Ruby is a 14-year-old, 16hh Grade C mare with plenty of experience in the ring.

She’s competed up to Newcomers with her previous owners and has been consistently jumping 1m courses with her current rider. She’s bold, scopey, and loves her job—she’ll take you to the fence every time and never stops.

She’s helped me progress from jumping unaffiliated 80cm to competing in my first affiliated/British Showjumping competition at 90cm and 100cm. The last time I competed her was in the summer, where we came 2nd in the 90 and jumped clear in my first metre.

That said, she’s not a novice ride. She’s forward-going and can be sharp under saddle, but never silly. Ruby is a typical mare on the ground- she can be opinionated and likes things on her terms.

Hacking alone she can be spooky, but she’s great in company. She also needs sedation for the dentist and clipping.

Ruby’s had low mileage over the past year due to GCSEs and now A-level commitments, but she’s fit and ready to get back out competing.

Good to shoe, load, and travel. She’s best suited to a confident, competitive rider looking for a talented horse to jump.

Due to the demands of A-levels, I don’t have enough time for Ruby and I’m unable to give her the attention she deserves.

The right home is very important.
