give! Known affectionately as our "Giant Barbie Horse" for his striking looks and golden coat, Freddie is looking for a new home after returning to our care due to a change of circumstances. He’s a gentle giant who thrives on attention and would suit a confident handler who can offer him a steady, routine-based environment.

Freddie is a friendly and affectionate horse who loves attention. He’s used to being handled and enjoys human interaction. However, he can take some time to settle into a new home, so he will need someone who is patient, confident, and consistent in their approach to help him feel secure. He’s a big horse with a big heart.

Freddie would be happy living with other large horses, where he can enjoy the company of his peers and establish strong herd relationships. He thrives on a daily routine, which helps him feel settled and secure.

If you have experience with larger horses and are looking for a stunning companion who thrives on attention and routine, Freddie could be the perfect match for you. He's ready for a fresh start and is looking for a forever home where he can truly shine. Could you be the one to give Freddie the home he deserves? Come meet this gentle giant today!

  • Happy Hacker
  • 15hh to 16hh
  • Age not important

I am looking for a horse to loan. Ideally something looking for a quieter life as I will only be hacking on quiet lanes, bridle-tracks and occasionally loading up to go to a nearby forest or fun rides.

Must be sane and sensible and able to hack out alone and in company, I don't mind forward going or something that will have a look provided it will listen to the leg. My days of sitting a buck or a spin are long gone and I am just wanting to enjoy riding a like-minded horse.

I have stables, fields, a small track and manege at home and can guarantee a horse a lovely home with good references from vets, trainers PC, RC, BE professionals. Said horse will need to be chilled about coming in and going out by itself as I have 2 x non-ridden ponies here but would not keep all 3 together all of the time.

Sorry no sweet-itch, laminitis cases, we have midges and plenty of grass!

If you think you have something coming up then please get in touch, I can be flexible about loan duration and will always be mindful of the fact that I am loaning someone's much-loved horse. I am based on the Hereford/Worcester borders.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

  • Sweetest temperament, loves a fuss and will be your best friend!

Westie! (Westweld) has raced once and decided it wasn’t for him.

Around 16.2hh 6yo gelding, fully ROR eligible. A good home is a top priority.

I originally bought Westie for me to produce and event, but with having a full time job and loosing my confidence I cannot put the effort into him that he needs.

Westie has not been in work for the past 3 months due to my work commitments and no fault of his own. He isn’t an easy ride and does need further training. He has attachment issues to other horses and has his quirks which can be solved with commitment and routine. He is not a horse you can leave for a week and get back on.
He can be naughty hacking out alone and he would prefer to be in company.

Westie has an exciting future and is sure to excel with the right training. He is well established with his flat work but doesn’t have much experience with jumping. He will need to be brought back into work slowly. He is green and would be a great project for a confident rider.

He is an absolute gentleman in the stable, he can be a box walker when stressed. He loves attention. Good to handle, clip, shoe, travel etc.

He has previously had a splint, which is no longer active and has been vet checked. There is still a tiny lump but is no issue.

Up to date with vaccinations, shoeing, dentist.

Please no time wasters, this is an incredibly hard decision and only the best home for this gorgeous boy.

Tack is included. Loan/Sale

Message me for more photos on WhatsApp.

16h super smart SHBGB bay gelding, 15 yrs.

Fantastic opportunity to lease a very special, experienced event horse who has had a career to Intermediate. He was busy last season at BE100 with his teenage jockey, won the 2024 Blenheim HT RC Eventer Challenge 100, and is ready to go out and party again this time!

The most genuine horse who knows and loves his job and always looks after his jockey. He’s a pleasure to take anywhere, not fazed by a big atmosphere and loves to get out and about. Easy to hack in company or alone. Always ridden in a snaffle and never strong.

Would suit a lightweight, quiet, kind, competent junior looking for their first horse off ponies and/or to teach someone the ropes out eventing.

Would downgrade so could be aimed at Badminton Grassroots.

Travels well in trailer or lorry although prefers the latter if he has a choice!

Only available due to looming ‘A’ levels and University this year. To stay at current idyllic, peaceful eventing yard within easy reach of a host of great competition and training venues including Swalcliffe, Lyneham, Aston le Walls, Addington, Rectory Farm & Allens Hill.

110% professional care, great facilities and excellent support team; farrier, vet, physio. Brilliant off-road hacking for miles. Opportunity to train and travel to competitions with the team.

I’m afraid we don’t want him to hunt or team chase
