The lovely Lionel really needs a new home with some wanting to focus on dressage. He's incredibly loveable and would make a wonderful family member, but he's super talented and he's certainly not a plod!
Looking for a new home . Screenshots from dressage video now added!

Competing Novice, Elementary soon and training at Medium level.
Lionel (MJI Rameses) is a charming, loveable and much adored 16h grey 8yo, who was bred in Hull but is registered as an ISH. He was sold through Monart sales as a 3yo to a young event rider and then moved from her to a grassroots rider who has been showjumping him at grassroots level until COVID put her off horses altogether. I bought him November 2023 as he moved so well and was so delightful to handle, and he had such impeccable eventing breeding. It was hope that he would make a 5* event horse, as he had a very good technique and lots of ability.
Sadly however he has no passion at all for going cross country and does not have the bravery required for jumping big fences. He is super happy jumping in arena and doing exercises, and grid work for example. He does however love doing dressage and working in the arena and will happily work in the arena many days in succession. He loves the discipline or learning new movements and improving his way of going. He is delightful to ride on the flat and he loves doing competitive dressage. When it became apparent that he didn’t want to event I hung on to him with the intention of going up the levels in competitive dressage and because my trainer an FBHS begged me to hang on to him and train him up to PSG because he was improving my riding beyond anything else I have ever ridden, because he has such ability and because he is such a nice person.
He loves doing competitive dressage, he has won his last four competitive dressage outings. He will be out competing at Elementary imminently and is currently training at Medium level.
He would suit a lady rider, as he is petite, and whilst he has good movement he does not through you around. He takes a 6’3’ rug and a medium narrow saddle.
He is a doddle to handle, you can take him anywhere solo, I do, I have no one to help me ever. He will tie to the lorry or stand beside it whilst you tack him up. You can clip him without tying him up. You travel him without or without company. You can hack him out solo, or in company. Since he has been with me, I have used him to teach multiple lessons off, he has been to riding club camp, where I was coaching and everyone adored him. He has been used for PC stable management training as a guinea pig. He is fine with tractors and big vehicles, we are a working farm. He is cheap to keep, as he has very good feet and comes from tough blood lines. He will live in or out. He is very affectionate and loves cuddles.
He deserves and would love a loving home where he is appreciated for his charm and where he can progress in dressage and excel at what he loves doing. Sadly I just cannot afford or justify to keep a horse solely for dressage. I have expensive event horses and youngsters coming up that are showing aptitude for eventing.
Further videos and photos available. I don't have masses of videos of him competing as I am always on my own when I compete him.
