After 8 years in the same home, we are looking for the right person to take on our much-loved 12-year-old gelding. He originally raced on the flat before retiring as a 4-year-old and is best suited to an experienced home where he can enjoy regular hacking and low level schooling. Boy loves his work and needs someone who has the experience and time to enjoy him.

In the school, which he enjoys, he works very nicely in walk, trot and canter (although sometimes struggles with right lead first time) with some basic lateral work, and would be very capable of doing a low level ROR dressage test. His real joy is hacking by himself or in company he really doesn't mind which. He's good in traffic, and loves riding in the New Forest, popping the odd log and handles streams etc well. He can be forward-going, so he needs an experienced, confident and patient rider. He is at his best when ridden 3/4 times a week (or more) and in a routine.

He is very affectionate with exceptional manners in the stable, has no vices, and is good to load and clip, as well as for the farrier and dentist. Very occasionally he can spin and be a bit silly leading in and out, so he requires an experienced owner, in an ideal world someone who know thoroughbreds.

He can live in or out with appropriate shelter and regular rug changes. We're looking for a committed, experienced home that will maintain his routine and regular exercise to keep him occupied, he loves having a job.

Comes with tack and a full set of rugs.
