Lawndowns Daisy - 14hh rising 8yo blue and white mare.
Same home for the past 4 years. Ridden by all members of the family from tiny tots on the lead, hacked by a 9/10 year old, 12/13 yo pony club girls for rallies, competitions and camps and mum to compete also. A true versatile safe pony.
Daisy is a super safe hack, alone or in company. Fantastic with all traffic including double decker buses, all farm machinery, motorbikes etc.
Will happily take the younger children out on the lead, hacked by my daughter off the lead from age 9 but has predominantly been a mums hack to babysit the children/other ponies. Have always led from her which she does perfectly.
She has competed in a few dressage competitions keeping a very level head and was placed in all classes. Would benefit from some more schooling as we don't have a school but she is very responsive off the leg and her lateral work is coming along really nicely.
Daisy Loves her jumping! She has competed upto 80cm sj and 70cm xc (schooled over higher in both) predominantly with myself but more recently with a novice 13 year old.
She has never had a stop, as long as you get her to the middle of a fence with your leg on She will keep going. She hasn't done masses of competing but she is the sort you can not jump for weeks then just take out and pop round a course.
Last year she did a double clear at the Bicton mini pony club champs with a 13 year old, filled in on the last day of pony club camp with my 10 year old after her pony went lame and took me clear round trebudannon hunter trial along with many more outings I between.
Daisy is a keen jumper so not a first ridden type.
She loads herself in the trailer and travels like an absolute dream. She is very easy to clip, I don't even tie her up.
She lives out most of the time but equally loves a snooze in her stable when she does come in. She is barefoot and always has been however I'm sure would be easy enough to shoe. She has never been lame or had time off work.
Daisy is my overgrown labradoor that will follow you around the field and loves cuddles and a fuss, she is not marish at all.
Her only down sides are that she does like company, she will stay in on her own but not out without stressing.
She gets a sun burnt nose but I have a uv nose guard that she wears in the summer that will come with her.
She has worked really well as a mother/daughter share but would equally love a pony club home with a teenager or a riding club home with a smaller adult or would happily be your super safe happy hacker.
Comes with full wardrobe.
