Godington Balenciaga has been blessed by both her parents.
From her sire EH Herzensdieb (GrPr dressage) she has inherited fantastic paces with a very free shoulder and active hind leg.
From her fantastic mother, 3* eventer PM G Barcelona (Elite G Hannibal/Graciano) she has received a brilliant and effortless natural and accurate jumping style and wonderful temperament.
This young mare has everything going for her.
Backed as a 4yo in 2019 and sadly stalled in her competition development during 2020 due to COVID.; Now back on track just delayed by a year. She has now won at both Novice and Elementary dressage with over 70%.; She has also been placed 2nd in an unaffiliated ODE at 90cm. Qualified for the Cotswold Cup and Horse Events championships at 80 & 90cm last year.
She is easy in the stable, good to hack alone or in company, good to box and shoe. Stands without being tied up to be clipped ; such a good girl in every way. She will make a brilliant all rounder/top class riding club horse for an ambitious rider. She has a tremendous walk and trot and has been assessed by championship Para rider as temperamentally suited for Para dressage. This does not mean that she is a bombproof, braindead plod. She is a lively young competition horse but has a sweet and forgiving nature that will tolerate rider imbalance and mistakes.

- Recently awarded a premium by her stud book (Trakehners UK) and then went on to be the top scorer at the NaStA 2021 Stallion Performance Test (approved mares permitted to participate) being assessed at Class 1 (Elite). 2nd place in her first dressage test (Dressage Anywhere) Novice 27 with a whisker under 70%. Followed closely by a win with 74% in her second Novice test (24) (Dressage anywhere). Clear round in her first SJ class 80cm. Has won her first ever ODE (unaff Horse Events Elmwood) 80cm by a country mile from the other competitors on her dressage score of 23.5; Jumped ditches, coffins, water jumps, steps - all out of her stride. SInce then has gone on to record double clears at unaff 90cm ODEs at Elmwood (placed 2nd) and Aston le Walls (placed 7th) and recently placed 9th at a demanding 90cm class at Swalcliffe UA ODE. Also recently achieved just under 80% in a 60 x 20 Novice dressage test and a win at Elementary with 73%. Last year gained a qualifying score for the Cotswold Cup Series Championship at 90cm.
