Flight is a 16.2hh rising 12yr old gelding by Dignified Van’t Zorgvliet out of Ardenteggle Flight. He has evented successfully up to 4* level and is heartbreakingly, just one 4* short run away from being 5* qualified.

Unfortunately, over the last year or so, Flight’s love for his job has significantly diminished and we no longer feel it is in his best interest to keep asking him to leave the cross country start box. Many times over the last 12 months, he has been on good dressage scores, show jumped clear, but just not had the will to run across the country. At this level, they have to want to do it and we feel it is now fair on him to look for a home who wants a total superstar in one of the other two phases. Indeed he may well go and rediscover his love for eventing with another rider, but we cannot guarantee this.

I’ve had the pleasure of producing him up the grades from BE100 upwards since 2019, so know all of his history and have a million a photos and videos of him. He’s competed at the Young Horse Championships as a 6 and 7yr old and the prestigious 8/9yr old Championships at Blenheim Palace. He’s contested Bramham, Kronenburg, Blair, Chatsworth, Thorsby and Gatcombe, so is accustomed to “big” atmospheres.

Flight is 100% fit and ready to go, regularly pinging around Fox Hunter classes with us this winter and show jumping clear at Poplar Park last weekend. He has also hunted regularly this season with the Readyfield Bloodhounds and loves it!

He is good to do in all ways, but is a very fit, very well-bred top class competition horse, so will definitely not be suitable for an amateur. If you’re an ambitious rider, looking to have a consistent show jumper, then this is your guy.
