Rising 5, Eventing/Dressage Prospect

Leo, as he is known at home, is a rising 5-year-old AES Registered gelding.

His mother is by the Hanoverian stallion Scolari (Sandro Hit X De Niro). He is large-framed, very long-legged, and impresses with a wonderfully harmonious profile. His movement in the trot and gallop is fluid and always demonstrates absolute self-carriage. His walk is absolutely tactful and hardworking, and he has a fantastic overtrack. The dam of his mother is a Thoroughbred by Rappongi Dancer.

His sire, Powered By Imagination, is by the Hanoverian stallion Baroncelli, who competed successfully up to Inter I, out of a mare by Welton Apollo, who competed up to 5*, completing Badminton multiple times.

Leo is large in frame, standing at 16.3/17hh. We bred him ourselves, so he has only had one home. He has been produced quietly to allow him time to grow into his body, which has included a lot of hacking. He is good in traffic and hacks well both alone and in company. In the school, he is responsive to the leg and easy in the contact. His trot is floaty and light-footed with good shoulder freedom, and his canter is ground-covering with a consistent uphill tendency. His jump has plenty of scope, and he demonstrates a good understanding of when to shorten and lengthen his stride.

In the stable, Leo loves attention and is happy to live in or out. He is good for the farrier, clipping, and the dentist, and he has traveled in both a 3.5-tonne lorry and a trailer.
