Burtie is an exceptional young horse who is destined for big things. Sired by the renowned stallion Sligo Candy Boy. Out of a select Irish dam line.

Burtie is a lovely sweet natured horse with a very trainable attitude, and has a big presence about him. Whoever meets him loves him! He is a slightly sensitive boy but extremely willing and always wants to please his rider. He hacks out alone and in company, he is often used to baby sit the just broken ones out on their first hacks! He really will go far in any discipline but could really see him go to the top in Eventing.

Burtie has been XC schooling multiple times, proving very bold jumping everything asked first time! He shows natural talent and bravery, and goes straight into water.

He moves very well on the flat with athletic and big paces, he has won unaffiliated Dressage with promising comments from the judges for his future.

Burtie has jumped clear Affiliated Show Jumping on a ticket in Ireland and has been out winning unaffiliated SJ with us, ready to affiliate now. He jumps all fillers, isn’t spooky and although he’s young and green, he does help the rider out at all costs, takes a miss and has never stopped with us!

Open to any vetting (clean 5 stage vetting when purchased) we bought him from the breeder who we are very much in contact with, so full history known.

Priced to sell and he’s very sensibly priced for a horse with this much potential. Would suit an amateur or easily good enough for a professional to aim for top sport.
