Ace is a stunning 11 year old ISH. He measures 16hh.
He has an amazing background, is beautifully schooled with great paces and excels at dressage. He is exceptionally talented. He has had numerous wins at county level as an amateur riding horse, qualified and went supreme at Royal International in the amateur riding horse championship in 2021, as well as qualifying for HOYS in the same year.
We got him as a family horse and have thoroughly enjoyed hacking and schooling with him, but his skill far exceeds our ability and need. I am a novice coming back into riding and my daughter is learning.
Ace would suit someone wanting to progress in dressage, seeking a responsive and willing ride. He is not suitable for a novice. He will hack alone and in company, but needs a confident rider as he can be spooky.
We have not jumped Ace since he has been with us, but he has been jumped in the past.
He is the kindest most loving gentleman you can meet. A total heart of gold and desperate to please. My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed grooming and making a fuss of him, as has he.
Ace is good to load, shoe and clip. He has been turned out with both geldings and mares with no issues. He tends to be at the lower part of the pecking order, and just fits in quietly.
Ace has sarcoids and weaves, which has been reflected in the price. They don't affect him and I am happy to discuss this further if interested.
Ace recently passed a stage 2 vetting.
This has been a very difficult decision, but Ace deserves the opportunity to meet his potential.
