Murrys Story!

I bought Murry 3 years ago to do dressage and showing and other RC activities. He was always willing to please and wanting to learn, working well in an outline with loose supple, straight paces. I then became pregnant with a difficult pregnancy and birth; I kept him ticking over until hopefully I could get back in the saddle

In October last year after a field incident Murry became unsound in his near fore foot- not hopping just unsound. After a thorough veterinary investigation including the Animal Health Trust and MRI scan it was decided that time/rest and shockwave therapy was the way to go; which he has had. Murry has been back in light work since March though still unlevel on the circle - he is absolutely fine for hacking and fun rides. He is long reined once a week and hacked out when favours allow. Never being silly when not ridden for a period of time

I am unable to ride much, my favours are running out and he is getting bored and fat in the field. I am open to all suggestions, but with a toddler, and another retired horse I sadly cant offer Murry what he needs any more and most of all he just wants time, love, cuddles, and some fun round the fields

A best friend for someone looking for a horse who will give back everything that is put in

1997 11.2hh Welsh Section A mare

We purchased this exquisite pony from her breeder, who had shown her successfully in hand as a youngster as well as breeding a foal

In Autumn 2002 Lily was broken in by Kerry Gibson and shown with great success by Kerry and her daughter Lauren, with many wins in Lead Rein showing classes and easily qualifying for the Summer Champs

Lily came to us in Autumn 2003 and she has been an absolute dream pony in every respect, but my daughter now needs to move onto a 12hh pony and so we have made the heartbreaking decision to sell Lily because she is too good and too special to leave in the field doing nothing

My daughter was only 4 years old when we acquired Lily and in that time she has done local level showing on the Lead Rein, which she usually wins, Young Handler, which she usually wins and has been Champion many times and never lower than 2nd place, because Lily is so easy and responsive to handle

At the suggestion of local judges, we did some NPS and BSPS shows in 2007 and were well placed each time in good company and qualified for Ponies UK M&M Lead Rein at our first and only attempt - In more experienced hands, Lily could go to the top in M&M show classes because the judges always love her

Lily has also attended Pony Club rallies, Pony Parties, both on and off the lead rein, and absolutely loves it.  She will pop a little jump and really enjoys hacking out, both on and off the lead, either with or without company

She does not need lots of work and you could literally take her out of the field and to a show, into the class straight from the lorry and she is exactly the same as if she had been ridden and prepared beforehand.

My daughter’s riding instructor absolutely loves Lily because she is so responsive to voice and is absolutely push button both on and off the lead rein.  She is very safe, has no vices whatsoever, lives alone or in company and is so easy to do that anyone could look after her

Her only issue is that she was been treated for first stage laminitis in May this year but, with immediate veterinary care, was sound again within a week.  With the normal preventative care in Spring, there should be no further problems in the future, but this has been reflected in her price

Lily is open to any veterinary examination.  She is up to date with farrier/worming/teeth/back check

This special little pony deserves the very best family home where she can be loved and cherished and in return she will look after another little jockey/s safely for many more years to come

This has been a heartbreaking decision for the whole family to part with her, which we have taken a long time to reach, so please only genuine enquiries

Solo is a wonderful horse for an experienced person, he is very well behaved out hacking alone or in company, he will not buck, rear or nap,  he is forward going and would not really be suitable for a novice

We have owned Solo for over 7yrs and is much loved but due to down sizing he needs a new home also due to medical reasons I can no longer ride and Solo does like to go for rides

It makes no difference to Solo if he is ridden once a wk or once in 6 mths he rides exactly the same

He is use to running with mares and geldings and taught our youngster who has been with Solo from being 6wks old good manners

Solo's manners in the field or the stable are excellent he would never dream of biting, kicking or barging you out of the way, he has to be one of the easiest horses I have ever owned to clip, shoe, dentist, vet etc He is up to date with jabs, teeth and worming

Solo is now 19 yrs but neither looks it or acts it, in his younger days was a show jumper but is to old now to start jumping again but would do very well in veteran classes so am looking for someone who just wants a "happy hacker"

Before this, he was always placed at unaffiliated dressage at Novice level - Regularly receives great collectives for paces

Trained with BYRDS Central region this season, and is an ideal BYRDS pony - Winner of West Oxfordshire Riding Club’s Pony of the Year 2007, as well as their Prelim and Novice Dressage series

He represented the Junior Dressage team at the Riding Club National Dressage Championships in Lincoln in September 2007 after being part of the successful Riding Test and Novice Dressage team at the Area Competition where he was also placed individually

He is not a Novice ride as he can be bright, so needs a competent rider and home - Very sad loan/ sale as owner is off to University- he will be very greatly missed

The picture I have inserted in the advert was on the first day we backed her - She now looks rather smarter and fitter as she has been away for four weeks professional schooling and has been trimmed and pulled

Although she is only 3 she looks well grown and ready to go on into full time work

She is hacking out and being ridden in the school - She is jumping a small course of show jumps and show promise at flat work - She has good paces and is light in the mouth

She just loves attention will stand to be groomed and fussed over all day long a really lovely girl - Good with dogs and children as I long reined her with both running around.

I am looking for a good, competent home as she was a gift for my daughter who is still on ponies and will not be ready for a horse for a good 3 years or so, but if she does well could be loaned for longer so don’t feel I will be snatching her back after you've put all the work in

Please remember she is a three year old and will behave like a three year old, so please no novices or children

She is ready now to go on to a home that will use her and I’m sure do well - She will not however make a good show horse as she has a wire scar on her off hind leg and her near fore is turned in but its not horrendous and she moves perfectly straight no dishing or flicking of the foot

This lovely pony is a true Welshman with lots of bone and a gorgeous head. He is winning on the lead rein locally and has many wins and championships in hand. He also hacks out happily.

I feel this genuine little man could go much further and as I just have too many ponies to show, i would like to find him a 5* showing home where his potential can be realised.

He has also attended showing clinics and is currently on a professional yard for further schooling.

He has no hang-ups or quirks and is very genuine, being very calm and sane at shows , no need for hours of lunging and will stand at shows all day.
